Came to meet up with a friend and got a London fog iced. The place is cute, they have events which is neat and a lot of people seem to like it because on a Sunday afternoon it was PACKED which obviously wasn't super nice when it feels like a zoo (not the establishments fault obviously but if you have problems with lots of people this may not be the place for you). People seem to study- meet for music sessions, and chat. Dogs are allowed leashed outside. I will say I was a little bit disappointed with my ice London fog. It definitely tasted watered down. I was kind of expecting something with a lot of flavor, especially considering it was pretty expensive just to get 2 drinks at like $11 for a small medium and a large. There's parking across the street, so thankfully it's relatively easily to find a place to leave your car without having to pay . Either way, I just felt like the price was a lot for what you get. Not necessarily sure I'd be back because the drinks didn't allow me and it's kind of just out-of-the-way in Carrboro (for me)

    | Overview + Inviting ambiance + Nice outdoor area + Friendly customer service - Overpriced coffee - Lack of sweetness - Environmental-friendly cup looks like a joke - Front door needs to be fixed - Limited Parking space in gravel lot | Review Got a large iced latte with maple syrup + oat milk (+0.75) for my girl; price: $7.79. Paper cup looks cheap for pricey, mediocre coffee. Straw doesn't seem to be compatible with the container as it was hard to sip the coffee with it. My girl asked barrista to not make it just slightly sweet but ended up having no sweetness at all. Lanza's Cafe has a homely vibe with cozy atmosphere inside and nice outdoor sitting outside. Had a bit of trouble finding parking space and gravel lot is not ideal. There were many UNC students hanging out, with their laptops when we arrived. There's a vibrant, local vibe inside. When my girl opened the cafe's front door, it slammed hard when it closed, bothering some people enterung behind her. She apologized to them but it's the door's fault - That needs fixing, for sure. Despite its wonderful indoor and outdoor ambiance, Lanza's failed to deliver quality coffee. Compared to Common Grounds Coffee in downtown Apex, this cafe in downtown Carrboro is a major letdown. | Overall Score: 1.6/5

My girlfriend brought me to this cafe and honestly, I wish California had more places like this. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, and I love the inside space. Decent amount of seating inside for a good study session. There is this little space right before you enter that offers this greenhouse vibe. Wonderful spot to study. The outside also offers a lot of seats. The drinks too came out quick, but nothing too fancy!

I came here to study with a friend and it was quite crowded. But there were seats available. I got the quiche which was a bit pricey for what a got. Nothing special but a good study snack.

Really cute and vibey coffee shop. They looked to have great food options (including vegan cheese!) but I only opted for an americano to drink. The americano is delicious. Wish I had time to stay a while - they had a musician setting up, tons of seats, walls covered in art, and cute items available to purchase! I love art and trinkets so this place definitely spoke to me. Service was quick and I will remember this spot next time back in town!

Love Lanza's and will keep coming back. Great tea and wine selection available, reasonable prices and always a vibe inside. Almost always fills up, but there is plenty of seating inside & out. Always a warm welcome here!

I really like this place! The coffee and pastries are really good, and the space is large and cozy. There's plenty of seating inside, as well as in a sort of in-between-outside-and-inside space with comfy couches. Last time I came here, I got a muffin and a cappuccino, both of which were really excellent. Prices are as high as any other coffee shop in the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area, but considering that this place actually has plentiful parking and that the vibes are great, I'm more accepting of the expense. Highly recommend!

What a neat little cafe! I love the mismatched furniture and mugs. The staff was very friendly and drinks came out quickly. There was also a case stocked full of delicious-looking pastries. I sat on the screened in patio which was filled with plants and enjoyed a nice day outdoors. A perfect place for studying or hanging out with a friend. The coffee was very good and I will definitely come back!

Merritt's is a place on my list (and my mother's) for a while, and now we have a chance to visit. We made small talk with the staff. They were thrilled to learn my mother bookmarked this place when she worked at UNC Hospitals some years ago. The staff treated us well. They call out orders by name, so listen closely for your name. It was too hot to eat outside, though I imagine their bamboo patio out back will be delightful to sit at in the cooler months. The inside tables along the window have a view out to the street. There's a display case featuring fresh made desserts and other sweets worth checking out. I loved the fresh tomato, lettuce, and crispy bacon on this sandwich. I'd enjoy coming back, though I think I'll take my sandwich home next time. BLTs are the specialty here, and they do a great job making them.

The outdoor patio has a lovely atmosphere, but we took out food back to the Carolina Inn where we were staying. The BLT was excellent, and this is in early March not in tomatoes season! We also had the chicken salad sandwich. My son had the cheeseburger which he disappeared in seconds. We had to have the banana pudding--fabulous!! And.c it was such a great deal...like $10 for each sandwich. We will be back for sure!!

Absolutely fantastic in my opinion. It was a bit overwhelming at first trying to decide on what to eat. We decided for the classic Gyro and had some avocado/guacamole type side....I forget the name. The place was clean and the folks bringing food out were moving. Bathrooms were even clean. What I didn't take a pic of was the baklava I decided to get. A month later, I found myself making the hour-long drive from Cary to Haw River Tap & Table--and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. As a farmhouse ale and saison enthusiast, this place felt like my happy place. We kicked things off with a flight featuring Beneath the Feet of Orion, We're All Quite Happy Right Here, Thank You (seriously... who comes up with these wonderfully ridiculous names? ), The Seven Faces of Pepe Grano, and Mille Fleur. Every beer was thoughtfully crafted and distinct, but We're All Quite Happy Right Here, Thank You completely stole the show. A bee pollen saison sounds unconventional, yet it was beautifully balanced, floral, refreshing, and unlike anything I've had before. The food easily kept pace with the beer. The Southern Cheese Slaw & Crackers disappeared embarrassingly fast, and the Carolina Egg Rolls were huge, crispy, and packed with flavor--perfect companions to the farmhouse ales. Of course, one flight wasn't enough. Round two included Crimson Velvet, Carolina Tapestry, Toasted Coconut Scribbler's Son, and Cultural Divide: Muscadine Rosemary. Each pour showcased the brewery's creativity without feeling gimmicky. Whether it was the rich toasted coconut lager, the juniper-forward sahti, or the tart muscadine rosemary sour, there was something memorable in every glass. If you appreciate breweries that aren't chasing the latest hazy IPA trend and instead focus on expertly crafted saisons, farmhouse ales, and unique traditional styles, Haw River Tap & Table is absolutely worth the trip. The quality, creativity, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent food made for an outstanding afternoon. I came because of one bottle from Whole Foods. I left already planning my next visit. Cheers!

It was a very casual set up, you order at the counter, take a plaque with a number, and they bring your food out when ready. Still riding the high from May's National Burger month, I decided to give their smash burger a try. Their smash burgers by default are only 3oz, but for +$4 you can get a second, and I'm assuming a third or fourth if you keep paying the additional fee. I also got a side of potato wedges, and the Shortstraw IPA (brewed with fresh pine needles!!!). They had a good variety of beers, so it was hard to pick. The Shortstraw IPA was an awesome starter. I wasn't sure at first, but the cashier gave me a taste, and it was really flavorful and unique. The food didn't take too long to come out, and everything tasted great. The burger was cooked perfected with some tasty seasonings on it, the fries were also cooked to perfection with a slight crunch on the outside, and soft on the inside. This was a great visit, and somewhere I'll certainly return to next time I'm in the area for a show. Friendly service, tasty food, and unique/delicious beer!
