No. No. No....this is a pitch n putt course. You don't need a cart. I'm a senior. This course takes about an hour. No one else was golfing. I told the woman at the desk that I was the only golfer in my party but that my wife was going to walk with me. The woman told me that it didn't matter whether or not my wife was golfing. My wife would be charged almost the same whether she golfer or not. I just walked out....no wonder the course was devoid of golfers. read more

Wow! It's absolutely awful! There's an older white woman who I swear has to be extremely racist. She was nice to a group of golfers in line in front of me. Then I approached her to let her know that their WiFi was corrupted and did not work. She yelled at me literally and I had to say that all I was doing was letting her know so she could call someone to fix it. I was trying to help them! She said the t hat she had no time. I then stated that I wasn't needing to use it I just wanted to help. Well, I will not interact with their staff again. Rude, ignorant and plain mean to their guests is this woman's approach to me. This place sells lottery tickets and when I stopped to purchase the lady workin did my tickets wrong and printed an extra one when I asked for it to be fixed she cursed at me then she wanted another $20 for her misprint the 4th ticket instead of arguing o asked for my other $20 back she refused and kept it. I am a disabled person and she took advantage of me also disrespected me theft from the disabled is wrong and illegal but she didn't care . I would not go to this business unless you want to be ridiculed me in front of other people . I've never felt more embarrassed and belittled in front of people than she made me feel . Stay away from here if your disabled because you will be made to feel like your less of a person. Pretty sad people still conduct business like this. **** Update to my review from yesterday.... I called to speak to the manager and she informed me she agreed with her employer to steal money from me amd they weee keeping it . The worst customer service I have ever had to deal with! We played 9 and payed for 18 only when the lady said we could get a refund after 9 if we didn't want to play another round, when we decided not to play she changed her story and said we can not get a refund or credit. If you don't want to say in Vegas or St George, this is a great stop. Not far from the highway, cute old building. We were arriving late and checkin was a breeze, they sent simple directions via text. We are driving a camper van with bikes on the back, and driveway and parking were extremely easy because it's built to accommodate the on-site RV park. Nothing special about the older rooms or interior of building, but it's clean and the AC works great. Note that pool is closed for what looks like the long term. I would stay again read more

Bird poop all over our window and all over outside. Birds living in the walls and ceiling. The room was very stinky and musty. The smell of dog poop near the stairs in back of lodge. Very outdated! No water in the pool and their reasoning was "they have hard water issues". Bar and restaurant hours are short amount of times. The check in staff was nice. Booked rooms for $85 back in March for the Beaver Dam Jam in May, drove 5hrs to get there excited for our stay. When we went to get our rooms we were told that our reservation had been canceled but if they had a room we could pay $200 a night for our stay. The excuse they gave us was bogus and we did not call and cancel our reservation. This place only wanted us to pay the higher rate, if you want trustworthy, honest service stay away from this place. read more

My father moved to Littlefield. My brother, sis and I decided to visit him. My brother called the resort 2 weeks before our visit to make a reservation with the RV park. 7 days later my brother and his wife came down with covid and had to cancel their trip. They were not given a refund or the opportunity to use their $300 for a visit at a later time. I stopped by the resort while in town to speak to them in person as none of us could believe that this would actually be policy. The lady at the desk was EXTREMELY rude. DO NOT STAY HERE-THE PICTURES LIE there is no water in the pool but they will tell you it's seasonal. the grass on the course is dead, but they will tell you that's seasonal too. when i asked for my $208 back Lori the 65yo manager- in 20yo golf shorts- said no refunds. when i asked for a return voucher for when the pool was filled she laughed because it was never going to happen. either she doesnt know about the internet or just doesnt care anymore. anyways- i drove over to The CasaBlanca whose pool was full and their golf course a beautiful live green. read more

We had a wonderful stay at the Beaver Dam Lodge. The owner Lori was extremely friendly and also was the chef behind our excellent dinner. We were traveling with our dog and we learned that the Beaver Dam Lodge is very pet friendly. We also enjoyed a beautiful evening hike on the golf course. What would you expect from a hotel room that cost you $180 a night? Would you expect a room with a closet? Would you expect a window you could look out of, perhaps with a view (as opposed to a window that started 5 feet from the ground, like you were in a basement)? Would you expect something more than a single desk chair to sit on? How about a bathroom large enough for an adult-sized bathtub with the toilet more than a foot away? Perhaps with some decent water pressure and a toilet that flushed properly? Or towels that were a little nicer than the absolute cheapest available on the market? For $180 a night, would you expect some staff employee to check you in if you arrived past 7:00pm, and for the front desk to be used for something other than stacking old boxes and junk? Would you expect an elevator to the second floor? Would there be a cart available to move your luggage? If you would expect ANY of the above amenities at a $180-a-night hotel, you will be sorely disappointed with The Beaver Dam Lodge. Why anyone would think this hotel is worth this amount is utterly beyond me. Many of my complaints about the poor quality of this hotel might seem trivial. Most $180-a-night hotels might have actual glasses by the sink, instead of plastic Dixie cups, or coffee mugs instead of styrofoam. There might be a thermostat, rather than a noisy window unit. (They might even turn the heat on prior to your arrival when the temp is below 40 degrees.) There might be stationary with the hotel logo, or at least a notepad, or a pen. The ice bucket they supplied MIGHT have been a nice touch, if there were an ice machine on the premises. And, I can only wonder what the potent stench of the Glade air-freshener was meant to cover up. But, the worst indignity to this stay, was that at 8:00am the next morning, there was still not a single employee available. Forget your $180 including any sort of continental fare. Indeed, there was not ANY breakfast (or even a vending machine, for that matter) available IN THE ENTIRE TOWN. At 8:15am, I left my key on the cluttered front desk, and drove away from the "historic" Beaver Dam Lodge, having not spoken face-to-face with a single employee-- my wife, children, and I with empty stomachs. (I had retrieved my key the night before from a lock-box outside the hotel, and pre-paid, online.) THAT is what you get for $180 at The Beaver Dam Lodge. Truly, this hotel is a DISGRACE. read more

Very unfriendly staff. Management was rude and not the least bit accommodating. We asked the manager where our small group could have a meet and greet and play lawn games the next day. She showed us a grassy patch adjacent to their patio (Which we were advised we were not welcome to use). She said the only stipulation was that we not serve alcohol. That evening we set up our tables and chairs, spread out our potluck and beginning to fill our plates, when the manager came out and made a public scene. "You have to get out of here right now. You can't have food here." When we reminded her of our arrangements, she basically called us liars, saying, "I never said anything like that" Our group is elderly, ranging in age from mid sixties to early nineties, and has several disabled members. Needless to say, the logistics of moving our tables and chairs, food laden tables, filled dinner plates and our disabled members was a great challenge. Apparently we didn't move fast enough, because she then stepped out on the patio, and screamed at us, "get out of here immediately!!" There was no need for her lack of professionalism or discretion. Earlier in the day, one member was unable to connect to the electrical supply. She told him it was his problem. Our warning to others: avoid this place! They are not friendly. read more

IF you like mud, goose poop, no signage, long greens and rude female employees..this is the place for you!!! The cost for golf is the same for either motorized cart or walking, the lady in charge worth large diamonds on her fingers (from the price of golf), was very rude!!! The course, and I use that term loosely, was in very poor shape, the greens very high and no signage telling you where the next hole was located. I came here today for lottery tickets , after picking my numbers i went up to the line with my 4 year old son who was standing by my side the whole time. When it was our turn my son saw a bobble head toy and said I know where this goes and went to put it on the table where the rest of the bobble toys were. The lady behind the counter shouted "you need to bring that back here, those are very breakable!!" I said I would put it back when we left. As we were leaving I looked at the table and asked him which one it was and he wasnt sure, so I left without putting it back. As I left the lady behind the counter followed us out and sarcastically said " Hey thanks for putting that back!!" I called from the parking lot to talk to a manager and got Lori, SHE WAS THE LADY THAT WAS SO RUDE BEHIND THE COUNTER!!!!!!! After some research I found out that she is actually the owner!! I told her that my son was not trying to break the toy and she said that they were not toys!! Then she told me that i need to control my child and we wouldnt have a problem. She said she was a mother of ten so I guess that makes her the authority on child rearing, I told her that I didnt need any parenting tips from her and she hung up the phone. I have never been treated this way. My child thought he was being good by putting the toy back where he thought it went. He is such a good boy. I am so upset by this woman. I still cant believe it. Also..... these toys were plastic, and I would have paid for the toy had he broken it. read more

Whatever you do, do not under any circumstances book this hotel through any online services, such as Priceline or Hotel.com, after 9:00 and expect to be able to check in. We booked it through Priceline because we were driving through and it was late. We were ready to stop. No where did it say during the booking that the office would be closed. We get to the lodge and looked everywhere, no one. We called the number on our confirmation and left a number, we received no return call. We did, however, receive a message that we were a no show and would be charged the full fee. We tried to get a refund since we were not no shows and they told us there was a night time number and we should have called that. Well, there was no "night time" number on the paperwork that was emailed to us and there was no further information on their website. They said the number is on the door. We did not see it. I am sure these people will get on here and say how sorry they are and that there was a number, well, I am not an idiot. Obviously, they do not make it easy for after hours arrivals. If you are going to advertise on sites like Priceline, I would think a reputable company would make it very easy to arrive after hours or make it known there are no after hours arrival checkins. I would not ever use a company that seemed to be ok with this sort of behavior. Seems like they just want to collect easy money without having to do anything for it. read more

We had a room scheduled for a Fri and Sat night and my husband hurt his back and couldn't walk. They were very UN symphathetic to this situation and still charged us for the 2 night stay. I feel this is very bad customer service. We did try to cancel and got nothing but a recording because it wasn't during their business hours. Be prepared and warned! We recently had a bad experience at the lodge. If I could give it a "zero" star I would. They are not pet friendly. We reserved 2 nights...on the second day they asked us to leave because our dogs were "too hairy." We had paid the hotel cost plus a pet fee for 2 nights. They asked us to leave and refused to refund our 2nd night, even though they asked us to leave. I don't feel the hair on the floor was excessive. The owner was rude, but I didn't want to continue a conversation with her if she wanted us to leave. We've traveled all over the U.S. and Canada with our dogs for years, dogs shows, competitions, etc., and have never been treated this rudely. Our dogs are golden retrievers (K9 therapy dogs), visiting hospitals, nursing homes, child haven, reading with rover...our dogs are professionally groomed every two weeks, plus brushed in between. The owners are very mean and rude people, and should not be in service industry. Even the lodge is not "historic" it's just old and need of repairs. The parking area has vehicles on cement blocks...like a junk yard. The photos on the website don't reflect the current status. The grounds are full of weeds and mole holes. I can't stress enough...really bad place...stay in Mesquite...there are nice pet friendly hotels in Mesquite...nicer golf courses and very friendly people welcoming pets. read more
