I also reserved for 2 hours and we were only allowed to play for 1.5 hours. I understand there was other large parties, many of which seemed not to have reservations, but I thought the point taking a reservation was so they could plan for the bays and time slots to be occupied. That didn't seem to happen. Service was also fairly poor; we saw a server and were able to order drinks, but didn't get a check back until like 40 ish minutes in, and by then we assumed the food wouldn't get to is in time or by the time our reservation was over. The golf was fine, limited games. We did have issues with the sensors not reading a lot of hits, definitely ate into our time.

We had the choice of Estrada at Snow Canyon or Black Desert Resort just 5 mins up the road. One in our foursome had injured his knee and was walking with a cane. My wife and I had our clubs shipped out but the other couple also needed to rent clubs. T say the least, we dropped some coin to play this course. When we proceeded to the first tee the starter told us that it would be cart path only. My severely hobbled friend went back into the golf shop and asked if he could have a handicapped flag. His request was refused. When he came back to the tee he said that if he knew it was cart path only he would have passed on the round. I will say this, they made the correct call because the course was so wet/muddy it would have been dangerous. That said, we should have been warned of the very poor conditions. One member we met apologized for the condition and said it was due to an incorrect application of a herbicide. We played but the experience of the Kidd redesign was nice but not enjoyable. I sent a note to the Inn at Estrada detailing the information above and was told that the member was only spreading a rumor and that they were not going to provide some sort of compensation. We are retired and travel quite a bit and we all said that was the worst course conditions for a highly regarded tract we have ever been on. Troon is involved in management of the course and by just looking up our names they might notice how many of their managed courses we play. They should have been able to do something to compensate for that lousy. Now the food and general service was excellent but we are judging only the golf here. We will never return and we even question playing a Troon course in the future when traveling without first asking a lot more questions. Our suggestion though is to go down the road and play Black Desert Resort.

He was rude to the people checking in and told them they always return their carts dirtier than anyone else. keep them out of the mud. I thought maybe he was having a bad day (it was 0745), but he was also rude to our group. How does the city allow a person like this to be the first person greeting you and taking your money to play on a ghetto course. If I could give this golf club less than one star, I most defiantly would! The fairways are more dirt and mud than grass. The greens have so many unrepaired divots and are in terrible shape. Mulligans in South Jordan Utah is in better shape than this place. I don't like to complain, but BOO on this Golf Club, and I use that term very lightly. My first sentence says it all.

I was golfing this morning and noticed some boys who were staying at The Villas exploring the river…read morenear the course. The golf Marshall approached the boys and began yelling at them to leave and threatened to call the cops on them. The boys couldn't have been more than 12 and had no idea they were in the wrong. When they tried to leave the Marshall yelled at them that they were leaving wrong. Their dad came up and asked me if the boys were in my way or causing a disturbance and I told them no. They boys were polite to me but Rod in the office continued to be rude and threaten to call the police on the boys.
