It was a very painful experience, the technician Ann (who is also the salon owner) was extremely rough with my eyes and I had tears streaming down my face the entire time because she was scraping my lashes so roughly. As this was my first lash lift, I thought this may be normal practice so I just suffered through the appointment. The next day (my birthday) I woke up and my eyes were so swollen I could barely open them. I called the salon to ask the brand and specific product they had used on my eyes but they wouldn't tell me, nor did they offer any aftercare advice or a refund. I'm guessing whatever they used wasn't actually supposed to go near the eyes, or that she didn't properly clean the product off before the service was finished. This made me afraid to ever get a lash lift or tint again, but I ended up going last week to Ksthetics and it was an amazing experience. I felt no pain or discomfort during the appointment whatsoever, she was so gentle that I could barely even feel her working on my lashes. Furthermore, she properly cleansed my lashes afterwards and I experienced zero irritation and had no allergic reaction in the days following. This confirmed for me that Beautiful You salon does not use eye safe perm solution and does not properly wash off the product afterwards. Luckily I was able to get a last minute appointment. When I arrived, I was greeted by the lash tech. She was prepping the machine for my appointment. She explained the process to me, asked me what style I wanted, and she got started with the setup. The machine at Valley Fair can work on two eyes at once. I watched some videos before my appointment, but was still nervous. Honestly, it was super delicate and felt like tapping on my eyelids. I was under the machine for about 20 mins, and the lash tech stopped it and finished the work on her own - took another 30-40 mins. My appointment was at 3:45pm, and I was out the door by 5pm. One thing to note: there is no privacy. You are on display for all to see. I didn't have an issue with it, but I'm used to traditional eye lash extension salons where you're in a quite private room. All in all, I had a wonderful experience and will be back again for a fill. You have 24 days to get your fill. If you don't get it done before that 24th day, you will have to pay for a full set.
