I am disappointed by the continued unprofessional response I received after expressing my concerns about my experience on yelp. I had explained that, during the interaction, I made a brief facial expression, crinkling my nose, before sharing what I was hoping for. I provided a photo to illustrate the expression that appeared to cause the owner to break. Additional: I've attached a snapshot of the owner's responses to negative reviews. She is speculating that additional reviews are coming from friends or close associates to other people that have received poor experiences. Personally, I don't believe that's the case. I think when a business delivers a disappointing experience, especially in an industry that should be focused on uplifting others, it's only natural for that to be reflected in the genuine feedback they receive. Ultimately, the results speak for themselves

10 STARS! These amazing ladies saved my wedding day! My hair stylist ghosted me at the last minute. Becky and Jeanette saved he day. Becky did a wonderful job on my hair and Jeanette did a great job on my make-up. I received compliments all night long. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

My $511 dollar hair lol

Still paid $511 to hear rude comments and still leave with dye in my hair running down my clothes because these people are so rude. I paid to be able to leave. Made rude comments in the back the whole 4 hour service. Talking rudely about me and my hair. Stay far away from these people. This was my pick my up after my mom died and it was horrific. I'll never return to another salon. Worst experience I ended up crying my eye out while my whole family waiting in the car. Wish I could leave 0 zero stars.

These are the pics Rosamariahair_ took of my hair before she touched it...

Words CANNOT describe how terrible of an experience I had. With owner and stylist. First, my husband surprised me w a $300 gift certificate (for both gel manicure and hair service) and I was soooo happy because I really don't take the time to self care, w my busy mom/hospital schedule. He had told me he spoke w the owner and she would assign the "best hairstylist" that she had employed at her salon. *when I arrived I did notice ppl reading/signing waivers and was perplexed because I had never seen that before... 1. Nails, came out good... no complaints... standard service, nothing special. Samantha was great to converse with. 2. Hair, was done by Chris. I had informed him I wanted a balayage and showed him pictures of my hair of how I had it before and also a Pinterest picture and asked for ashy blonde. Unfortunately he was not able to execute a balayage, not even the slightest. When I had informed him I was not happy w the service, he was very professional about it and said he could fix it w 6 foils, next Wednesday, however then remembered he had Tennis practice, and could not miss his practice and asked to meet the next day on Thursday. I said sure. Tennis practice, must be expensive. Either way Thursday came around and I had called 5hrs before and informed the receptionist that I could not make it due to daycare issues, she said it was fine that I was not even on the schedule and she was not informed that I was coming back for corrections. I was then called, 9 mins before my scheduled/canceled appointment and was asked where I was that the stylist was waiting. I again explained the situation and receptionist said she would have the owner call me to discuss the issues, because I told Marissa, I would not be paying additional if Chris would be fixing my hair and told me he would not be charging me. Marissa said Owner, Arlica, was currently on Maternity Leave and did not know when she would respond to the issue. I received a call around 7-8pm, same day, from Arlica. I congratulated her on her delivery... just to be pleasant and to ease the tension. HOWEVER, this woman was disgusting and gaslit to the MAX. I could not get one word in... and she had the AUDACITY to say that I should be grateful that my husband spent money on me... I lost it. As professional as I could be as a costumer, I told her the money came out of both of our accounts and that It's her fault that her "BEST" stylist UNDERCHARGED me and gave me partial lights. (I paid $360 including tip). This conversation was for approx 15mins of Arlica just being an arrogant narcissistic fool blaming me (the customer) for not knowing what I wanted. Even though her stylist corrected my enunciation of bayalage before I sat in the styling seat. I politely excused myself from the conversation and just ended the call. I get a call maybe 15mins later, from Chris (hairstylist), kept it short and simple, asked if I could come in Thursday 6pm. No additional charge, 6 foils. And probably the worst choice I made. I got two text messages from Arlica asking me to confirm/"secure" the appointment. When I finally responded (next day) She berated me again for 15mins, claiming I just wanted "FREE HAIR" because I refused to want to pay additional fees. She then THREATENED to sit through my whole hair session w Chris, just to supervise. Also, she couldn't confirm if he gave me root smudge (didn't) and I had also informed her that I did not sign a waiver (trying to be nice). When I went for second session w Chris, it was civil professional. An hour into session I was met w Marisa (store manager) who gave me waiver to sign. I still tipped Chris, because he took the time, however he just lifted my roots and gave me brassy hair... I wanted to cry but I just wanted to be done w the experience... For two weeks I wore my hair up, there was no pattern, no consistency w my hair. I felt like Ms. Frizz from Magic School Bus... but just uglier. I contacted my previous/original stylist, that my husband should have contacted in the first place, @Rosamariahair_ (Le Hair) and see if she could fix my hair. WITHOUT hesitation, she gave me next day appointment, after her shift was over. ROSA DID MAGIC. She EXECUTED and just made me feel BEAUTIFUL AGAIN. Rosa could have named any price and without hesitation I would have paid her... this woman literally made me feel HUMAN again. Save your money, save your dignity, and sanity, DO NOT GO to BEAUTY BAR. Now I'm expecting Arlica to respond to this, as she does to all the other posts... but this woman needs to humble herself and just listen to her customers.

I am the bride here and she not only got the blonde i wanted but also matched the extensions to a tee! A perfect match!

Arlica is amazing! I would not trust anyone else with my hair. Blonde and the type of blonde I want is hard to achieve but she does it every single time. If you're looking for beautiful blonde locks go to her! I get so many compliments on my hair. I know some comments talk about Arlica and her way she addressed people, I have no issue with her, I actually appreciate how upfront she is. She knows what her limits are and knows what her teams limits are. She wants nothing but the best for you as a customer and sometimes it doesn't come off right but she really does mean well. She truly cares about her customer!

Silver Money piece to help my transition from black hair color to silver.

The ladies at Beauty Bar are amazing. Service is friendly and Arlica really listened to me and what I wanted. I literally recommend Beauty Bar to anyone I know.

I'm just absolutely in love with my hair today. Arlica and her team are nothing short of talented, accommodating and absolute sweethearts. I've come here everytime I needed my hair done for a special occasion and they never fail to impress me.

DISAPPOINTED : I messaged Arcila through IG to set an appointment few months ago. I was super excited and looking forward to get my hair done by her. Two days ago I messaged her to get a confirmation but unfortunately she stated that I wasn't in the system nor they have my information . I was very upset because I live up north and I was growing my hair out to get it done before my cousins wedding. Seems like she didn't care at all. I wish she could've been more understanding..

AFTER -- a few days later still looking great!

Arlica is a hair goddess. Seriously, she puts in the time and hard work it takes to get you to your hair goal. I've been told by so many hair stylists that I cannot achieve blonde hair due to the history on my hair (years of box dye from black to reds to browns) and that because my hair is so thick, it'll take a minimum of 6-7 seperate sessions over the course of half a year, and even then I wouldn't achieve my goal. Sound familiar to anyone? I was always saddened and discouraged to be told that, but kept wishing and thinking about being blonde. So I looked up salons near my area and found Beauty Bar. I did a lot of research, looking at photos of her work on Facebook and Instagram. Turns out, she's a blonding specialist! So I booked a free consultation for a few days later. I showed her photos, she asked specific details of what I like/dislike in each photo, what shades I'm aiming for, she got IN DEPTH. She said it's doable. She explained the process and so we booked a date. The day of my appointment, she was very welcoming and started with thinning my very thick hair. Usually when stylists thin my hair, I end up with choppy horizontal layers that lay really weird and give me sort of a "triangle head" look. When I told her that, she explained how she thins hair vertically so as to not do that. It looked and felt beautiful after she removed the bulk! Since I have long and thick hair, the bleaching process did take quite a bit of time. I was there for basically the whole day (not surprising), and by the end of it, I didn't even recognize myself. My hair is still in great condition. It's not dead, and it didn't "fall off" like other stylists warned me would happen. I think a lot of amateur and inexperienced stylists might be intimidated by a lengthy blonding session, or maybe just don't want to put in that much work/commitment and that's why so many tell girls "you can't be a blonde". But Arlica made it happen! Thanks girly!

I was invited by a friend to like this salons page. After awhile I asked her, who did her hair I was needing a cut. Last 2 years I had 2 bad cuts and in between let it grow at least 5 months. So She tells me, "let her know I sent you". I made an appointment and the day before she had to move my appointment due to her being pregnant and her levels were low. So we made for following week. So I arrive and someone is paying as she takes a call and tell them she needs to cancel and reschedule. So now I'm in chair, and she checking scalp and color. Making comments my hair color is to warm, what do you use I tell her, she said that's cheap dye. I said really, because before this I used Rusk and it wouldn't dye my grays very well. I then said m,this was the first time using the dye and the coverage was very good (Pravana),who smokes your hair smells like smoke, with a condescending tone. She goes to wash my hair and said it felt slimy, probably from the smoke. I said it could be the gel and oil I put in my hair. I have curly hair. She said no. She doesn't know what products I use but she's assuming she knows everything, but it was first time meeting her. So I told her I wanted it layered and she cuts length starts to look at my layers, she explained in back I'm missing some hair like a gap. (I did have a bad haircut in May 2020) so she's trying to blend top layers without trimming top layers. So I asked, are you going to cut top. She said I'm having trouble blending what you do have. So she said maybe that's why you are getting bad haircuts, can you hear yourself. My vision isn't understanding your vision. I was never rude, I said really it's a basic layer. Her answer well when did you go to school. I said I had got my license when I was18, I'm 58. She said I know conclave, and she rattling on and at the same time I getting the keys on my lap and my hand it at my neck to take off cape. Again she says my vision and her vision weren't the same and she couldn't cut my hair. I'm standing putting my hair tie on and I said I appreciate her saying No. with attitude she says yea I have no problem saying no. So before I left again m,I said I do really appreciate you saying no. Because I would hate for you to cut it and you had no idea what your doing. And walked out. Now if I had a client who had a bad haircut and hair was missing, I would of said. I can cut your hair, but the back, the short part still won't blend until it's long enough, it might take the next cut till it blends better. I worked at Supercuts for 3 years my job was cutting hair (30 cuts a day) but as a open/closer if someone came in with a bad haircut I had to access the haircut, fix what I could, if I thought it would take 2 months, to get the cut they originally wanted, I would give them 2 comp cards for 2 free haircuts. Now I wanted to write a review that day, but thought she pregnant, she's just being moody and that's why she so rude. A couple of weeks later I checked her Salon on Yelp. She had good reviews for some color jobs. But most that complained was about her attitude. I really think her rudeness was her uncertainty of layering long hair with shorter layers on top. I saw layered pictures she had done, but they were long layers. I don't care if she's good or bad. But with an attitude like hers, she has NO business working with the public. Do not let her verbally abuse you when your a paying customer. One of the first rules on how to treat a client is, The client is always right. Maybe in basic training she was absent that week. This is the slimy stuff. I posted this because your suppose to build up your clients. Not tear them down. I appreciated it because as confused as you looked, I was thankful you didn't try. As soon as I said it was a basic cut, you could not handle it, I wasn't being rude at all and you tried to deminish my work by asking how long ago did I go to school. These people said you tell it like it is as far as their hair. Telling them like it is doesn't have to across by degrading their hair. You were rude and you know you were rude. No one deserve that when they are paying for a service.

Final results

Firstly, my 6:00pm appointment didnt start until 7pm because the owner, Arlica, was still with another client when I got there. I told Arlica that I wanted to fix the unevenness from bleaching my own hair at home and also wanted a specific color. During the toning process Arlica referred to my hair as "Halloween Hair." This prompted me to open up my front view camera on my phone because i was concerned with the comment. I asked "is my hair going to look this bright once its washed off?" This agitated Arlica and she immediately answered with attidtute. She assumed i was viewing the progress from the camera with a Snapchat filter and said "we see color differently." I was charged for the new bowls of toner to fix her failed first attempt for the desired color I wanted. The job was done late and walked out without the color I wanted and rude customer service at 12:50am. I did not get the color I wanted and was left with a messy bleach job. In the picture shown, you can see the spots of bleach that are right down the middle where I part my hair and the section of over-processed hair. Would not recommend Arlica.

The owner is so unbelievably rude, not only to customers but to employees as well. Please spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Please note. I do not like to give negative reviews. It has taken me well over a month of serious…read moresoul searching, but in the end I need to post this to hopefully prevent this from happening to someone else. The mani & pedi I had on 3/17/26 was AWFUL, AWFUL!!! PLUS both nail techs talked about and LAUGHED AT ME right to my face!! I have never been made to feel more demoralized in my life all because I asked for my nails to be short, square and smooth so that I wouldn't scratch myself or run my pantyhose -- A SIMPLE request that I made when I first sat down. The woman that did my pedi used a metal grater that removed so much skin from the bottom of my feet that I couldn't hardly walk for 3 days, and it hurt terribly for over a week! The odd thing was the area she scraped and scraped didn't have hardly any need for such a device. The actual caluses were never even touched!! It seemed almost as if it was done out of spite. They knew that my son's wedding was in 3 days too. So after this brutal pedi, I could barely walk, dance or do anything during the rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, reception or the farewell brunch. It was absolutely the worst experience of my life!!! The skin on the bottom of my feet was so damaged that it was bright red for nearly 3 weeks! Most businesses treat their customers nicely if only to have repeat business. I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would treat their client with such vile behavior ESPECIALLY when I was so kind, curteous and tried to be engaging. Oh and that was the second time the manicurist treated me like that. If you don't like what you do, don't take it out on your paying client. I will never go back there EVER EVER again!! By the way, I just got a mani & pedi this evening from another salon and am absolutely thrilled with how my nails look!! That salon over on Lake Pleasant Rd treated me with such love that I can't wait to go back there!!
