First time back in about 7-8 years and I love it! I've tried maybe 2-3 other places between then and now (cuz they were closer to home) and they weren't as comfortable or professional as here. Love that we have our own individual rooms for privacy and relaxation. My lash tech was sooooooo friendly and knowledgeable and kind. We talked about my upcoming trip and how I wanted the lashes to last past the trip and we decided to go from 120 to 130 lashes just in case. There's plenty of parking here and it's not packed with other clients in the lobby, you come at your appt time and get in right away. The sign in front is missing because they were getting windows tinted but I called and found the location. When looking at the building, it's the left corner unit. I absolutely love my lashes! Kayo-San did an amazing job. I already have long eyelashes, however I get extensions to save time on my makeup routine in the morning and I also like to avoid mascara. Long story short, I do it for more of a natural look with some volume, a natural curl, and a wee bit of thickness. Plus, mascara can get clumpy, gross, and it's difficult to remove. Eyelash extensions are truly life changing. The facility is very clean, and the service is great. This salon reminds me of every Japanese salon I've ever been to. It's quiet and relaxing... I, personally, think it's really off-putting having to deal with obnoxiously loud people, therefore the environment is perfect for me. (You get your own private room! *Hooray*) There's also a level of professionalism here that one will rarely find anywhere else. Kayo-San is very attentive, a great conversationalist, and is so, so sweet. I'm planning to visit japan during cherry blossom season next year (spring), and she gave me tips on where to go to shop, relax, and eat! We also had a lovely conversation about art and fashion. She is such a doll, and I will be back to see her the next time I'm in town. Just so you know you can't use any technician you would like in order to utilize their discount on here for $65 for $130 worth of services... I was told I can't chose my technician and it is no where to be found in any "small print" which she told me it was in the small print.. If I would have booked with Connie and then had given the coupon would they have made me pay 30-40$ more... I tried to come today with the technician of their choice and when I told her I could come right now that j literally live 7 minutes away she was like oh actually there's not enough time today... Ahaha Not to mention the girl was unprofessional over the phone and put me on hold several times and disconnected with me and never called back... I was only trying to schedule an appointment and use the first time customer deal available on this website. I've been on the phone for literally almost an hour with this woman trying to tell me that if I book with a technician that she can "change her schedule" and I will be with a technician of their choice. What? That doesn't sound professional at all and even before you come you need to give a credit card over the phone. No thanks! Message to the owner---- it if you want to have certain restrictions on coupons/ deals than write it on the coupon/ deal and don't just have a snooty woman reinforce your wishes by phone when a new customer calls in to make their first appointment.... The restriction I s not mentioned so therefore should not be applied like the site says "no additional restrictions".. Yes yes yes!!!! This eyelash salon is my absolute favorite. Originating in Japan, eyelash extensions are the number one thing that can instantly brighten up your face. I am VERY picky when it comes to anything to do with my eyes, (see my review for my optometrist as well as my LASIK experience) so I really did my research before deciding on Beauteous as my eyelash salon. First off, there is a technician applying single eyelashes to every one of your eyelashes with these tweezers things along your lash line. You need an expert to do this, do not trust the random Groupons or the random nail salons that also offer eyelash services. Go to a place that specializes ONLY in eyelashes, it takes a long time to get certified in the Japanese way of applying eyelashes, its very detail oriented and specific. I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH. I have tried the Groupons with the random cramped salons with a bunch of people laying around in chairs all getting their lashes done at once. The quality of the glue is subpar, afterwards my eyes would water and be irritated....and my lashes ended up looking like dead cockroach legs within two weeks. The quality of the lashes, the glue, and the technique at Beauteous is the best I have ever seen. I get compliments all the time, professional make up artists who see lash extensions day in and day out are constantly impressed with the quality of them and I've referred countless people to this salon. Although it may not be the cheapest offering in OC it is definitely the best. I take good care of my lashes and I get touchups once a month which is very affordable. Honestly I have seen a lot of bad lash extensions in my day, where the lashes are all twisted around, or huge gaps in between, or a few lashes clumped together. Beauteous is five stars all around starting from the quality and natural look of the lashes, to the staff, to the receptionist who is on top of the scheduling and very organized, to the whole experience. I have been getting my eyelashes done here for three years and I always enjoy the experience. The environment is very clean, they have relaxing music on, and they ask you to silence your cell phone before going into your appointment. I was explained the procedure and how to care for my lashes properly! I was taken care of by Kana and she did a really good job. I did wear jeans on a hot day and felt a bit uncomfortable but she opened the door to let some air in. I realized once I came home I did not tip her enough!!! I will make sure to do so the next time I come back. I definitely plan on revisiting beauteous; their location was clean with easy parking and pretty prompt on time. Located in the plaza after The Camp. I've been coming here since last year for eyelash extensions and there's no other place I'd go. The vibe is calm, the atmosphere is clean. They have a comfy chair you can sit back and relax on while getting your lashes done. Just ask for a towel to help elevate your head if your neck begins to hurt. They provide bottled water, a soft throw for when you get cold, and talk you through everything they're going to do. It's quite relaxing and thanks to the classical music, I usually fall asleep. The process takes about 1 to 2 hours. I love the consultation they provide for new clients on lash options, after care, etc. All the lash techs are so sweet. I'm in love with my lashes!! They look so natural and feel so light. I've gone to other places in which they glued multiple lashes to my natural lash and it felt so heavy...it also caused my lashes to grow back unevenly :-( After emailing beauteous about an appointment, they called me back their next business day and setting up the appointment was so easy! Only down side was that I couldn't choose my technician (since I had a Groupon). After walking in, the receptionist checks you in and goes over the different types of lashes/styles you can choose from. Within minutes, I was seated in a small, white room and the technician (I think her name is Lu) allowed me to request adjustments and went over the options again with me. I quickly fell asleep and before I knew it, my extensions were done and I woke up a happy girl! I haven't had any trouble taking care of them so far so hopefully they last the full 3 to 4 weeks! HALLELUJAH PRAISE THE LORD! i HAVE EYELASHES LIKE A REAL WOMAN! Being a nearly hairless asian girl, I can't say how much joy my new eyelashes bring me! I have very little facial hair and everyday I have to draw on eyebrows and wear eyeliner and mascara to not look alien. Beauteous is the first eyelash salon I have been to and I am super happy with the results. The person that did my eyelashes was very nice. I loved how he asked me how thick and long I wanted my eyelashes. I'm one of those people that know exactly what they want but are too shy to say it haha. So I appreciated that he took the time to figure out exactly what I wanted. And when he was done putting them on, he asked me right away how I was feeling, if there was any discomfort. I believe the whole process took about an hour and a half? It was really relaxing, I fell asleep for half of it haha. I think that shows that he took the time to make sure my eyelashes were perfect because at the end, I could feel him going over the same areas to make sure everything was perfect. And it makes such a difference! When I went to work right after, soo many people noticed my lashes right away. The new lashes make me feel more girly (which is a feeling I often struggle with) and it takes a step out of my daily makeup routine. No more wearing mascara or even eyeliner yay! I'm so impressed with this place. My gal Mika (sp?) did a beautiful and meticulous job in about an hour! I thought I'd be here for two hours, and instead I power napped and woke up all kinds of fabulous. ::hair fluff:: I know several people who pay $200+ for the same services, especially because they swear Japanese salons are the best. So for the quality and care you get at beauteous, paying around $100 is very reasonable. They're not as cheap as the super cheap salons out there, but those extensions definitely don't last a long. (Trust me, I'm the queen of starting with the most wallet friendly options and working my way up.) For example, those places would tell me to expect lashes to fall out in about two weeks; meanwhile, Mika is telling me to come back for a great refill deal at four weeks. Also, does this happen to anyone else? She is quick and can apply a lot of lashes in an hour touch up. She is very thorough to remove any lashes that are about to fall off. The staff is friendly and the office is clean. I recommend pre-booking your touch ups Connie is very busy and it is hard to get a last minute appointment. I have not tried eyelash extensions before, but I have tried fake eyelashes for a wedding because I had to and probably will not wear them again. Eyelash extensions are the way to go! I bought a Groupon to this location to get them done for the holidays and I loved them! I got 100 eyelashes (50 on each eye) of the sexy style with the second choice of curl with .2 thickness (I think) and they looked pretty natural! With these it gives the look of minimal mascara without having to wear any and you also have a natural curl without having to use an eyelash curler! I was surprised at how much I really liked them and I think I'm going to go back to get regular touch ups which is recommended to do every 3-4 weeks otherwise you need another full set. Everyone is really nice and welcoming! The whole process is explained to you and they also have a book with info that they show you as the consultation goes on while looking at your options. I have never gotten my lashes done before and I am very particular with everything i get done from my hair, to my nails and I am very anal about them looking all natural. I did so much researching before I finally decided on Beauteous. Thank god I did because they did such an amazing job. Their salon is super nice, clean and well decorated. I came before Christmas time and they had a pink and white christmas tree that went well with their minimalist slate gray and white interior. I got them done with Andy and she was very nice and gentle and no burns at all whatsoever. I picked out the Sexy Style for my application and she did it beautifully. What I didn't realize though is that my almond eye shape (I'm Filipino) made the lashes on the outer corners get stuck with my bottom lashes. I called that same day and set up a fix-it appointment for the next morning and they were able to accommodate me 15 minutes before opening cause they were all booked up and my work schedule was conflicting with their free appointments. Yuki went ahead and fixed it the next day and because I was so particular, it even ate up the first 10 minutes of her first appointment (So sorry, Yuki). She took off some from the corners and applied them to the middle parts of my lid, and even added a little bit extra. I have an appointment this coming Friday and I can not wait for it. So if you want BEAUTIFUL and NATURAL looking lashes that make people think that you were just born with such gorgeousness, then Beauteous is definitely your spot!! read more

I found this place about 2 years ago with a Groupon. While I don't go as regularly as I would like, it is a fun way to get a glam look, and it lasts weeks. If this is your first visit, check out the pictures here and watch closely as you drive by - you will miss it if you don't know what you are looking for. A full set - about 100 lashes - takes about an hour to apply. The process itself is very easy and quite frankly, almost as relaxing as a massage. You lay back in a recliner with a cozy blanket, eyes closed (with tape on your lids), and they do all the work. I usually nap during the process. The lashes typically last 3-4 weeks, depending on how you take care of them (avoid getting them wet, gently pat dry if wet, don't rub or play with them). I got my last set in June right before I went on a 5 week vacation abroad, and Connie (whom I adore!!) put them on with special adhesive so they would last a little longer than the usual 3-4 weeks. They lasted my entire trip, a full 5 weeks. If you think you will go frequently, I suggest you get one of their prepaid cards. For $130, you get a card with a balance of $150. That's not quite a Groupon rate, but it's about a 13% discount. The first time I went, a man applied my lashes. The adhesive burned a little. A tried again with Connie (who my friend had), and she was amazing. My eyes never burn or have any irritation at all when she applies them. I bought my voucher from Groupon and thank god I didn't paid the full cost for the Groupon because it is not worth the price that they sell the Groupon for. I got the voucher for their "Sable Eyelash Extension for up to 140 eyelashes", so it is up to 70 lashes per eye. Let's talk about the good first shall we? GOOD: * I like that the establishment is clean, white, and open space. They have a sink with face wash and other amenities to cleanse your face before your eyelash extension session. * I do like the eyelash that they use because it is very light and soft so it makes it comfortable for every day wear. * I like the through explanation the receptionist provided regarding what to expect for my eyelash extension session. * My technician was Vera and she is pleasant. She did made some recommendation what curl pattern of the lash extension that i should use based on the shape of my eyes. NOT SO GOOD: * I agree with what the yelper said about Vera. I think she is a smoker because I can smell faint scent of smoke on her hands and clothes. * I choose the glamorous style with J Curl for my extension and the finished look was more natural than the glamorous style that I've selected. I wanted it to be more voluminous and fluffy. In conclusion, i would go back if they offer groupon price for return customer but to pay full price, probably not. read more

Update, unfortunately I have to dock this Salon a star. I've tried to come in for a fill and no one has been very helpful at all. I had a 6 o'clock appointment for this past Saturday and unfortunately could not make it because I had to attend a funeral in Arizona. I called last Monday and last Thursday trying to reschedule and cancel my appointment. I left voicemails both times and on Thursday I called during working hours. No one has called me back or tried to reach me or contact me to reschedule the appointment. We will see what happens this week. I'm getting to my week 4 and they start charging more after Week 4 for fills, so I'm wondering if this is how they like to practice business to get more money?
