Incredible service! My husband booked me a 75 minute facial as my Christmas present. I suffer from TMJ and it's been worse lately. She offers customizable facials. Mine heavily focused on buccal, gua sha, and facial massage. I've never experienced so much relief from my TMJ! I'll absolutely be back on a regular basis :) read more

Mia is seriously the best and the sweetest! I've been coming to her for 3 years now (had to check my booking history can't believe it's been 3 years already!) and I started off with sugaring and now book her for my facials too. I've never been professionally waxed or sugared before Mia and I am so grateful I got to book her and have been loyal ever since. Her sugaring is so quick and yet so well done! I've had to lessen the amount of times I see her for sugaring since my hair growth has significantly reduced. I'm always nervous before my appointment but she has calmest and sweetest vibes that all my nerves go away when I step into her studio! I love her work so much I also became a facial client! Whenever I'm able to snag an appointment, I never let the opportunity pass me. She has done wonders for my skin when I need a good reset. I'm always conflicted on whether I should fall asleep and relax or stay awake to enjoy the entire facial! Any of her facials are amazing options but she recently added in Buccal treatment and this is absolutely amazing for anyone who has TMJ or is looking to release any tension in their jaw. Truly a healing experience. I absolutely adore Mia, she's the best at what she does!! read more

I have seen Mia for the last few years and she is truly a gifted healer! I genuinely look forward to being in her studio and enjoying her company every time I book an appointment with her. She makes my skin look incredible - I can't get a facial anywhere else! I have received many facials and none last as long as Mia's! I get them about every 3 months and I am not kidding when I say they last that long! Not only is Mia incredibly talented, she is the kindest and sweetest person you'll meet. You're going to be struggling with falling asleep because you're so relaxed in her studio and wanting to chat because she really is the best! Book an appointment with Mia and you will want be in her studio every week (if not every day)! read more

I've been going to Mia for a long time now, and she's truly my go-to for anything skin-related. She feels more like a friend than just an aesthetician - someone I genuinely trust and look forward to seeing every time. Whether it's sugaring or facials, she does an amazing job every time. I also love that I can buy my skincare products from her - she takes all the guesswork out and always recommends what actually works for my skin. Her studio is cozy, clean, and so calming, which makes every visit something I look forward to. Highly recommend Mia! read more

I've been coming to Mia now for so long and I look forward to my appointment every month! She is amazing at what she does and makes you feel so welcome. Not only that, but her studio is so warm and cozy, there is no place that can compare. After every appointment I feel like I am glowing and she never disappoints! read more

Mia is really really awesome! I've been regularly and she always makes you feel comfortable and the process as quick & easy as possible. My legs and underarms have never looked better. Thanks for always listening to my ramblings Mia your energy and light is sometimes the best part of my day! Please do yourself a favor and sign up for some self care with Mia she is truly the best of the best! read more

If you want to feel like you're in heaven while getting a facial, get on Mia's waitlist. Her facials are next level amazing. We spend part catching up and visiting like old friends, but the moment she starts doing lymphatic work, I'm out like a light. My skin has changed so much since I started seeing her and switching over to the line she recommends, Botnia. Gone are the days of overly exfoliating and I've actually started my own mini apothecary with all of the products she has in her studio. My skin always leaves glowing and happy. Mia is a wealth of knowledge and is always willing to answer questions. Additionally, her Instagram page is filled with all sorts of information about skin health as well as tips and tricks. Also as a bonus, if you're a fellow book nerd, she gives the best recommendations! read more

Update: we are 3 years into our long term relationship as Esthie and client, and I'm still obsessed. It just gets better, y'all She is not taking new clients, but when she does, it has to be a good fit. She values the energy you bring into the studio and I love that about her. read more

All I can say is wow! I did the newly offered buccal facial and when I say WOW I mean it! I wish we took a before and after. Mia always makes you feel at home. Can't wait for my next appointment. read more

Brazilian Sugar Wax - Mia was amazing. She was very welcoming and made me feel instantly comfortable. The last "sugarista" I saw, felt like a hot wax, it was painful and not what I was expecting. Mia was exactly as I expected! It didn't hurt with the exception of the sensitive areas, which is unavoidable. She was quick and professional. I will only be seeing her from now on! read more

Oh my gosh! Where do I start! First of all, the best sugaring I've ever had and such a warm, inviting place and experience! Mia, the owner and esthetician is one of the sweetest people I know! She is so kind, accommodating, friendly and caring. She tries to get to know you and helps keep you calm. She also even helps you with your breathing, especially for sugaring like Brazilian. I always go to her and I love how zen her studio is and I always have a painless experience. I have gone to Mia for underarms and Brazilian sugaring and she does an amazing job each and every time! Quick, painless and smoother skin than when I came in! Amazing! She not only specializes in sugaring but she also does facials too! Can't wait to go to her for facials too! :) She is very knowledgeable about skin health and overall health and she gives good recommendations for skincare products and even has some right in her studio! Not only is her sugaring smooth but the overall process is so smooth. You simply book on her lovely website and you check out easily on her cute, rose gold iPad once your appointment is finished! So nice because I don't have to add my card or whip out my card (she asks if she can use the one on file). Just add your tip, sign and you're all set! Mia is such a kind, warm person and she is so on top of things! Very communicative, kind, accommodating, caring and a true professional! I never come home with any irritation on my skin which is great! She uses the best products! She actually uses the natural, skin-smoothing true sugaring products from my previous sugaring place, True Sugaring in Walnut Creek! Mia really creates a relaxing ambience with her music, her speaking with you, guiding you through the process, and her warm studio. Some sugaring and wax studios tend to be cold in my experience but her studio has the optimal temperature. Also, fellas don't be shy...Mia has services for men too! Can't wait to see Mia again! You need to go to Mia! The best! :) read more

2 years after this review and I'm still seeing Mia! Even if it has been awhile since I have received her services, coming back always feels like a breath of fresh air. Sugaring never leaves me itchy or with bumps which is one of my favorite things about it. I will always recommend Mia and look forward to coming to her warm space every time. read more

I've been seeing Mia for a while now and my skin has never been this good! I started seeing her for skin care products and waiting until I had an opportunity to book for sugaring then facials. She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her work, not to mention she's also so kind. As a small business owner myself in the beauty industry I look up to her, she's truly inspiring. I know that when I go see her she's 100% there. I love that she doesn't over book her schedule. She's booked and busy as she should because she's amazing! If she opens her books for new clients I highly recommend you add yourself to her waitlist. The wait is totally worth it, you have to be patient. read more

If you are a new client, do yourself a favor and put yourself on the waitlist or check religiously for openings because Mia is 1000% worth it! Mia walked me through the entire sugaring process and answered any questions/soothed any concerns I had. She even took the time to give me a mini-consultation to recommend the best Botnia product for my skin. Extremely happy with my service and can't wait to return. ^ This was my review on Vagaro when I first saw Mia - I've now religiously seen her every 5-7 weeks since then and can say that she is still 1000% worth the wait. I look forward to seeing her again in about 2 weeks because I know we'll have the best conversations during my appointment. read more

My first Brazilian with Mia went amazing!! I found everything about sugaring really appealing when I did my research--and as someone whose prone to skin sensitivity--I love that sugaring is completely organic and natural. First off, Mia's studio is well-kept and provides for a relaxing atmosphere. I love the cute decor! There's also ample parking in front of her studio. As for the experience, the process itself took about 20 minutes or so and the pain was a lot LESS painful than I had anticipated. Mia was great at applying pressure and talking me through breathing techniques. As to be expected, getting a Brazilian is a vulnerable and intimate experience so having a skilled and personable esthetician makes all the difference. Mia was very kind and answered all of my questions! I don't think I'll consider anything else but sugaring moving forward :D read more

Waxing and facials can get very personal so finding someone you're comfortable with can be hard. Mia is very friendly, calm, and has a warm personality. I like working with someone who is willing to teach me how to care for my skin vs just telling me what's wrong. All of her products are organic and even edible!! but we didn't do a taste test :) She's getting busy so make sure you check her calendar and look to book 2-3 weeks out if you have a preferred time slot. read more

Mia is the sweetest person ever! I started getting sugaring and facials done with her on January 2023 and I've never looked back. She is so welcoming and makes you feel extremely comfortable during her services! She is always on time and very professional! read more

So I've been a little skeptical about sugaring just because waxing is not my thing lol. Not to mention the horrible stories I hear from my friends. Mia made my first time sugaring experience so easy and relieving. She was super nice and friendly. She also pretty much talked to me the entire time, which made me relax a little more and feel at ease. I get really nervous about my first time experiencing things. Anyway, it didn't really hurt that much. For me at least. Everyone has a different pain tolerance. The way I could describe my experience, it felt like putting tape on your hair and pulling lol. Which isn't so bad. That's just my opinion like I said. Thank you again Mia for making my first time sugaring experience amazing! I will definitely see you in a month! Maybe I'll squeeze in a facial, since I've been hearing your facials are amazing too! =) I will definitely be recommending friends to you! read more

Mia is wonderful! Last week, she gave me an hour facial treatment which was so good ... After a week, my skin is looking great and really better! From the natural products (Osea Malibu) that smell so good, to the cute little studio, and the care she gives to any step of the facial, this hour was magical, and SO relaxing. I only recommend Mia and will visit soon again! Merci Mia! read more

Mia has been my esthetician for the last 3 years, and I am so happy she has her own studio now! She keeps my eyebrows looking great, and I also get sugaring services which are so much better than wax for your skin (for me, it's so much gentler on my skin). I also get acne facials with high frequency and it's been very helpful in keeping my hormonal acne at bay. Usually nothing prevents it. Mia really cares about what goes on your skin--she is beautiful inside and out, uses a great product line (Osea), and uses modern and holistic techniques to make you beautiful and pampered from inside and out! read more

Mia was great! She gave me perfect eyebrows ! And made the waxing part as painless as possible. Love that the studio is now so much closer to my home. read more

I've been seeing Mia for a couple years now, but it feels like decades! I absolutely cannot live without her. Not only is her craft top of the line, but her space is one of tranquility, cleanliness, and safety. Before Mia I hadn't done a lot of things; had a Brazilian, sugared my eye brows (or anything for that matter), received a facial! With sugaring, my hair has grown back lighter and less and my skin's texture has improved. My acne and redness has improved through her facials, skincare products, and guidance. She really takes the time and effort to understand your skin and situation to help improve it in the most holistic and healthy way possible. Not only is she a master of her craft, but she's just an EXTREMELY good person. Easy to talk to, easy to laugh with, and easy to befriend. I plan on being a client of Mia's for a long, long time. read more

I've been going to Mia for years now mostly for sugaring and the occasional facial too. She's so warm and friendly but also very professional and takes her craft seriously. I always feel relaxed and refreshed after I leave and can't wait for my next appointment! Thank you Mia for all the work you do to keep your studio a safe and welcome space! read more

I love Mia and her skin care studio! I've gotten facials, sugaring, and jelly masks (my favorite!!!). Her facials are so relaxing too and the products smell amazing (like what you would expect a spa to smell like) Not only that but she uses organic, natural products which can be hard to find an esti that does. I feel so relaxed and welcome every time I come into the studio. Mia is sweet, thoughtful, and has the most relaxing voice which just adds to the atmosphere. Her studio is so cute - I love it! Her and the experience she gives are so worth the wait! Thank you, Mia read more

OMG! If you're looking for the best facials EVER!!! Mia is THEEE ONE! I've been seeing Mia for over 8 years now! My skin used to be really unpredictable and I had a lot of hormonal breakouts. I have a pretty good regimen with Mia and see her on a monthly basis or 4-6 weeks depending on Mia's recommendation, but my skin is super clear for years now! Mia takes care of me and my ENTIRE family and in laws I literally recommend her to EVERYONE if they are lucky enough to book a spot with her. I initially came for the sugaring services and fell in love with EVERYTHING she does! Seeing Mia is like seeing one of your close childhood friends but sometimes you either fall asleep because it's so relaxing or time flies by so quick because it's so nice to see her! YOU ARE THE BOMB MIA!!! read more

Let's just say she is MI-AMAAAAAAAZING! I was totally nervous as a first timer to using the sugar method. Mia made me feel comfortable and explained how it worked + talked her way through it. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be + on top of it all, it was so fast! She's super personable + her contagious smile makes you feel at ease! Thank you again Mia for making me want to come back!! read more

I wish I could give 100 stars! This review is way overdue, because I've been going to Mia since 2014 or 2015 (before she opened her own studio!) She truly is the BEST OUT THERE! Mia is so knowledgable about everything that she does and you can sense her passion for it all...sugaring, facials, relaxing aesthetic. The moment you walk into her studio, you are greeted with the warmest and kindest smile + energy. She makes you feel so safe (her COVID protocols are above and beyond!) Ever since I met Mia, I have stuck to sugaring! It's seriously life changing. Less ingrowns, smoother skin, less hair growth. I can go on and on, but bottom line is that Mia is amazing and you should go to her :) read more

I don't think I have better words to describe Colette Sugar Studio than amazing! I have had sugaring services done by Mia and she is so welcoming and relaxing. Not only does she make you comfortable, but educates individuals on sugaring and the processes. She is so sweet, mellow & a kind welcoming soul. Thank you so much Mia! read more

To start off, sugaring is now a part of my life because of this experience. I had been shaving for a very long time so I was searching for an alternative and stumbled across sugaring. Mia is AMAZING, she talked me the process of sugaring and how the hair removal process would work. Mia made me feel very comfortable by talking to me through my sugaring, she even did a little technique on me for my underarms because I was so nervous! The results could not have been better, I will definitely have Mia as my permanent esthetician now! read more

I've been going to Mia for over a year now and was thrilled when she told me she was opening her own place! After trying over 25 different estheticians in the Peninsula/SouthBay, I found Mia and my search was done! I go to Mia every 2 weeks for my eyebrows, and each visit she takes her time to make sure they are perfect. She makes sure they are even, trimmed, and shaped naturally. I've loved my facials, as well as the products she's recommended me, so I really can't give her enough credit. The studio is perfection - minimalist with a touch of flair! It's clean, thoughtfully decorated, and most importantly very comfortable. I highly recommend anyone looking for amazing eyebrows, sugaring, or facials. She's absolutely the best! read more

Loved my sugaring experience. I felt comfortable, it was sanitary, private and not as painful as I thought. I already booked my next 2 services. Book ahead or you will regret it! THANKS MIA! read more

Absolutely loved it! Mia is great and takes her time to go thru the service. The place is nice and tidy. I think I finally found my go to wax spot in the Bay Area! :) read more

Mia is the BEST! I've been going to Mia for my sugaring needs for the past year or so. She's incredibly knowledgable, professional, and friendly. Colette Sugar Studio is a beautiful space that Mia has thoughtfully designed and I always look forward to my appointments with her. Mia's facials are amazing too. She uses a clean beauty skincare line called OSEA that smells amazing and is gentle but effective. Overall, Mia genuinely cares about creating a warm and welcoming space for her clients that I'd definitely recommend checking out! :) read more

I've been seeing Mia for about 4+ years now, and I can't imagine seeing anyone else for my sugaring and facial needs. When I started to see Mia, I had never had any waxing or sugaring done, and I was a little nervous. Mia exudes so much warmth that I immediately felt comfortable with her, and her new space is a reflection of that warmth that I know and love. Mia takes pride in her work, in her relationships with her clients, and in how she is as a person so I always know that I am receiving the best service possible from her. I can't recommend Mia enough. I would follow her to any spa, but I'm incredibly proud of her for opening up her own! read more

Ok, so sugaring has always interested me, but I was veeerrrrryyyy skeptical. I have gotten my underarms waxed for over 3 years now and have been pretty pleased with my results except for the fact that I still had quite a bit of hair growing back and I had hear sugaring helps with that. So I finally gave it a try and I am hooked! After my first session with Mia my underarm hair grew back substantially less than before and the hair growth was much softer and finer in texture. This magical service has made me a believer! On top of that, Mia is great! She's always super sweet, has great energy, and is very knowledgeable and informative about all of the services she provides. I can't wait to get a facial next! read more

Much better than waxing. Colette is so gentle and personable. She made me feel comfortable the entire time. I'll be sure to go back again when I get the chance. I would recommend her to anyone willing to try sugaring. read more

This is a long overdue! The only thing I'd ever had waxed are my eyebrows and had never been sugared. My best friend had been going to Mia for awhile so I finally decided to try out my first Brazilian through sugaring with Mia (back when she was at her last location) since it was suppose to hurt less. I was so nervous and kind of uncomfortable since I'd never done it before. Mia made me feel comfortable right away, it did not hurt, and I've been going to her for Brazilian and eyebrows ever since. Speaking of eyebrows, I have a weird growth pattern and it's hard to find someone who can make them look good without taking too much off. Mia knew exactly what to do with them and I never even had to tell her. When she moved to her own studio she was so sweet saying she understood if I didn't want to travel to her (her last place was in walking distance) but I'd NEVER go anywhere else but wherever Mia is. Her studio is so cute, private, and in an awesome shopping center so you can grab lunch or coffee after. Come to Mia and you won't regret it! read more

This review is based on Mia's waxing services - Mia has provided me her expertise for over 3 years and it's a fact that she is a pro at giving sugar waxes especially her brazilians. On top of being skilled, she is a very nice person which makes me comfortable throughout my entire experience. read more

Mia is amazing!! I just love her as a person and as an esthetician! I came to her with messed up eyebrows not able to trust anyone in being able to get my eyebrows back to how I wanted them to look! Mia saved them! she was so understanding and worked with me to get my eyebrows back to a natural look!! I will follow her wherever she goes! go to her with anything and she will help make your skin, face, eyebrows just everything in general amazing!!! read more

I've been getting sugared for at least a few years. I discovered it first in Southern California. I'm glad I was introduced to Mia. She makes the experience as painless as possible, checks in, applies the correct pressure, recommends a breathing technique, and has great conversation while performing the service, which is helpful, and makes the service go by quickly! Thank you, Mia for the sweet service you provide! read more
