A couple of holes on the Pointe 9.

I really enjoyed this muni. The people working here were incredibly welcoming. The conditions could use some help but I know I'm playing a desert course in the summertime. Played the Woodbridge and Blackrock 9s. Woodbridge starts off with a bang. The first 4 holes are really cool. A meandering par 5, a tight par 4, an uphill short par 5 with trouble all around the small green, and a spectacular par 3 surrounded by water. The rest are solid but don't stand out after those. The Blackrock nine starts off with a straightforward hole but it gets interesting quickly with two par 5s in the holes. Both are gettable but have trouble lurking everywhere. Hole 2 is a dogleg right with a ditch about 40 yards short of the green and trouble all along the right side. A big tree on the right projects that second shot from getting close to the hole. Lots of options on that difficult second shot. Hole 4 almost has a buttonhook at the end. The green is completely blocked out by a small tree but it's very playable up the right side. Really cool feature. Then you go up the hill into the lava rock. Those holes reminded me of Hawaii. Just a great course overall. Lots of walkers in the cool morning in the desert. I'll try to do that next time. I hope to play it again soon.

Nice course. Having 3, 9 hole tracks keeps it interesting. Driving range could be longer.

The course is well maintained, enjoyable, and beautiful. Allow at least 4-1/2 hours to play 18 holes.

Woodbridge is most people's favorite; it has old growth cottonwood trees and a classic walk-in-the-park feel.

To my surprise, I was told that my Glide 58 degree was only worth 20 dollars. 20 dollars for a brand new wedge with a Tour edition S400 shaft? The shaft alone is valued at $60, never mind the wedge itself. Add maybe $30 value since it's an older model, and that wedge should sell for at least $90, anything less than $80 being a terrific deal. Not $20. $20 is the price I bought an old Hickory 1-iron for, not a mint condition Tour-issued wedge you can't find on the market. For background, this was a wedge I had ordered from the Tour van at a Canadian Tour event I played in a couple years ago. This wedge had maybe 10 hits on it, and was still in mint condition- the only reason I was trading it in being me not happy with how much bounce it had. It was still a good club though and worth every dollar of what it should be elsewhere. Anyways, the same employee also told me that my Vokey 46 degree was worth maybe $50 max, not realizing that I had ordered it brand new from Titleist 3 weeks ago for $160. He then told me that it would probably be of more value as a desert club than being a trade in here. Apparently, hitting 2 fairway bunker shots with a brand new wedge devalues it $100, but what do I know? I just have 20 years of tournament experience and play to a plus handicap nowadays. Needless to say, they were lucky that I was in need of a wedge right there- as I had a tournament in 3 days and my 60 degree had been stolen, so begrudgingly they got my business still, but for the first and last time. As a tournament player with over 20 years of experience, including D1 collegiate and professional level events, I know golf clubs very well. Some of my highest finishes include a low amateur finish in the 2016 Hawaii State Open, a top 10 finish at the IMG Junior World event at Torrey Pines, and a made cut in a Canadian Tour event. I've also been the first alternate into two Tour events, the PGA Tour Sony Open in Hawaii, and the second alternate into the European Tour Hong Kong Open. Needless to say, I know the industry quite well including how things work. I will not be back and will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. Stay away if you want a legit experience. Go here if you want to be scammed on value for your clubs
