I visited them for the first time recently. When I first came in, they gave me an iPad to sign a waiver, which clearly requires their staff to walk you through the procedure you're about to get, how it works, and what the risks are. However, they simply left me with the iPad and walked away. Another issue I had with the waiver is that they don't let you submit it, which would've locked everything in and prevented further editing. Further, I emphasized I didn't have experience with the service and wanted a consultation. However, the person servicing me did not offer to show me examples on one of the two services I scheduled for. She showed me the lash examples and said we'd wait to discuss the brows later. My assumption was that we'd take a break after the lashes are done and then presume to design the brows together. However, that was not the case exactly. While my eyes were forced shut for the lashes, she started to work on my brows. I wasn't given sufficient time to discuss what I wanted with my brows and was rushed into a design without any examples shown to me. She cut my brows for a clean look without consent, and I wish we'd had kept a more natural look. Lastly, a couple of minor things. They took my after photo without asking for consent explicitly. They also failed to offer me the welcome drink that they requested me to sign up for when scheduling the appointment. It's not a big deal, but when they offer it to the next walk-in customer after you, it didn't make me feel cared for. I spent almost $300 total. Not a satisfying first-time experience. I'm impressed with the new technology for eyelashes. It's completely different from eight years ago when I got lashes; what an improvement! This is a great place, and Ky did an excellent job. After she completed her work, my lashes looked amazing! And she was quick. The only reason I don't give five stars is that after about 24 hours, or when I woke up the next day, more than a dozen lashes had come off and were scattered on my face and pillow. When I gently washed and brushed, additional pieces came loose. I used the lash wash I purchased from the store to clean my lashes, and I always sleep on my side or back, never on my stomach. I don't apply any oils or moisturizers around my eyes, so I'm unsure why so many lashes fell out all at once after 24 hours, particularly from just one eye. The following day, the same event occurred again. Now I notice about eight lashes falling out each day. My eyelashes still appear nice, but you can see some small gaps in between. I'd like to know if this is normal, as I hadn't experienced it with the old eyelash technique. Anyone? read more

Josephine is great! My lash lift and tint was a smooth process, and she was patient as I had to wrap up a couple things on my laptop for work right before my appointment. Throughout the appt, she made me feel super comfortable and relaxed. The results were very subtle since my natural lashes are short and thin, and I was happy with how long the curl lasted (it's still curly now nearly 2 months later). I like that they provide you with a little list of do's and don'ts afterwards, but it would've been nice to also provide a disposable spoolie to help maintain them too. Overall, this studio is bright, clean, and calming, and the staff are very friendly and professional. These are all things I look for when it comes to any type of beauty treatment. I really wish I could leave a better review but I left my appointment disappointed. I will start out with the good qualities though: the store itself was clean and well-organized. I did not have any doubts about the cleanliness or hygiene of the establishment. Josephine was extremely nice and understanding and I had no problem with her at all. Overall, a good vibe from the employee and business. Unfortunately, the service I got done was not at the same level. I requested a lash lift and tint, I have gotten this service done at least 5 other times at different businesses. I decided to try LashBar out because of the reviews and decent price for a lash lift. I know what to expect when it comes to lash lifts and I know my lashes well enough to know despite them being straight and stubborn, they CAN be lifted. I requested the smallest rod so I can have the maximum curl. I'm not sure if it's from the perming solution that LashBar uses but I saw literally NO difference in the result. My lashes stayed basically the same as when I came in. I know for a fact that my lashes can have and hold a curl from lash lifts. Josephine seemed knowledgable enough and said she had some time left before her next appointment and offered to try the lift again but also warned that it could weaken my lashes. Because I did not want to risk more damage to my lashes I declined. I think Josephine saw the visible disappointment on my face when I saw the result and apologized and offered a discount. I did get 50% off but quite frankly I feel like I have been ripped off by paying anything because after two days the lift went away and it's supposed to last 6-8 weeks. I hate giving bad reviews but this felt like a total waste of money. TLDR; atmosphere was nice, establishment is clean and employee is polite but the lash lift is a total waste of money. :/ read more

I've received two lash lifts since this new LashBar opened and I'm soooo impressed with the service, quality, and speed of the service. My lash lift lasted about 6 weeks (!!!!!) - I no longer have to use a lighter on my eyelash curler everyday (sketch.. iykyk) The interior is beautiful (very clean bathroom and beds), and they offer delicious complimentary beverage and snacks since you will be there for a while . But Julianna was fast and had a delicate touch - very important to me because I wear contacts and my eyes are pretty sensitive.
