Horrible golf course. Where do i start. When we got to the first tee, the starter told us that the golf course get's bad reviews. that is an understatement. The greens are the worst i have ever seen. they were spray painted, had weeds growing on the greens. if you are planning a golf trip to Falcon ridge AVOID this golf course. Also they did not provide water for golfers, they charged for water. when you are playing in the desert you would think that water is provided. I have played golf all around the world, please take my review for what it is worth. read more

Currently playing - 3:30 into the round. We on 13 tee. We have talked to the pro and marshal. They have done nothing. If you play somewhere else in Mesquite, I would. We asked the pro if this round is out of the ordinary and he replied, "not really". I'd play somewhere else. read more

We plan a golf trip every year this year Mesquite 3 rounds first course Falcon Ridge what a joke started at 1 with the Marshal telling us they get Bad Reviews and told us about the greens. Then we get behind beginner golfers And took us 5 and half hours complained to Marshals numerous times and NOTHING . Had to pay for extra water all the courses asked every 30 minutes if we need water and gave it to us. Then after the round at 615 the pro shop and clubhouse already closed. We flew in from Dallas and Denver and this is what we paid for totally UNACCEPTABLE. I do not recommend this place and the GM and owner can make excuses but all the other courses we played were Outstanding. read more

The food is very good and the wait staff all are attentive and friendly. Especially Mindy, I'm laughing the entire time she's waiting on me!! I love the other ladies as well! I'm always greeted with a smile and sometimes a hug! I love their Asian Chicken Salad and their hamburgers are fantastic! The dining room has a fantastic view and you have the option of sitting out on the patio. Can't say enough about how great Falcon Ridge is, go try it for yourself. Loved this place!!! The golf course was is excellent condition with a lot of scenic places. The golf carts are the kind you see at country clubs with the extra comfortable seats and GPS. We played from the gold tees which is like the white tees and made the par 5's reachable. The back 9 was definitely harder. If you play smart, you can have a great round, but it is really easy to screw up a hole. Afterwards, Scotty's restaurant is excellent. read more

Went for Mother's day, pretty darn tasty! Setting was beautiful overlooking the golf course.

Golf is a mental game and hard enough, we did not deserve to have the marshal constantly on our backs. It ruined the round and almost the weekend in Mesquite. The course marshal was rude and threatening to kick us out. Constantly harassed us, saying we can't play a 6-man scramble at dusk. We were stuck behind two 5 player groups, who had 1 cart for each player, and let another group through per the Marshal's direction. We tried to speak with management at the 9th hole and they told us "that's how he is." When our groups were stuck waiting on the same tee box, standing for the two 5-somes to clear the hole, the marshal complained we were playing as a 6 person group. We were not, but just waiting to tee off and told to go faster. When we asked about the people's pace of play in front of us, he said they were "on target." I emailed management at Falcon Ridge Golf Course and have not heard a response. read more

Perfect conditions and a wonderfully manicured golf course. It's expensive but worth it. Too many great holes to mention just one or two. Many places on the course where you just stop and gaze at the beauty of the course. One minor annoyance- loud gas golf carts with poor brakes. The attached gps screen a nice plus, but irritating interruptions by a loud noise announcing an opportunity to order at the grill. read more

Food is DISGUSTING!! We for the restaurant at this Golf course to be absolutely gross. The restaurant inside is actually called " Scotty's Bar and Grill".. There was no signage out front to state where to go, so look at my photos I put up if you want to go. We ordered the steak dip sandwich and fried. The meat didn't taste like meat, it tasted like a salt rock. I love lots of salt on my food but not and entire salt block. I couldn't eat it the disgusting thing so I told the waitress to throw it in the TRASH.. There were only 2 other tables occupied, so now we know why. I would of rather of gone to Jack-in-the-Box and got their cheap tacos because you know what they are. GO AT YOU'RE OWN RISK... read more

How can you close the restaurant and bar when you've got a 48 player tournament coming in? No bathrooms, no drinks, no food. If they'd let the bartender stay he would have made more in tips in that two hours than he made all day. read more

Years ago, Falcon Ridge Golf Course definitely earned 5 stars and I wholeheartedly recommended it to everyone. Unfortunately, after the way I was treated by the restaurant staff, I will no longer be recommending this location. The women working in the restaurant gossip about patrons and spoke behind my back, thinking I could not hear them. . It was unprofessional and completely disrespectful. The golf here may be great, but due to my experience with restaurant staff, I will no longer be recommending Falcon Ridge. I highly suggest Management re-train restaurant staff ASAP before they continue to lose additional business. read more

Excellent course in mesquite, definitely worth the drive from Vegas. Course was challenging and somewhat exhausting do to the constant wind that day! Multiple blind shots throughout, so definitely need to learn the course more. All around great course and the staff was very friendly. read more

This is my favorite Golf course to dine at in town. The service is outstanding and the food is delicious.

My wife and I played this course on Dec 11. The staff was great! Very friendly and helpful. The course is two courses. Front is an interesting, reasonably challenging layout with good scoring opportunities but also ample trouble for errant shots. Now for the back nine. I think the designers planned it during the company Christmas party. Up,(way up), down,(way down), around (where's the green?) Lots of water,sand and decisions to be made. Beautiful scenery and interesting play. Don't miss it if you get to Mesquite. read more

Beautiful Golf Course. Panoramic views of the mountains and mesas surrounding Mesquite. The restaurant is good too. Sits high over the golf course with amazing views. Some of the back canyon holes are breathtaking. Especially love sunsets at Scotties when the mountains are shadowed and the mesas turn brilliant orange from the sun. read more

My group of four traveled from California to Mesquite for 4 days. This course was the lesser of the four we played. It's a beautiful tract, scenic with lots of elevation changes, well placed traps and lots of water. Carry off the tee was very challenging on a number of holes. On the downside, too many blind shots for my taste. The greens were in bad shape, burnt and thin. The fairways had similar problems. Lots of holes cut up to fit into the housing tract surrounding the course. The practice warm up area is an embarrassment, just awful. I have a nicer set up in my backyard with a mat and a net. The pro shop was well equipped and friendly. The restaurant was great. Excellent food and pleasant service. On the whole, the course is very pretty with a few very well designed and challenging holes. The course seems very popular with locals and I wouldn't avoid it. It's worth playing once. But, the other courses we saw were superior. read more

We have been coming to Scotty's restaurant at the Falcon Ridge Golf Course for about the past 2 years. This has become our favorite breakfast place. Fantastic views, wonderful serving staff, very good food and the best coffee I. Town with real 1/2 & 1/2 creamers. Try the pancakes and you will never be happy with anybody else's cakes. They even war the syrup so even better! Check this place out! read more

Let me start by saying all the staff were great! They are what gets two stars here. For the record I played like crap at falcon ridge and it was blowing about 25mph with some crazy gusts. That is on me not them. My review is a reflection on the course layout, conditioning, and facilities. Let's start at the beginning the practice area, we pulled up and I see some wind sheared nylon netting blowing in the wind. That is the driving range and as the champion of our tourney said, "if you hit it just right it comes right back!" I spent about 55 seconds at the "range", putting area adequate outside of the terrible conditioning. Course layout, straight up silly. This was a nine hole course that added the back nine at a later date and it shows. Built through a largely empty housing development there is a lot of OB that makes no sense really but hey you own what you own I guess. Certainly the weather conditions and my inability to make good course management decisions that day made this more of a factor. The course conditioning was not good, thin fairways, bumpy greens, sand less sand traps...I hate to say it but dog track land. Bottom line there is much better golf in Mesquite. read more

Great experience. The Golf Course is a challenge but very fair. The staff was professional and accomodating. We had 7 foursomes in our group and the pace of play was great. The marshalls kept everything moving. The only real area of concern is the lack of driving range. Warm-up is into a net from mats. Not ideal but enough to get the muscles loose. The highlight was the bar staff of Scotty's Bar & Grill. They are fun and made us feel like we were family. Mandy, Christina, Sofia and Victoria are the best. read more

Falcon Ridge is one of the nicest courses I have ever played. I drove up from Las Vegas and the course was 2 minutes from exiting I-15. There is no traditional driving range, but you can warm up hitting balls into a cage (see photos). Tom was the starter and gave us some friendly advice on playing the more challenging holes. Lots of elevation changes that have spectacular views. The greens were in perfect condition. The tee boxes looked so pristine I almost felt bad walking on it. The cart lady came around several time during our round. I recommend this course to any serious golfer. read more

We paid $45 for twilight and then they made us stop after 9 holes. There was still a hour and a half of sunlight left. All of the staff was very nice and friendly except the lady in the pro shop! I think she wanted to go home early that night so she stopped people from playing. The course is fun with some challenging holes, but the greens were in awful shape. Slow and bumpy. I wish I would have gone to Conestoga just up the street. read more

Most of Ramon's comments are valid. No range, just nets, and a goofy, at times, layout. From the silver tees (men's middle tees basically) the course measures a short 6,000 yards approximately, yet hole #1 and hole #10 are both par 4's of around 450 yards, while most of the other par 4's are much shorter. But.. The staff were nice, and the course ranger worked very hard to keep pace of play moving fast enough for everyone to finish before the light gave out. The drinks cart was out there relentlessly, despite the cold conditions. In this hacker's opinion the course totally lacks cohesion, but most of the holes were fun taken individually, if that makes sense. When we played (early November, 2012, maybe a month after aeration), it was in great shape. It's not Wolf Creek, or Conestoga come to that, but if the price is right I'd play it again, as I would Oasis. Judging from the crowd the day we played, I'd say the locals get a very good deal here. read more

Beautiful and challenging course. The staff is phenomenal and the service was outstanding. The only knock I'd give is they don't have a full driving range, but real estate is a premium here, so I get it. Weighing this against the rest of the course I just couldn't downgrade to 4 Stars. Green fees on Saturday morning were $75, $45 with the Mesquite Golf pass. One round paid a third of the Gold Pass cost (discounted my guest as well). I travel to Vegas frequently for work and will have to work in a trip back to play again. Thanks for a great golf experience. read more

Decided to play here on a drive through Mesquite after playing Wolf Creek. Hands down this course and the staff are heads and shoulders above Wolf Creek. Justin in the pro shop handled a delay like a champion. Alondra in the lounge provides GREAT hospitality and I'd come back again just because of her. read more

First of all, don't believe the reviews that say this course is better than Wolf Creek. Those must be posted by "homers." It is not Wolf Creek, not close to Wolf Creek. But it is a fun course, good value. The back nine is where the fun begins and that is the nine that reminds people of Wolf Creek. I was paired with a couple locals the first time I played there and it helped as I would have been standing blind on a few tees. Number 10 is a beautiful, but ridiculous hole, "here, let me hit it straight down the middle and end up in the creek that runs straight down the center of the fairway." The driving range is all it's not cracked up to be in other reviews. read more

Very simple. This course is legit. 8 of us took a 3 day golf trip to Mesquite. We played Wolf Creek, Conestoga and Falcon Ridge. All of these courses are great tracks. However, in playing Falcon Ridge the 3rd round, I was worried that we would be disappointed. Needless to say, it didn't disappoint. A few of the guys said they liked it better than Wolf Creek! Just like the other courses, you will have a couple blind shots and holes where you are not sure how far to hit it off the tee. A driving range would be great, but is it really that big of a deal? You can still warm up and hit a few shots into the net. Overall, the staff and course were first class. We will definitely be back. read more
