It's very telling, what kind of customer service you will get at a business as soon as you walk in. Let me share my experience at this place... I walked in and I was ignored by all 10+ employees there. No one was at the front but they were all facing me/saw me! when someone finally did acknowledge me, I asked her if they were available for mani pedi and she said "we don't have time for you today" mind you it's 11am on a Wednesday.. they close at 7pm but have no availability... sure, ok. I immediately walked out. In hindsight it was a blessing in disguise and it's safe to say i will NEVER return!!! read more

Nicole was so sweet!! I've never written a review before but had to for this place. She did a great job on my pedicure and it turned out amazing. 10/ 10 would recommend because of service and staff and cleanliness of the salon! read more

Ivy Nail & Spa - Pedicure - Nail Salons Near Me - Bulverde, Texas

HORRIBLE PEDICURE, HORRIBLE SERVICE! Right off the bat the only person (female) who could slightly speak English couldn't find the nail color I picked. Instead of searching she brought me the first polish she found... not even close lady!! I Explained wrong color. To save me time & aggravation I picked another color. She then offered me a glass of wine. Thank you very much! It had been a long day. However what she brought me came out of at least a 35 year old box! OK maybe exaggerating but not by much. A man did my pedicure. He basically cut my nails down to the quick. When I told him it hurt he said I should have told him 'not so short'. By then too late dude. He put my foot in the water and it burned my toe. The original lady came over and I explained what was happening. She also said I should have said something. She offered me a 50% discount so I would shut up. I finished up with the man. I Went to pay and I still gave the man a $5 tip. Same lady took my payment and walked off as if I did some wrong! Then she stormed off! Never again read more

Love Ivy Nails! I've been going for over three years. They are so friendly, clean and professional and you can't beat the price in Bulverde. I usually get the pearl tips and they last so much longer than most nail salons. I love Nicole and they always take care of me. read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Booked an appt hours in advance for 5pm. Mind you there were spots open until 6:30 today. I walk in and at least 4-5 others are being serviced and I am told they will not take me because they tried to get me to come an hour earlier. I replied back to them and they never responded. To top it off they were RUDE and did not apologize at all when I told them I wrote them back and they didn't respond. I will be writing a review on every place reviews are made. This is just ridiculous people do walk ins all the time and get serviced. You people ruined my day. read more

We are visitors staying in Canyon Lake. My husband and I were needing pedicures and I needed nail fills. A friend who lives in Bulverde recommended Ivy Nail & Spa. The service was great, the place was clean, the pedicures were one of the best we've had, and my nails look great. All fairly priced. It was above my expectations from being out of town. Would definitely recommend and go back! read more

Walked in to an empty nail salon to get a manicure and was told they didn't have availability to make an appointment next time...I work in sales so my schedule changes often so it's hard to book in advance. Won't be returning read more

So i do recommend coming here to all you ladies out there! read more

Definitely coming back to this place! :) and my pedicure turned out fabulous! read more

Ivy Nail & Spa - Lynn did a great job on my pedicure:) - Nail Salons Near Me - Bulverde, Texas

Ladies, please save your time & money.. What's the point of making an appointment if they don't honor them? Walked in 15 minutes early for my reserved 1pm (2 days ahead) and was ignored upon entry. So, I sat down & patiently waited. It wasn't until 3 other women walked in 5 minutes after who conveniently ALSO HAD 1PM APPTs were acknowledged & seated before me. I left and couldn't have been happier! ***Highly recommend SB NAILs*** read more

I've been going to Ivy for years and I've never left the salon with any emotion other than pure joy. Everyone there is extremely kind and welcoming. Lien does my nails every time I go in and she is fantastic, Nicole does my pedicures and she is amazing as well. I've never been upset or disappointed in the quality I receive from ivy, as I have always received the highest quality from this salon. The prices are very reasonable and they even offer a $5 discount every 3 visits!! read more

Asked for pedicure and manicure colors to match but very very different. Pedicure felt rushed. Dip nail manicure started to crack a day after getting. Eventually 6 out of 10 has either horizontal or diagonal cracks. They did "repair" the first 2 but looked so off with differing lengths. read more

I paid $33 for my pedicure. Customer service awful. From the minute we walked in the attitude was terrible. The lady flat out asked me if I wanted water and nearly rolled her eyes when I responded yes. Um, you asked ME. My nails were cut at an angle. The lady would not admit it and asked me why I didn't say anything until after my nails were painted. Um, because I didn't really see it until my feet were on the floor. The sugar scrub consisted of putting sugar around my ankle area and immediately cleaning off with the towel. The standard pedi massage, nonexistent. She explained that because she put hot oil on, that was the massage. Say what? Pro tip: instead of arguing with the client, offer a correction! Perhaps an apology. Don't like look at me like I have 2 heads and argue with my experience. *le sigh* read more

Happy to have found this spot right next to my pet groomer and some yummy pizza! Busy place but was able to get a walk-in pedi right as they opened. Wally did an amazing pedicure with Hands Down the best lower leg & foot massage I've ever had! Highly recommend Ivy in the Bulverde/Spring Branch area! read more

Went with my daughter. They were friendly. Asked to make a heart design in my daughter finger nail they did a white ugly line and when I reminded them for the third time she said I can't do that. Yet they wanted to charge me for it. I asked for it to be removed, only removed one hand. My pedicure was ok, but they charged me for a pedicure I didn't get. I didn't get hot towels, or callous removal. In fact, they never even asked me what pedicure I wanted. When I went to pay, I told them and they became rude and argued with me. At the end I ended up over paying by $8. Never coming back. Oh also never offered a drink... read more

This is my go-to Nail Spa whenever I want a pedi or mani. They have great prices and are usually very friendly! They've always done a great job on my nails and I've never had a bad experience. They also have a great nail color selection! read more

First time-Last time! I booked my appointment 5/20 with this salon based on their reviews. I made an appoint and I arrived 15 min early. I was seated with an elderly lady- name possibly Tu Nyguen. My request was a pink and white refill and thin tips. At no time during the appoint did she ask me my name or tell me hers (got the possible name from mail scattered around her unkempt station). She never asked me what I liked or didn't like - never even offered a beverage. This was the WORST experience in a nail salon that I have ever had and I've been getting my nails done for 30+ years. Because she was in a hurry and didn't file the old white down to my nail-I now have 2 different color whites on my tips -the difference is visible. She asked me which color I wanted and I chose soft white not realizing the outcome. Then when I pointed it out to her she said that because I requested thin tips the soft white didn't hold it's color. That info would have been nice to know from the nail expert! I can't even say that her attitude changed when I said something because it sucked from the beginning. It is obvious that this job does not make her heart sing. Lastly, this place was not clean, especially around the area where I was supposed to wash my hands and only 1 community nail brush-yuk! And before I get the canned response from management "Hi, we are so sorry about your negative experience at our store. We'd like to learn more about your specific situation and make things right. If you wouldn't mind giving us a call our store number at your earliest convenience, it would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to speaking with you and working towards earning back your business." she made sure everyone in the store was aware in her native language-there is no need for me to call. read more

This is my favorite local nail place. The location is clean and staff is friendly. My usual service is a spa pedicure which includes the usual (massaging chair, leg massage, nail polish change). They also do a fantastic job with any waxing services you might need. They are closed for a month until they open their new location in March. read more

About a year ago I decided to try powder dip because my nails are very thin. I came to this place with my niece even though it is about 20 miles from my home. They did a great job and the dip lasts until my nails grow out, about 3 to 4 weeks. I've tried other nail salons closer to my home, and the powder dip starts peeling or chips off in a week or so. Every time I go back to Ivy, it lasts and doesn't chip. They are very busy but really try to accommodate you if you don't have an appointment. read more

Got acrylic nails done but after 3 weeks they were becoming separated at cuticle ends. Went back for a fill in set. It has been just over a week and a couple of nails are separating already. Think I'll have to try a new nail place. If I'd known this was going to happen again I would not have gone back for the fills. 2 bad jobs is enough for me . read more

I was a little hesitant to go here after reading some of the reviews, but I decided to make an appointment anyway. They were ready for me as soon as I arrived (no waiting), she listened to what I asked for, she was quick (which is very important to me), and I left extremely happy with my nails! I asked for sharp square, she did sharp square. I asked her to make sure they were all the same length (that was the issue I was having with my last nail place) and they are all the same length. She didn't make them too thick, nor too thin. I absolutely recommend, and I have found my new nail place / nail girl! For reference, I got my nails done by Kay. Thank you, Kay! read more

I have been going to Ivy for 3 years. I never ask for a specific nail tech because I have found they all do a great job. They are so flexible so when I ask for designs or polished or gel, they take care of whatever I request. My nails last longer than most places I've been. The pedis are wonderful. My daughter says it's the best one anywhere. They have a wide variety of colors. Their prices are more than fair so I tip well. read more

I've been going to Ivy Nails for years. A SA business owner, I have a different view of what the way they run their business. I see clients get upset because they can't just walk in and be served. Make an appointment! This is what 80% of people do. I can respect that. I also am in awe of how they overcome a language barrier. What we might view as "rude" is really their limited English vocabulary. I've not been disappointed with the service ever. read more

This is a family business. Try to kindly request something they have not decided you should have and they bark in their native language across the room clearly angry. Then they pout and don't even answer you. So unprofessional. They just want to be done with you so they can move as fast as possible to the next person. They make you feel very uncomfortable. I tried to give them a second and third chance because their location is convenient for me. But they lack in customer care. I do not recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a positive and relaxing experience. read more

Have tried this salon 4-5 times now because I love the open, clean vibe of it. Staff are not overly friendly, but don't ignore you, either. Had shellac mani with pedi this most recent visit and shellac looked ok. Asked for a candy cane design and the tech YouTubed it. It wasn't bad, but didn't look crisp and clean like I expected it to. Same tech has done my pedi last two visits and she spent an average of 2 minutes per leg for massage. I told her that was my favorite part on 2nd visit and she didn't get the hint. Another patron told me she only came here because Hill Country Spa couldn't squeeze her in that day....think I will keep looking. read more

Lyn and Wally are amazing but the person that answers the phone is rude. Impossible to get an appointment and she never offers a solution. Just says goodbye read more

I've had gel nails done by Ivy at least 12 times, and my mother had her toes done there once when she was in town. They've always been able to fit me in and they do excellent work. My nails usually last at least 12 days (and I'm always working with my hands so that's a good number of days). There is a language gap with some of the ladies that work there, but they are kind hearted and care about the service they provide so don't put too much stock into some of the reviews about them being rude. If you've traveled outside the US, people are not overly friendly namely because their English is not real well. This place is popular, they do great work, so the lady on the phone is in a rush. She's not rude. read more

The pedicure was good. The service was awful. They try to overcharge you so be careful reviewing your charges before you pay. And just because someone is not American doesn't mean they just moved here! Learn some fucking manners and simple etiquette. read more

Great experience every time! I plan on coming on a regular basis. Got a pedicure by Tran and it was great!

This place is no longer open on sundays! Drove all the over here because their website says open sundays 11-5 but nope they're not!

I have been a loyal customer for 5 years now and it is by far the cleanest and most comfortable salon in the area. They always offer me something to drink and my nails and toes look fresh for weeks. They are friendly, very talented and always ready to help you with any special requests. I always walk in (never schedule appointments) and they are always quick to acknowledge and accommodate me. read more

Love love love! Ivy Nail has been so good to me and my daughter (now 6yrs old)! We have followed them from their original location to this current one. We only go for pedicures since I work with my hands and don't do manicures or nails but they ALWAYS have time for us (usually we're walk ins) do a great job, never rush and care for us like family. They now have TWO customers for life! read more

Go some where Else!!! I went in wanting powder dip manicure but quickly changed to just getting mine removed and waiting to go to my regular nail girl(somewhere else) this place is dirty and there is a distinct smell when sitting at the table. Took about 10-15mins to acknowledge me when I first walked in. I also noticed that there were no Texas law sign of business licenses or cosmetology licenses anywhere to be found or hung up. Highly concerning! read more

use to go here all the time now it's getting too busy and the work is being rushed. Not a happy customer going somewhere else

Everytime I come here it gets worse. People that bark at you from when you walk in. Pedicures that are sloppy, massage chairs that you can hardly feel, and every time someone shoves their sharp finger nail under my toenail to apply polish. Also, I guess every single person there thinks reflexology means pushing their thumbs into your shin and the bones on your feet. It was almost as if they purposely skip the muscles and go straight into torturing you for an hour. Double bonus- you can stare at a blank Netflix user screen the entire time as well. I used to love this place, but I think they honestly are just trying to get each of us out of the door as quick as possible while inflicting the most amount of pain that they can. From now on I will drive into SA to get a pedicure- read more
