Don't go to this business if you don't have a appointment or don't carry cash because they will not acknowledge you. Even if you sign your name on the paper, I watched five people get sat down in front of me before I was even spoken to and only because I had to get up and question them about my placement on the list. their customer service is really poor and their quality of service is even worse. I would say that this place is an "okay" last resort if NOTHING else is available but at this point they're not even worth that. read more

Eyebrow threading can be very intimidating; especially when you exclusively only had your eyebrows waxed for many years. My mother and I both decided to make the switch; and needless to say, we are glad we did. We have tried many locations of this threading company and this is hands down our favorite location (also the farthest, but worth the commute.) Kuldeep is fabulous and truly cares about the integrity of her work; and the especially the desired shape of your brows. She always remembers her clients and keeps track of which hairs she is trying to preserve in order to get the exact shape you want. My mom and I also have eyelash extensions and were fearful of keeping the skin taught during the procedure, but Kuldeep adjusted the way we hold our skin in order to keep our lashes safe as well! I am extremely mad. I told Priti that I only needed my eyebrows to be cleaned up a little bit but she made my eyebrows thinner than they already were. I did not ask for a new eyebrow shape either! My eyebrows are only slightly arched but now they are much more arched! She did not change or remove her gloves after touching other areas like the keyboard and cash before touching my face. I've been coming to this location for over a year! And I tell you KULDEEP always leaves my eyebrows on point. When I first started coming here I had a horrible shape and over the years she has been the only person I allow touch my eyebrows. She takes her time. She will let you know at first what steps you need in order to get your eyebrows where they need to be. Excellent service she takes her time I have never felt rushed while I'm in her chair. Very unhappy!!! We have been here before with great service. But today we made an appointment online and arrived before our appointment time. We were told to wait outside because she was in service which is understandable because it was just her working. While we wait over 20 mins outs and now our appointment time has passed. Me daughter goes in for her appointment and get turned away because she is now "late" for her appointment and she said they are closing at 7, which online says they close at 8. We drive over 20 mins to get here because my daughter loves how they do her brows but now really debating if we will be returning. read more

Very disappointed with my experience with Mandy. I have been going to Beauty by Thread for many years (both the Rancho Cordova and Folsom locations) particularly to see Kuldeep or Smarika, both of which do a fantastic job with my eyebrows. Unfortunately, I chose to see Mandy since Kuldeep and Smarika aren't working at their locations anymore. I typically don't write reviews like this but I am truly very upset with my eyebrows after my latest appointment and felt compelled to share my experience. First, Mandy managed to tell me that my eyebrows were uneven and not looking right (this is the second time she's said this to me). I don't touch my own eyebrows ever and always get them done here so this comment feels unnecessary and is confusing. Her threading is also very painful. I am used to quick threading, not a slow yank on my eyebrow hair which as a result causes irritation and redness. Both times I have seen her I have left with cuts, a little blood and redness around on my eyebrows. This never happens when I see anyone else. Also, I specifically asked her to not make my eyebrows any thinner and just do a cleanup of the existing shape. She still manages to take an extra line of hair off and make them thinner. This is exactly what I was afraid of. And a day later I still have raised red bumps and two scabs near my eyebrows that are embarrassing to look at. I'm considering not visiting beauty by thread altogether since I can't find someone there that I feel comfortable going to anymore. Not happy with my experience at all. I don't recommend Mandy. read more

I have been coming to Beauty by Thread at Folsom for almost a year for threading. I truly appreciate the work the staff members do. So far, I have only had Mandy do my eye brows or face and she is amazing. She is patient and listens to the concerns that I have and suggests steps that would be in my favor. Her skills set is superb and I love how she takes the time to thread. In the recent times, due to Covid, once Beauty by Thread reopened, I have visited it once or twice and and I must say they have really gone above and beyond ti ensure the safety of not only their customers but also their employees. I appreciate the online appointment system and how it informs customers of what to expect and what things to do before arriving at the salon. They do a good job on your brows, but make sure to show up 5 minutes before your appointment because they often times will cater to walk-ins and will have you waiting 15 minutes for your turn, but if you show up 5 minutes late they will tell you to return much much later. read more
