I love golfing in St.George there are so many places to golf and this is always a favorite. Great friendly staff members like Paul who had a cart and water waiting for us and directing us to our tee. It's been a few years since I have been here and it has only gotten better! It looks like they recently changed the boxes on several of the tees and still adding more. The greens were a little fast but after the first couple holes we got a hang of it. Amazing views and kudos to the maintenance team keeping the fairways and greens in top condition during the summer months! The club house was also upgrading their kitchen. We had a group of 16 golfers who drove over four hours to come and play here. We were treated very poorly by many of the staff members, especially Zane. He was very unprofessional and acted like he could care less that we were there to golf. We were also watched very closely on the course by the course marshall who kept telling us to keep moving even though we were ahead of the time scheduled. The course was in good shape but with the way we were treated by the club house management and the course staff we will definitely not play there again. There are many other options to golf in St George where we are treated much better. read more

Coral has changed the placement of the red tees. 4676 yards is totally too short for the average woman. Moving tee boxes to the fairway-really?? We can play white but 5810 is a little too long. Not sure what the motivation for this. Greens super dry. The course was in better shape last year. Needs some work! We need the woman's tees to 5200 yards would be more fair! read more

Coral Canyon is an above average golf course in the state of Utah. I'd rate the course layout and beauty of the red rock 4/5 stars. It's been a few years since the last time I played it, but the course's condition has definitely declined--the greens are bumpy, and the grass is isn't kept up as well as it has in years past. But with all that being said, still a very fun course and one of my favorites in the St. George area. Give it a shot! read more

Well the views are nice. That's about all I can say for this course. Friday 11am tee time is $125. No towels, no waters, and service is just ok at best. Played the front 9 in about 2 hours as we started to back up on hole 9. Played the back 9 in 2:50. Almost a 5 hour round. Marshall's drove by several times and we asked what's going on and we are told the groups in front are on time. Get to 14 and 4 groups on the hole. Just terrible pace of play and no one says anything. Always enjoy 5-7 minutes to hit a shot. What a waste of $125. Thanks Coral Canyon for nothing! read more

I am glad to see the course is getting back to a satisfactory condition. It was very bad for about three years and we just didn't play it. I was told the condition was better and it was. Service is still unbelievably bad. It's like they don't know how to run a business let alone a golf course. No beverage carts on a Saturday. Girl inside said the cart girls show up if they want to and don't if they don't want to. Really! Seems like they had one cook, one counter girl and one person in the pro shop. It certainly looked like the course was full. They have coolers on the carts but I don't think they know what a cooler is for. If you buy a couple drinks at the snack bar, there is no ice to keep it cool and no one on the course to sell you more. I know this is St George but come on! read more

The place is first class for beauty and lay out for a reasonable price. People working here are so nice. Maintenance of the course is excellent. The desert and Sedona type surroundings are memorable. They work hard to enjoy coming here and to keep coming back. Looks like a newer resort as the nearby homes look modern. They don't overcharge fir drinks and food which makes me like it even more. read more

I'm giving 5 stars to the entire staff of Coral Canyons Golf Course for coordinating this magical proposal with my husband. Everyone knew what was going down that day and did not blow his cover. It was my 1st time in St. George, UT and now it'll be a place I'll be back to relive this moment at Coral Canyons. My hubby proposed on the 6th hole and everyone there did such a great job with accommodating to our needs that day: proposal, marriage ceremony and photography. The three stars is for the course. We played today and had a good time. What makes this review not five stars are the other details. It's a $90 green fee and no waters are offered on the course...you have to buy them. First two water jugs on the course were empty at 930am. No cold wet towels. It was 107 today. No pencils in the carts to keep score and the starter didn't have any to give out. Ice bucket was empty outside of the clubhouse. At 8am every single den caddy on the range was empty. As we were finished and pulling the cart close to the parking lot, there were two young cart barn boys out front not doing anything...just on their phones sitting in chairs...they don't clean clubs...when we cleaned out our own cart one of them set their phone down and pulled it away. Not sure what they do there. Show a little hustle with a wet towel, clean some clubs, make $20. Super super disappointing. It could be a very nice environment with some very basic tweaks. Just up the road for ten more bucks is a course that is doing things correctly...Sand Hollow...they'll give customers the respect/quality they deserve. read more

Now that the Coral Canyon Golf Course is under new ownership and most of the course reconstruction appears to be completed, I expected a great golf experience. The layout and course design is magnificen. But the condition of the tee boxes, greens, rough and fairways is very poor. Some of the tee boxes are very worn and it is like teeing off on dirt. And many of the fairways are not much better. The price was just increased this March for the busy season and is very expensive considering the condition of this golf course. I would sure like to see the the course greatly improved and restore it to the 4 Star rating it's capable of receiving. read more

I'm glad the course is under new management. The tee boxes and fairways were great. The greens still need work - they were very bumpy today and slow. The practice putting green was faster than any green on the course. Glad they give range balls with the green fee. Not my favorite course in St George area. read more

I have patronized Coral Canyon several times a year for the last decade and always LOVED this track. Since I last played in June of 2019 it has turned into a horrendous experience. Greens were the speed of most courses fairways and have frequent dead spots. The tee boxes were shamefully destroyed. A myriad of burnt out areas in the fairways and literally no sand it the traps (it was removed and left as clay waste areas). Their cart paths disappear into creeks in several locations. DO NOT PLAY HERE! It is not worth $20 a round let alone the price they charge. I feel terrible for their employees, I can only imagine the barrage they receive from angry patrons. Rating is for the course...was in good shape for the middle of summer. Few gimmicky holes and short par 4s that people wait on so it backs up pace of play wise, but the conditions were good. Morning pro shop rep was friendly and attentive. After we finished, we tried to go see if we could play again and the new pro shop rep acted like us asking was a total imposition to him sitting on his phone. Giving us 1-2 word responses, complete opposite of the morning guy. I had called a week before and asked if we needed a 2nd time, was told that we didnt...jndersta d how they could have filled up but this guy didnt bother to tell us that until we had to pull it out of him that they were full. Outside service guys were phenomenal...was just this one interaction that left a sour taste in our mouths. This course probably won't make my normal rotation when I'm in the area because of this - especially with other similar courses around that are in the same price range. read more

Wow, how has no one reviewed this course yet?! My regular foursome makes the drive up from Vegas to St. George/Mesquite for a few days every summer. This course is on our must play list. And if you plan on playing in Mesquite/St. George it should be on yours too. The course is located about 10 miles northwest of St. George...conveniently right off the highway. During the summer the non-local rate is a very reasonable $48. If you make a tee time and are coming from Nevada, just remember there's a one hour time difference.... we forgot the first time. We've only played here mid-summer... but the few times we've been the course has always been nearly empty.... which makes no sense to me! Maybe all the retirees up there only play when the weather is a little cooler outside. If this course was in Vegas it would be in my top 3. The course is beautifully laid out. Gorgeous high desert/mountainous scenery, and no houses anywhere to be seen from the course. I would consider it medium difficulty... not too difficult for the higher handicappers, but still a challenge for the better players. The course has always been in great shape when we've played.... lush green fairways, thickish rough, and smooth running greens. If you want to spend a night in St. George and play 2 great rounds... book one here and one at Sand Hollow. You can't go wrong. It's a great change from the purely desert layouts of Las Vegas. read more

I'm actually okay with giving this 2.5 stars, but nothing more. While Jan, our starter was very helpful and friendly, the guy (name unknown) in the restaurant didn't seem too interested in helping us. After we asked to see a regular menu (stacked at the podium at the entrance) so we didn't have to order off the "to go" menu, we were told that "everything on the 'to go' menu is basically what's available." But then it took about 10 minutes to prepare 2 turkey wraps. Fortunately we had time to eat before we tee'd off. We would have been a little more impatient if we were making the turn. The conditions of the course were far below what we expected. We were able get off about 15 minutes early (at about 1:45pm) and we finished in about 4h 10m, so play was quick. But the fairways, greens and especially the tee boxes were in bad condition compared to other comparably priced courses in the area. If you're in the middle of the fairway, you shouldn't have to contend with bald patches or mixed grasses or weeds. Not cool. The layout was okay, except for a few holes that were kind of "um, which way are we supposed to hit?" The scenery is just so so, and a few holes in the back 9 were too close to houses/streets, which ruined the scenery. My buddy and I were somewhat disappointed, especially just after playing at Sand Hollow - fantastic scenery, impeccably well maintained tee boxes, fairways and greens and an easy to understand layout on every hole. If we come back this way, we probably won't be playing here again. read more

Beautiful, challenging course. Small greens, blind shots over desert terrain, some fun unique holes, lots of great views and wildlife. If you're rusty, expect to lose a lot of balls here. If you're a newbie, don't go here during the busy seasons or else the marshall will hound you all day (my wife can testify to that). The red rock and sand along with the lack of trees makes it feel like you're on another planet. It's like golf on Mars (and nearly as expensive). They have better rates in the heat of the summer, if you can handle 110°+. It's a good solid course, not the top in the area but it's up there. read more

I live in the Coral Canyon community and haven't played Coral Canyon for at least 10 years. When Vanguard acquired the course it went right in the tank which is evident by the reviews. I played it Monday 21 Jun 2021. The new owners obviously are doing all they can to return it to first class condition. Every employee was professional and helpful. A beverage cart made it's regular rounds, water available at selected holes and ice was available at the start of the round. The pond near the club house is the best I have ever seen it. All the washes have been completely removed of growth. The tee boxes are in excellent shape and the bunkers have all new playable sand. The greens still need some care. An evasive grass has attacked the greens and made smaller dead spots that made for bouncy putts. The assistant pro said they will be closing the course for a few months to address the problem. The restaurant now supplied with prepackaged foods and snacks that can be quickly grabbed at the turn or eat in after your round. Since I last played there they have made a drastic change in their golf cart GPS system. The carts are equipped with a GPS device around 5"x3" with only back, center and front green distances. There is an image of each hole but it's so small it's useless. In conclusion I gave it 4 stars. It would receive a strong 5 stars if not for the greens and the GPS. If you quit playing there I would highly recommend giving it another try. You'll be pleasantly surprised. read more

We made arrangements with the pro shop for a youth group to hit range balls from 7-8pm. Upon our arrival at 7:00pm we were greeted by a very unfriendly guest services associate named Wayne. He hollered that the range was closed! We stated that the hours they have listed are 7:00AM - 8:00PM and that we had also made prior arrangements. He mumbled something as we made our way to the pro shop where we were met by a very friendly guest service associate by the name of Davis. Davis told us to go ahead and head to the range as it was most certainly NOT closed. When we came out of the pro shop and were again met by Wayne, we said that the pro shop had our reservation and to go ahead and enjoy our time, to which he replied, "I really don't give %&$!." He continued to try an argue with me and was very rude. I determined it was best not to engage with him any further and we made our way to the range. I was taken aback by the very rude treatment from this employee. I'm assuming that he probably just wanted to go home and was not happy that we were there. It was very disappointing and completely unprofessional to be cursed at and argued with by a golf course employee, especially in front of the youth. I will say that Kash and Davis in the pro shop were both very helpful, professional and kind. We did enjoy our time in spite of our greeting. read more

This is absolutely the worst golf course in the area! This used to be the best course in the area. They have no sand in bunkers, no grass in the fairways, tee boxes have no grass. I cannot tell you what a great experience it is to go and play golf at this course. We have been going there for an annual tournament for almost 10 years. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time. I left my laser range finder there and they not only found it but, sent it to me by Fedex back in California. Played course just yesterday and what a mess. Played this course for years and used to be Avery nice course. But last 5 years it has to degraded to and very poor selection. I was always hoping it would somehow get back to the great condition it was but every time I go go with they try it more more time I can just kick myself. But I am done Yesterday was the worst shape. Tee boxes are bare, divots all over and not repaired or t moved to let it repair but guess u need grass for that to happen. Fairways were not in better shape. Most grass (?) is so short it's like hitting off the dirt and I guess it is since grass is missing all over. They have changed the cart program where u can no longer take cart to car to get clubs or returned. They have a person to do that, say it's new management. Restraraunt still very good as is pro shop There is one good point is they are trying to remove some waste areas and install some new bunkers on one hole so maybe they are thinking about improving course but with condition it is in I'd say that's 2-3 years out. Rumor is they own a course in salt lake and move good carts and money to that location, again rumor but by the looks I believe it. Point is I'd play one of the many other excellent courses in the area. Very close to sand hallow or my favorite sky mountain. read more

Very over priced for this run-down track. Obviously no investment since it opened - other than cutting the grass. Tee boxes eroded and rough, very poor bunker maintenance. Several wash outs and broken cart paths. Over growth every where. Ball washers falling apart in your hands. Old rags hanging from them. Restaurant has extremely limited variety and poor service. Patio furniture needs replacement. Greens were the only thing of good quality. Now caught in the death trap of high price - limited people golfing, less cash for maintenance, less people golfing, less cash etc, etc. Must invest Capital now or this place will be a municipal course within a few years. read more

I've heard a lot about this course. Maybe I had too high of expectations going into it, but the course was in terrible condition. It looked like an earthquake had just occurred. The cart paths were filthy. The bunkers were full of water, very rocky, and you couldn't even hit a ball out of them without damaging a club. The service was very sub par. I've golfed a lot of courses in the St. George area and this one has been the worst. I'd even recommend the city courses over this. Overall bad experience. read more
