The food is suffering from shrinkflation but that taste is delicious. I got it through grubhub so I can't speak on the ambiance. I got the spring rolls, steamed dumplings, pad see yew, pickled vegetables and special fish sauce (extremely spicy!).

Under the sparkling Christmas lights, my friend and I enjoyed the Wednesday special, Thai for Two. That's two appetizers, two entrees, a dessert, and a bottle of wine for $68. Between the two of us, there was plenty to eat and drink with some leftovers to take home! Appetizers: Duck Rolls and Larb Gai Entrees: Pad Pik King with chicken and Pad Se Ew with pork Dessert: Thai Tea Creme Brulee While the entire food menu is fair game the deal, the choices are more limited on the wine. We chose the only white wine they were offering. It was still good, but we wished we had a wider selection. My favorites were the Pad Se Ew and the Thai Tea Creme Brulee. The Pad Pik King and the sauce go great over rice. Watch out for the spice in the Larb Gai! The service was a great and the restaurant was big enough to walk in without a reservation, especially on a Wednesday night.

Love their happy hour with watercolors! So much fun with my husband and friends. The drinks are an amazing price and apps great to share. Will be back for all the different painting options! Took home their drunken noodles which tasted great b it a smaller portion than expected for the overall price. Stick to the happy hour drinks and painting.

The food here is consistently good. The dumplings were delicious and the Tom Yum was ah, very yummy. The restaurant is bright and clean with some nice architectural features and different seating areas. My server was friendly, delightful and attentive. Always a safe choice.

Got the spicy drunken noodles. Was quite good and decently spicy. Good service despite the place being busy. Like the restaurant layout.

Can't go wrong with pad thai! My friend also enjoyed the drunken noodles. Service was good and the food came out very quickly, like 5 minutes after ordering. Best part was dessert, don't skip the mango sticky rice. Atmosphere is nice, but most people do take out rather than dine in.

I have to say that I am so glad that my original plans fell through because I would not have had the opportunity to try out Beau Thai for the first time. Now, I have a go-to spot for my Thai needs whenever I'm in Shaw. The first thing I had, which I absolutely loved, was the Thai Chili Mango Margarita. This delicious beverage has a nice mixture of sweet and spicy. *Don't worry, the beverage is not THAT spicy.* The margarita is mixed with a Thai-chili-infused tequila, curaçao, mango, lime juice and agave. I do not know why, but the combinations of these flavors really worked for the beverage (and me). While I'm not ha huge fan of beverages with more than three ingredients, this margarita made me rethink my general rule. Beau Thai's food menu is huge, which made it hard to decide on what to eat. I decided to keep it easy and go with a couple appetizers. The first was the steam dumplings, which were amazing. The dumplings are filled with a mix of chicken, pork and shrimp. I'm not sure what was the sweet sauce that accompanied the dumplings, but I need to have more of it. I thought the nine dollar price tag was fine for the dumplings. My other appetizer was the pork belly ($10), which was served with a spicy lime sauce and thin rice noodles. I also had an order of fried rice because I did not know that the pork belly was served with rice noodles. Overall, the service was above average because the woman bartender was on top of everything. She never left me hanging or waiting too long for a drink refill. While the food was delicious, I thought it took a little longer than expected for the food to arrive to my section of the bar. Ok, so it was not a super long wait. However, I caught myself thinking: Hmmm, the food probably should have been served by now. Perhaps, the restaurant makes things to order instead of reheating certain items. That (very) minor issue aside, I really look forward to returning again and trying more things on the menu...especially the cocktail menu.

The vibe of this restaurant was very chill. Its a cute and trendy with what appear to be family photos on the tables and around the walls. The service was very awkward. It felt like the waitress was new. It took a long time to get water and even longer to finally put in the order for drinks and appetizers and even longer to put in the food order because she wouldn't take it with the appetizers. We had a couple drinks that were all terrible, but the food was pretty good. The spring rolls were overpriced for essentially three rolls they sliced in half for some reason. The pork belly was super delicious! Highly recommend grabbing it if you stop by. Pad Thai was delicious but it did have a pile of peanut crumbs on the side, which was a strange garnish or topping its unclear. The drunken noodles were a 8 level spicy. Nose running spice level, but the flavor was good. Finally the red curry was also quite tasty. Overall, if you're looking for an ok thai spot, this place is a good stop.

    Yellow Curry
    Tova W.

Ordered the empanada as appetizer but it was the same as a curry puff at other Thai restaurants. Thai ice tea was good. The yellow curry wasn't too spicy and the sauce was delicious. The prices were surprisingly not bad for being in dc (around $17-$20/dish and $9-10 for appetizers) Lots of seating. We went when it wasn't crowded and got seated immediately. There was no music playing, so you can hear people near you. Parking available on the street.

    Bobbi D.

Great experience all around... I originally ordered pickup but then it got cold outside and I had a little one with me so I asked to dine in and they graciously put the food on plates for me and even got the little one a coloring book and crayons! The garden spring rolls were amazing! I'll be back!

    Curtis J.

The music was great and we were seated quickly. The server was pretty attentive and our food came out pretty quickly as well. We were grabbing lunch on a Sunday so it wasn't very busy but the food was very good. It's a very nice casual dining spot and if I happen to be in the area again I would happily stop by in the mood for Thai. I had the painting Curry which was flavorful with a nice touch of spice and heat. No complaints here!

Not saying that dining companions are distracting, but I felt like I could fully experience the flavor of both the Taglioni Neri and Gnocchi, both half portions at $10 each, better on my own. When the dishes came, I saw that the sauces were both red and feared they would taste too similar. After one fork full of each, they are quite clearly distinct. The standout in the Neri were the shellfish for me. Even though they were small bits, the pieces tasted fresh. In the Gnocchi, the saltiness of the prosciutto, though not overwhelming, paired well with the basil sauce. I finished a little more than half of each plate before boxing it up for a small lunch the next day. The service was great and the tall ceiling and windowed dining room provided a nice atmosphere. However, when we walked in and saw only a couple of tables occupied, I had a feeling it might not live up to its appearance. Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 4/5 Service - 3/5 Food - 1/5 Parking - Street Parking Atmosphere - The restaurant is modern, clean, and well maintained. The dining room is attractive and comfortable, and it feels much more upscale than your average Korean restaurant. Service - Service was adequate. Nothing stood out as particularly good or bad. The staff took our order, brought out the food, and checked on us occasionally. What We Ordered - -Galbi - At over $40, this was by far the most disappointing dish of the meal. I've had galbi at countless Korean restaurants, many of which charge under $30 while delivering significantly better flavor and quality. The seasoning was noticeably different from what I'm accustomed to, and not in a good way. For the price, it felt extremely underwhelming. -Pa Jeon - Just okay. It was a standard Korean pancake that didn't stand out in any particular way. -Tofu Stew - We ordered it mild, but it was surprisingly spicy and excessively salty. The saltiness overwhelmed most of the other flavors in the dish. -Korean Fried Chicken - Unfortunately, this suffered from the same issue. The chicken itself was decent, but it was far too salty, making it difficult to enjoy. Final Thoughts - The biggest issue for me was the value. Nearly every dish felt overpriced for the quality being served, and the excessive saltiness across multiple items made the meal even more disappointing. While the restaurant looks great and has a modern atmosphere, the food simply did not justify the prices. Considering how many excellent Korean restaurants I've been to over the years, this was one of the more disappointing experiences. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.
