I have gone to Amanda for face wax and eyebrow wax and tint. She's always been very forthcoming and…read morelet's me know what she's doing from start to finish - and she's exceptionally thorough on aftercare. But, that's not the reason for this review. Today, I did my FIRST EVER BRAZILIAN WAX!! **GASP** IT WAS AMAZING!  Well, the waxing part stung a bit...but I have tattoos and went through 30-hours of unmedicated labor, so, this wasn't as bad as I had imagined. (Not saying you have to have those things to be able to tolerate a Brazilian wax, but that's how I psyched myself up for it). My appointment was at 8:45 this morning. She was there already so I didn't have to wait. She greeted me and then left the room so I could get undressed from the waist down (privacy, for this? Yes, thank you very much!) She already knew how apprehensive I was and how nervous this unknown was to me. She literary walked me through each step she was doing! She kept me talking...and not mindless babble, but really engaging conversation. I didn't have to strike an awkward pose - like the cannonball (knees to chest), the frog (soles of feet together and knees open wide), and I certainly didn't have to go face down, ass up! And she went over what to expect, what to do and what not to do, and extensive after care. There was no time to keep one side covered while she did the other side - she worked both sides so easily! So, when the right side was done, she just had me change my leg positions! (The position I was in was on my back, if left leg was straight, my right leg was bent to make a figure 4, and vice versa.) And for the back end, all I did was lie on my stomach. I didn't feel self-conscious, overwhelmed, or exposed at all. I even bought these little bottles of aftercare stuff, called Love My Muff! She uses them so she was able to explain their purpose to me. Oh, and when talking about those areas, she never made it crude or uncomfortable, just matter-of-fact. Before I end, let me tell you, she has the best music! So, with all that said, I highly recommend Sweet Vanity waxing.

My appointments now include underarms and lip to accommodate my Brazilian and Amanda never misses a hair! Cute suite. Superb service. Comfortable sessions. Convenient booking. Competitive pricing. I have zero complaints!

Amanda does a great job on facials and waxings. I love having my brows waxed and she even will dye…read moremy eyelashes so I don't have to wear mascra since I don't like to wear a lot of make-up. My skin is addicted to Amanda's facials. I try to visit her at least once every six weeks for a facial to 'refresh' my skin and she is great on recommending products that suit my face. I still get breakouts regularly to the point of still using Proactivy until Amanda recommended another option. She carries the Imagine Skin Care product line and recommended the Clear Cell Facial Cleaner. Since I have been using it, I rarely get breakouts at all anymore. Again, I don't tend to spend money on facial products, but I love the Total Repair Cream too. Going to Amanda regularly and using Imagine has my skin looking better than ever. The Salon is not big but that's what I like about it. It is very professional and classy and since it is small, very personalized. Unlike other salons I have been to where the registration and waiting area is decorated very high-end, but once you get into the room, it is very basic, the equipment looks worn, as does the esthetician, this salon is very clean, nicely decorated, and Amanda always delivers first class skin work. Oh...and she also does Airbrush tanning. I was going on vacation and didn't want to go to a tanning salon but I also didn't want to blind other vacationers with my white legs so I booked an appointment with Amanda to get a spray tan. It looked fantastic and by the time I left to go on vacation, I looked like I just got back. Be sure to follow Amanda's instructions for maintenance, especially if you are going to be in the Ocean. Salt water will fade it quickly - fortunately, by the time I was getting in the ocean, I had a base tan so all was good. Even living in Plano, going to see Amanda in Wylie is definitely worth the drive. I even bought my monther-in-law a gift certificate to see Amanda and she is now recommending Amanda to all her friends.

My daughter and I visited for full sets and pedicures. While the services themselves were adequate,…read moreseveral aspects of the customer experience were concerning. First, I was not offered any beverage or hospitality during the appointment. More importantly, I had to specifically request a paper receipt after payment. Upon reviewing the receipt after leaving the salon, I discovered a 2.25% convenience fee had been added to my transaction without any prior disclosure. When I called to inquire about the charge, I was immediately offered a refund. However, my concern was never the amount itself. The issue is transparency. Customers should be informed of any additional fees before a transaction is completed so they can make an informed decision about whether to proceed. There was no signage posted at the register, and the fee was never verbally disclosed during checkout. Additionally, staff engaged my minor child in personal conversations regarding her appearance without first addressing me as her parent. As we were leaving, we were also repeatedly encouraged to leave a 5-star review, which felt uncomfortable and inappropriate. Businesses have an obligation to be transparent regarding pricing and fees. Undisclosed charges, even small ones, undermine customer trust. I believe customers deserve full disclosure of all fees before payment is processed, not after they review their receipt. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we may think twice about returning.
