I've had many lash lifts over the years and my lashes must be difficult bc I've always had mixed outcomes. Imagine my delight to have my appointment with Malia. She took the time to ask questions and listen to my previous issues. She was very meticulous and conscientious with my lift, super skilled professional. Her lash lift is the best one I've ever had - the curl is dramatic, evenly spaced out, not a single errant lash. I am beyond thrilled with the outcome. She mentioned several times that if they fall too quickly that I could come back but I've had enough lifts to know that this one is gonna be good and hold. I can see why she has such great reviews - her skill is off the charts! My brows also look nice and clean. I made my 6 week appt with her again right away on vagaro. The location is super convenient with entrance at the front of SALT from Ala Moana blvd. Take elevators to second floor. The space is loft like very airy with breezy curtains. I'll try to remember to bring cash for tip next time or you can Venmo it. They did allow me to tip on my card but signs suggested that they prefer it the other ways.

Despite only meeting her today, the entire experience was comfortable and welcoming, talking to her was like catching up with an old friend. I've had my lashes done in other states and this was the first time someone actually sat down with me and discussed with me what I wanted and what look I was going for. Normally they'll just go in and do what they think will suit my face. Tina was able to show me pictures and was very accommodating in spite of my lack of preparation (as I had no idea what exactly I wanted - since no one had sat down and really discussed it with me before). She was extremely patient and meticulous throughout the entire process and often complimented my natural eyelashes, which are apparently very long and I have a lot of them (I had no idea so that was nice to hear, haha). I'm so excited about having them done again and I'm really glad I came across Lash Up Studio Hawaii on Groupon. I'm definitely going to refer her to everyone I know who've been considering getting theirs done.

The lash set I requested was nothing elaborate--just a natural, fuller lash extension--and I expected the appointment to take around 1-1.5 hours. Instead, the service took over 3 hours. What concerned me most was that I was never informed that the appointment was taking significantly longer than expected or that something may have gone wrong with the application. I also was never asked if I needed a break, needed to use the restroom, or was comfortable continuing for that extended amount of time. I completely understand that services can sometimes take longer than anticipated, especially if there are unexpected issues. However, I believe the customer should be kept informed when there is a significant delay. A simple explanation or check-in would have made a big difference. Overall, the lack of communication and the unexpectedly long appointment made the experience frustrating and uncomfortable. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, because better communication with clients would greatly improve the experience.

I understand because she said that in the beginning and told her that my other half was just dropping me off. That's strike 1. She didn't even greet herself but instead told me to follow her upstairs. I pointed at a picture I wanted in her IG posts of a client she did and wanted my eyebrows like hers. She said okay and started, while doing my eyelashes she would continuously position my head in an angry way instead of asking nicely. Strike 2. She would even make the "ugh" noises. It's not like I fell asleep or anything and she could use her voice to communicate nicely which I see she lacks in. She's not from Hawaii but somewhere in the mainland. Last, when i was done...my lashes looked no where near the picture I showed her. The picture of that client I pointed to, her lashes were more full. Where mines, was NOT. I told her that it doesn't look like the picture. She then proceeds to tell me that the client in the picture had stacked lashes on top. Like wtf!? You couldn't tell me that in the very beginning thinking I would want the same thing pointing to it? As for my first time doing my lashes, I was very disappointed. Never going back.

Awesome aura! I've been going to Eni for years (since her Smith Street beginnings) and she's really the only one I will go to (after having experienced other lash bars / salons). I trust her with my lashes and I know she doesn't skimp on quality or precision placement. To give you an idea of how long Eni has been crafting her skills - she was perhaps one of the premier estheticians to offer lash extensions and perfected placement and precision. She has the experience and skills that many of these places don't offer. Private and one-on-one service is what you will get when you see Eni.
