This was a very challenging golf course. It was super windy and that made it tougher. The layout is right, at times narrow, but well manicured. I'm a 21 handicapper and I hit some very good drives and irons. Fast greens and lots of rough around greens. This was my nemesis. read more

We Couldn't have asked for a better experience. The golf course is not only situated on a beautiful landscape in the red mountains, but was in wonderful condition. The staff was very professional and I would like to personally shout out the woman who was the starter! We did get paired with two other gentlemen, so be prepared for that possibility! The stting and backdrop to the golf course is absolutely incredible scenery. One of the most beautiful I have ever seen!! However for some reason the staff allowed 2 threesomes to join togethere together to make a six some which slowed things down a ton. Came here from Las Vegas , NV 08/24/24. Golf course was beautiful but the customer service was ridiculous. On Saturday I had a tee time at 11 am . My cart was dirty, my cooler wasn't cleaned it had red dye inside with bad odor the seats were sticky felt like adhesive it was that sticky ! Thinking about it I wanna throw up! You would think they clean and rinse it out at the end of the day !?! Fortunately I do carry sanitizer wipes especially traveling so I ended up wiping it myself . I wanted to tell the worker who distributing the carts , but he was busy talking to another customer and they had already called my name out to the front . I don't think I'll be coming back here. Only got through 14 holes because that took 4 1/2 hours and had to catch a flight. It would've been a 6 hour round, waiting on every shot and 3 groups sitting on a tee box. Yes it's cheap for the area but you get what you pay for. The course is fine but hard to enjoy when it's that slow. read more

Even though it is a little bit out of the way from St. George city proper, it was well worth the drive for me. The course was in decent shape, the set up was playable and fun, pricing is slightly elevated, and the backdrops and views are utterly jaw dropping. We were the first group off on a Sunday morning and I was paired with another twosome. There's plenty of elevation change that brings a fair amount of blind shots, especially of the tee variety (4,9, and 17 stick out in my head). So having a someone with local knowledge or a solid GPS can definitely save some strokes. There are plenty of Kodak moments on the course where you have to bust out the camera or just stop and take in the view. I felt the back nine played flatter and straighter than the front, but overall, all the holes were pretty unique and you didn't feel like you were zig zagging, playing the same type of hole. Service was friendly in the clubhouse and I got more information about the area from the starter before I teed off. One of the employees even chased me down in the parking lot to return my pullover which I had left in the cart. My fees for 18 and a cart were $75, which is OK. Some of the tee boxes were beat up and unlevel, and the greens ran about medium speed. The only issue I had was that they let some groups out on the back before we made the turn, which completely slowed us down and removed any rhythm that we were trying to establish. The group directly in front of us had us waiting with every single shot. A marshal needed to be watching this group and pushing them. We were out in 1:30 and back in 2:10, but that was only because that group in front of us called it quits after 16. read more

Great views and great golf. My husband and I enjoyed the stunning scenery. The golf course was in great shape although the greens were a little bit slow. Pace of play was decent - we waited quite a bit for some shots because the course is pretty tight. Range was on mats due to working on the grass. Would def go back. The setting at Sky Mt doesn't get any better than this gem of a golf course. You might expect to pay hundreds of dollars for a course this beautiful but no, it's very reasonable priced. I don't think I've ever played a course more beautiful. It's ten times better looking than the nose bleed priced Black Desert. read more

In short, Sky Mountain is a very fun course. A little out of the way from St. George, in the town of Hurricane, you'll find this gem of a golf course. Me and a few friends were down here for a golf trip and decided to play Sky Mountain. We all played it years ago so decided to give it another go. It was a lot of fun. The course is quite short (like just over 6,300 yards or something from the tips) but is in great shape and the greens roll nice. The price is also right. It was like $59 for 18 holes. Fun to have to place shots off the tee. Some of the highlights include the last few holes that lie on the edge of a giant gorge. If you are down in the St. George you should definitely play it. read more

This fun little cafe is in the ground floor of the golf course. It is a one person chef, cashier and cleanup joint (at least when we've been). The food is simple and tasty. For breakfast I typically have a breakfast burrito and for lunch a sandwich or burger. Definitely in the category of bar-type food--stuff you just crave every once in awhile! read more

Update- came back to this course 2 weeks after and the bunkers had sand in them and the grass was much more manageable! Glad to see the conditions improved I hope it stays this way. read more

Oh my gosh.. what a beautiful golf course. How does this place not have 5 stars? I came from LA to see a softball tournament in St George in July 2020. Let me say, I was shocked & amazed by how much I loved this place. So my friend came with me on the trip & they are a huge golfer. My friend travels a lot for tournaments, and has been to numerous golf courses. This was one of their "top 10" courses that they've ever been too.. Do I play golf? No, Lol. But since my family & friends like to play golf, I do spend sometime on the golf courses and this one was prolly one of my favorites overall. Beautiful Course!! Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains complimented by a course with a lot of shape and movement. The course itself feels very engaging and interesting. Also, while I am not a very talented golfer, I imagine this course would be an enjoyable challenge for those who are since it's so dynamic. We wound up relying on the map quite a bit since you actually can't see the pin from a lot of the tee off locations. There was also a helpful digital map/gps in the golf cart itself. The digital map and the print map are both more "accurate" diagrams than the physical signs placed at the entrance/tees of each hole. I can't comment on the concession stand, since we didn't buy anything from it. The staff members we did interact with were all very friendly and accommodating. The surrounding neighborhood also seemed very friendly (although some of the houses are built much closer to the course than I'm used to). read more

Beautiful course. The red rock and mountain backdrop is awesome! Front nine is out in the desert so swing away. Back nine is all through the neighborhood so watch out for the houses haha. Everything is well maintained and the carts are really nice. They have screens that help you see how far out you are and how far out the other golfers are. Really nice staff and a great choice for golf! I also hear the grill at the clubhouse is really good. read more

Golfed at Sky Mountain today. The course is a little older but they have taken great care of the greens and fairways. We had breakfast at the pro shop and it was excellent, the gentleman working the grill was awesome! Super friendly guys in the pro shop and good prices on gear, I bought some new shoes for under a hundred bucks and they just gave me another 10% off just because. The snack bar did get pretty backed up at lunch time so we had to skip it to keep pace of play...I would suggest they send hotdogs around with the drink cart lady. read more

Friends 5 day golf trip and this was our first course. Entering the clubhouse the backdrop of red mountains was breath taking. It was jacket weather at first with a cold front blowing through. Hole 17 and 18 have tremendous 360 views of surrounding hills. The course was not in good condition, the tee boxes had lots of weeds and fairways had bare spots. If you play this course before 9 am you can enjoy yesterday's water still in the cooler. The greens still being mowed and being made to wait. To top it off the head pro can come out anytime he wants and cut in front of you! Bring your fly rod plenty of standing water read more

I've played and enjoyed this course often in the past. However, on my last outing after being charged, what I call a relatively high green fee, I discovered that they had sanded all the greens. I feel if they want to charge that high a green fee they could at least inform you of the course condition when you call to book a tee time. If the course is not in top condition then don't charge top dollar. read more

The most beautiful golf course I have ever played on or seen (in person or on tv). You're playing on beautifully green and perfectly manicured grass while the backdrop is red rocks in the near distance and snow covered peaks in the far distance. The course wasn't overly crowded but busy enough that I had to join another group going out (which I hate but do understand). The prices are quite reasonable which is an added bonus. This course is still a great course due to the scenery that surrounds it. The course is tough, laid out well and the people are friendly. Unfortunately I had to downgrade my review one star because the course is just not in the best of shape. It's OK, but definitely not like it has been in years past. Every green was bumpy, not just a little but a lot. The tee boxes are either bowed (rounded with little very little flat areas) or beat up. Sand traps are hard pan. Hole 11/12 seem to have been under construction for 2-3 years now with little progress being made. We'll be back but we'll probably skip this one on our next golf outing and come back in a year or two. read more
