I was a little thrown off balance by the fact that there wasn't a menu I could review, so I ended up just ordering an americano. The barista offered to use some coarse sugar or something in the roast/pour (I didn't really understand), but that was really yummy, and something I'd never had before. Still, I think I would have enjoyed the experience a bit more if I could have had a menu to look at. There was soft music playing, and a coffee table with a range of interesting books to look at. There was even the manuscript for a local person's unpublished play, just sitting there for pursual, and my partner and I really enjoyed flipping through that. Overall, it's certainly not the usual coffee shop vibe, but I liked how quiet it was and think it would be a really good place to come and sit and read for a few hours.
