Since leaving the workforce over ten years ago, I imagined waking up, rolling out of bed, not doing my make-up (although I minimally used eye and lip cosmetics due to the nature of my job), and looking decent. However, about seven years ago, I decided to try microblading my thinning and shortening eyebrows, and my husband lovingly teased me about having Rottweiler eyebrows. The painless semi-permanent microbladed eyebrows usually lasted two to three years, with proper annual to no maintenance. I was set for a maintenance appointment when I suddenly discovered that my usual artist had retired. I was left in a lurch because I planned to get the maintenance done before traveling domestically and abroad from late last year. I contacted Beauty Babe to inquire about her microblading and ombré powder tattooing services, appointment availability, and cost. Michele's friendliness and reassurance for assistance came through her voice. She also described the difference between microblading and ombré powder eyebrows, and I quickly agreed to book an appointment to see for myself. On the appointment day, Michele sent me a message regarding directions, parking lot availability, and security in her salon. I didn't take any interior photos for privacy because there were other clients and artists, even though the salon had privacy partitions and separate rooms for tattooing. After measuring my eyebrows, Michele applied makeup to my faded eyebrows to show me the difference between the microblading and ombré powder techniques. My only concern was having my eyebrows look natural and not dramatic. She did a few tweaks, which enhanced the shape, applied the topical anesthetic, and then did her magic. Within a couple of hours, I emerged from the salon with perfect and natural-looking eyebrows or, as they say, "eyebrows on fleek." She gave me an After Care package with instructions, mild liquid soap, tissues, a small tube of Vitamin A&D ointment, and yummy Ferrero Rocher candies.
