Once my tech realized I wanted a basic pedicure and no polish her anger began. I wanted to take a one month break from polish. She was rough, sloppy, and quick, she started my new set of fingernail acrylics in the pedicure chair and went sporadically back and forth with my pedicure. So my leg would be out of the water freezing while she worked on my fingernails. She clipped my long acrylic nail and it snapped off causing a lot of pain. I soaked my fingers in acetone during the rest of the pedicure which was longer than I've ever had my skin in acetone. She was obviously talking about me to her tech friends with anger. When we moved to her nail station she started clipping my cuticles which I've never had done with a new set of acrylics in 30 years. I asked why and she said I need a manicure too. I told her I just want a new set of acrylics as she continued to clip my cuticles and she showed me the menu and said " only $27". That would be on top of the new set that I was there for. I told her I don't want a manicure too ( the new set replaces a manicure) and she agreed to charge me $10 for a manicure instead of $27. I stayed firm and told her I only wanted to pay for a new set. She acted like she was in a rage during the rest of my treatment yanking my hand up and throwing it down. She didn't shorten my left hand at all but shortened my right hand. I went home and filled my nails to be equal and when I put socks on they got caught in my toenails. I don't know if they get a commission or what but she acted so angry she couldn't think straight and she talked to all the techs that would listen to her about it. One week later the nails were lifting so bad I had to get a new set. read more

Go someplace else. We had a larger group that my normal place couldn't work in so we tried this spot. I needed a regular pedicure as I get one every 3 weeks. Longer lasting is not my priority. I selected regular pedicure from the menu & the tech immediately tried to up-sale to gel or longer lasting options. When I said no for the 3rd time she became very rude & rough. Elsa has been waxing my face for over two years and she's wonderful! She takes her time to do a thorough and professional job. What makes me so angry is the management. They're like a sweat shop! They don't seem to care about their staff and it's ALL about the money! Yesterday, I knew I was going to be in the area to run errands, so I called to see if Elsa was working today. The man who answered said she would be working. I asked what hours did she work and he said anytime and asked if I wanted to make an appointment. I told him no, I'd call tomorrow when I knew my schedule. Today, after lunch, I called to find out when she would be available. A woman answered the phone and told me Thursdays were Elsa's days off. This isn't the first time they've gotten me inside their door and then try to pawn me off of someone else. One time, I got there early and she was still working on someone and they tried to hand me off to someone else. I explained that I was early and I'd be happy to wait. I went it to get my acrylics removed and to get gel over my natural nails. The nails tech cut my cuticle with cuticle clippers and I was bleeding through the whole appointment. She proceeded to put some liquid and powder on it that painfully burnt the open cut. She put the powder on with her bare fingers and was using nail brushes to clean the blood as well. When bleeding didn't stop she offered to glue the cut with nails glue! She proceeded to polish my nails with the gel nail polish even though I was bleeding and there was dry blood underneath the gel. I left in pain with pretty big open cut on my cuticle and a bad gel set. When I got home I called for a refund and they refused. read more

I'm used to getting attention to the cuticles and a relaxing hand massage. Not here. Got the manicure on Sunday, by Monday the color was chipped on several nails. On the upside they didn't try to push any of the more expensive services and it was quick. If you're in a hurry and don't care about the quality or long lasting results, this place might work for you. Not for me. I will not recommend it to anyone. Save your money and go to any other nail salon! Every time I go it's a HORRIBLE experience. I've given this salon chance after chance and after my experience today, I'm done giving this salon my business. I wanted a basic French pedicure and the nail tech, Jimmy, chopped the corners of my nails, completely unnecessary. Cutting the side of your nails the way he did causes ingrown toenails and INFECTIONS. I stopped him as soon as I realized what had happened and immediately stopped the pedicure...at this point i was so upset I no longer wanted a pedicure and was getting up to leave. He went to get the owner and 2 other nails techs came over to ask what happened...i showed them how he cut my nails and they were trying say they could fix it...and asked to put acrylic on the sides of my nails. Absolutely not. The nail techs did agree with me and they also couldn't understand why Jimmy had cut my nails the way he did. After them consistently asking to finish up the pedicure I did end up agreeing and finishing the pedicure with the nail techs but there was no apology from the previous nail tech Jimmy or the owner... or discount, absolutely nothing. I will be watching out for any ingrown nails and infections. I will be reporting this salon. Again, please just do yourself a favor and go to a salon where all nail techs know how to do a PROPER pedicure. read more

Had to ask the technician to pay attention to my pedicure, because she was talking so much and barely paying attention to my feet. I've been here a couple times, and although the service was decent, the last couple times have been a nightmare. Sloppy (hurtful techs) cutting cuticles (more than a couple times), rushing, and not being up front about wait times. Last time I came in on an appt and was switched stations THREE times before they started. Today I came in with my 2 daughters, we asked if they could see us for 2 full sets, and 1 fill. FORTY minutes we waited while they took 3+ walks ins in front of us because we weren't also doing pedicures. (I was just in for a pedicure last week) Currently there is 3 men sitting at a pedicure stations, and they waited 20 minutes to go back, and now have been waiting almost A HOUR with socks, and shoes still on with no clue when their gonna get serviced. It's NOT OK to waste you paying clients time EVER. Being short staffed is not ok to not be upfront about your wait times! I opted to let my bf's daughters do their nails as their only here for the weekend, and allow another adult to take my place trying to be courteous of the other clients. This place is always so quick to take your money, but so shady with the service they provide- Don't waste your time. Edit--- She just tried to charge me a $20 difference because she drew 2 small hearts on my 1 daughter nails. Today is the grand opening at Beautiful Nails and Spa and they are offering great specials. Needing a pedicure I decided to drive a little further and try them out. It was busy at 10am but I was immediately greeted, offered a variety of snacks and drinks, and quickly seated in one of the spa pedicure chairs. My tech, Julie, introduced herself and within minutes my feet were soaking in warm water. I opted for the deluxe pedicure which included a paraffin wax and leg massage at the end. They have quite a bit of colors to choose from. Almost too many but I settled on a holographic pink and gold one. Julie took her time and made my feet look and feel great. The paraffin wax at the end was the icing on the cake and my feet felt incredibly soft and pampered. Beautiful Nails has been the best pedicure place I've found so far in San Antonio. There are many nail places to choose from but you can tell they are going the extra mile to make their customers feel appreciated. read more

I get powder dip nails and keep going back to Vickie for consistency and her kind, professional touch. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that pedicures have been hit or miss.
