First, they are expensive. I tried this nail salon and the first time I went it was mostly a positive experience. Michael did acrylic nails for me and they turned out beautifully. The pedicure was different. I asked for a tip and acrylic on my big toe. The girl put the tip on crooked, but when I asked them to fix it I got the "your nail grow that way" response. (It doesn't grow that way.) The woman who owns or manages the spa hovers around, but is far more defensive than helpful. She kept insisting that I was wrong. I went back the 2nd time because I liked the way Michael did acrylics. He did a beautiful job on the acrylics, but once again... the pedicure kept resulting in miss-shapen toenails. The owner again got defensive and argued with me, but eventually agreed to fix them. (It shouldn't have to be an argument.) The 3rd and final time I went, Michael wasn't on duty so I had J. I decided to try dip nails. J was friendly right up until I told her my tips were going on crooked. Then her demeanor changed. Again I was told that my nail "grow that way." After 3 times, I asked her to just let me put them on, which I did - and then they were all straight. The whole time I was doing it, she would dramatically roll her eyes. She was mad that I inconvenienced her and that I wouldn't just go with the crooked nails. With the dip nails, I chose a color but the nails did not come out even close to the color I selected. I pointed this out and was again met with defensive reactions, saying it was the exact color I chose. After them arguing that it was the same color I chose, I had to get the sample card to show them the difference. Only then did they admit it was different... but that it wasn't their fault because sometimes "the colors change." (???) I paid a very expensive price to be argued with over nails that were not at all what I selected and that I just didn't like at all. If you are okay with not saying anything when something goes wrong, it will be fine. If you have ANY problem or ask them to fix or change something, be prepared for them to instantly become defensive and sour. I gave them 3 chances. I will not go back. Between the high prices, the claims that my fingers and toes grew "crooked" (which miraculously was not at all the case when I put tips on myself) and the ridiculous arguing that they are right and you are wrong, I just will not go back. read more

For whatever reason the lady with glasses had a bad attitude after I told her I only wanted my nails and toe nails just old school painted. This place makes you pay for service before they begin on you which I see why now. I wanted a sparkle white done which requires multiple layers and I only got two.meaning I can see the discoloring and my nail color underneath. There are also clumps for whatever reason. My nails are so ridged because she did not file them down at all good. They do not use plastic liners in the bowls for pedicures and the "sanitized" pack of nail tools had been reused multiple times. I rarely get manicures because I'm super picky about my nails. But I really needed to find a place in Dallas where I could get my nails done for my wedding, specifically one that did dip manicures. I picked Cute Nails and Spa after seeing their rating and reviews and it was the perfect choice! I decided to do a trial and see if they could recreate the look I wanted (nude with silver glitter in a Ruffian/reverse French design). They immediately greeted me when I walked in. They pointed me to a manicure "booth" and offered me something to drink. The wait was a bit long to get someone to do my manicure but I really didn't mind that because I was having a lot of trouble picking out a nude color. I actually picked one after about 15 minutes but when I showed it to the lady (the owner?), she actually told me that the color I picked would probably not be as close to the color I wanted. I was super grateful that she told me because I ended up picking a different color that was perfect. Vy was the girl who did my manicure and she did such a great job! I hate letting others cut my nails because of the shape (bit my nails for so long that they grow upwards instead of curving down and they have a longer white part than average). My nails were way too long for me though so I asked her to cut my nails but that most people cut them to uneven lengths. She listened and made sure to compare each nail to its partner on the other hand. Perfect and equal lengths on both hands! She was super exact with the dip part of the manicure. When we got to the design part, she pulled a silver color that ended up being the wrong color for me. She asked after the first nail whether I liked it and when I told her I didn't like it, she immediately wiped it off and picked out three other colors, including a silver glitter one I loved. She was very detailed when doing the design, and really when doing the entire manicure. I ended up running late for a meeting and I asked her to skip the hand massage part but I'm sure she would have done a great job. The only mistake on my manicure was a ripple in the top coat on my pinky but I am 100% sure that was my bad when I moved my hand under the UV light. I was in a rush and didn't notice it until the next day. They give new customers $5 off their next service, which is pretty sweet (although QQ, won't be back in time to use it before it expires). Overall, I'm extremely happy with my manicure and the customer service was amazing. I definitely plan on going there again before my wedding and hopefully be able to bring my bridesmaids for a pre-wedding party! read more

Rude! Nail bars are a dime a dozen around here, so go somewhere else where the will listen to you when you voice your concerns. This place calls you a liar! If you want decent or OK customer service, don't go here! It's horrible! I complained about a nail tech, and was told I lied about my experience! Let me start by saying they did a good job. Place was nice and clean. Expensive! However, I was lied to about their pedicure services- telling me they only had three kinds and given a menu with 3 kinds. After questioning them not having a basic they produced a menu with others. My friend shows up after and the lady showed her two options. A $58 and $78 pedicure. And she said "you only have 2 pedicures" and she said yes. I said they have more and they ignored us. I don't like being lied to and bamboozled. Will not be visiting due to their lack of honesty. read more

Never thought I'd have to write a Yelp review, let alone a negative, 1 star one, but here we go.....I've been going to this salon for a couple years, and due to COVID-19 I haven't been in for an appointment since maybe February. I decided to go in today since I figured most salons were being safe with sanitizing everything and wearing masks. Unfortunately, for the hour I was there for my pedicure, 3 staff members were not wearing masks for nearly the entire hour I was there. Both myself & another client, as well as our own techs (my tech was Kim) were thankfully wearing masks. They only put on masks once another client (maybe 5 minutes before the end of my appointment) walked into the salon. I sat there and watched staff members WITHOUT MASKS talk to me, the other client, and each other like nothing was wrong? I didn't know who the manager was so I decided to just raise my concerns when I got home, via Facebook messenger, which is how I booked my appointment in the first place. The manager apologized and said that they would tell their staff to wear masks for the future, and I hoped that I could come in again. I didn't feel like that was a physical or tangible enough to prove to me that they would keep their clients safe for the future, so I asked for a refund. They took 2 hours to respond to my request with a "", so to speed up this process I called the salon. I was told I couldn't be given a refund, because apparently they have never given out refunds for as long as the salon has been running. I stated that if I can't get a refund, that's fine (I didn't want Kim to lose money) so I asked if there was something else we could work out, maybe coming in for a different service that could be comped, or maybe even a discount for the future. The manager simply said no. I work in healthcare and see firsthand how serious COVID-19 is, & how important it is to sanitize, social distance, and ESPECIALLY wear masks! But I also know that people want to live their lives and that people need to work + make money. You would think a small business like this would be more considerate of the circumstances that a global pandemic entails...but no. Please for your own safety, DO NOT come to this salon. They don't care about your safety, and only about your money. read more

I tried this salon out this afternoon with my three kids 6(kids pedicure and manicure) 13(pedicure) and 20(Nexgen)and was so happy with the kindness and accommodations from everyone. Each technician made sure they understood what each one of us wanted, were prompt with attending to us and even joked with my son about getting his nails painted (which he did for comedic reasons, bright pink) and they did it, no questions asked. Got my nails done here months ago once. Never coming back again. Like others have said in their reviews, I had my first nail pop off a mere two days after I got them done. You might be wondering... what could she have been doing to make it fall off that quickly?? I was pulling a shirt over my head, people. That has NEVER happened to me before so quickly after getting a new set and I've had my nails done for years. I could tell immediately after getting them done that most of my new nails did not feel like they were totally adhered to my real nails underneath. I should've known then what the next week would look like for me. I ended up coming back 2 more times after that first visit to have each nail put back on after they each popped off. After the third nail popped off, I wrote this place off. It was super freaking disappointing, especially for how much money I dropped on this place on that first visit (new set of dip nails with the chrome dip powder polish + one of their "upgraded" pedicures) - OVER $150!!! . All this money wasted on this place... I wasted so much of my money on Cute Nails and Spa. I would've been better off burning three $50 bills in my fireplace for warmth. A man did my fingernails (not the owner) and a woman did my toenails, but I do not remember either of their names. I wish I paid more attention to the negative reviews in the first place. I was willing to drop this place and not look back... until they added me to their text list. I've responded back with every "unsubscribe" keyword I can think of, yet it still sends me all these unwanted text messages I never signed up for in the first place. ALL. THE. TIME. It's so annoying. They got my number because they "require" you to "sign in" with your phone number when you arrive. I consider it borderline - if not outright - harassment. And, by the way, the only reason this place has great ratings is because they bribe their customers into leaving a good review for a surprise "freebie," like a subpar generic lotion from... like... Dollar Tree. The only positive I can possibly give this place is that my pedicure was good. That's all. Not sure if it was worth splurging for a very expensive pedicure, though. A normal one would've done the trick. I'm not interested in ever stepping foot in this place again, I'm not interested in wasting any more of my money at this place, and I'm absolutely not interested in receiving any text messages with their silly promotions from them. Every text message from them is a reminder of the dumb decision I made that one day months ago to unknowingly waste over $150 at Cute Nails and Spa. Please don't contact me, ever.
