I've been doing lashes with Mika since 2018. I did them for about 3-4 years straight then took an 8 month break during 2022 and now I'm back. Having lashes does make a big difference in my opinion. Mika usually takes about an hour and 15 mins for a full set and an hour to fill. She listens to what you want and does a nice job. Lashes can last up to 2 and half or 3 weeks if you maintain them well. Booking is pretty easy and pricing is average. If you plan on being a regular client, ask about packages. I've only had my lashes done once as they are usually too expensive to do, but they are priced very fairly at Em Lash. I drove from LA for that reason. I LOVED her work and her lovely personality. I have nice lashes to begin with but on a beach trip it's nice to not wear makeup. I'm very light haired so my lashes don't show up without mascara and even waterproof mascara ends up on my cheeks. I made an appointment with Mika for eyelash extensions, but when it came to my appointment, she would not honor my groupon. She kept saying I didn't purchase one even when I showed her visible proof on my phone. She kept forcing me to return the groupon and pay full price in order to get the service done. I ended up leaving, frustrated, with no eyelash service done on me. I drove 40 miles to see her and left with nothing but anger. I have been with Mika for a few months now and my lashes always look like real lashes due to the natural shape and length Mika picks for me to match with my one-and-a-half common Asian lids. The lashes do make my eyes stand out which I never appreciated before. Not only I am happy with the upper lashes, I also love my lower lashes too. She did a great job on my lower lashes which I have very few real ones. I feel like my eyes look like the eyes in my avatar now. Just moved to CA and have been in search for reasonably priced lash extensions- SO happy I found it!! Mika is really, really good. I had a horrible, painful experience with Lashes by Sophia in Irvine, had to get $180 volume lashes removed and Mika only charged $10 for it, took her time removing the glue and reapplied volume lashes the correct way. I will say it took longer than most lash places but it's because she's very meticulous, almost like a perfectionist which is what I would want from someone doing my lashes anyway. Total was $110 but I tipped $30 Bc she was great. Definitely check her out if you want extensions!!! read more
