Honestly to say this place is GROSS is an understatement. Soap out in the bathrooms, floors and walls look like they have never been cleaned. The drinks were very weak for the price. The server we're actually very nice and probably the best part of the experience. Would recommend hiring cleaners. It makes me concerned about the ice machine! read more

You know what I discovered yesterday? 1.) While I have been to karaoke once before, I definitely had the time of my life while doing it at Beats Karaoke and that 2.) I love karaoke overall as it is truly addictive-lol. Add the fact that I was going to engage in this activity with two great people (Kemi A. and Mei.C.) that I always have fun with and it summed up to everyone enjoying themselves! Beats Karaoke is located in Williamsburg conveniently across the street from Williamsburg Cinema. The first floor has a bar area that you can order drinks from while singing karaoke as the words form on the large tv screen placed there. It was quiet and not busy when we walked in so staff allowed us to be placed in one of the larger karaoke rooms that Mei selected (seats around 10 people). There are multiple karaoke rooms of various sizes great for a date with someone, couples, small and larger groups. We were very comfortable as we had space to spread out and it allowed us to be able to dance while we sang/rapped....Yes, we busted out our best dance moves-lol. When you check-in on Yelp, you receive a free liquor shot. Beats Karaoke also has a drink menu. You are able to bring in outside food so we munched on some while taking turns individually singing as well as "performing" in duos as well as a trio. Beats Karaoke has lighting settings, disco balls, etc. that create the illusion that you are at a disco party-lol. Inside of each karaoke room is a tv screen so you can sing/rap words.of the songs, some tamborines, microphones and music books listing various songs by artist as well as by title of the song. Once we looked into the books and selected songs, we had to press the numbered code into the remote that identifies that song so that the music and words will appear. Boy did we sing and rap, rap, rap-lol. Everything from Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, Rihanna, Monica, Vanilla Ice (Yes, definitely Ice, Ice Baby-lol), Nick Jonas, Bruno Mars, Britney Spears, Bell, Biv, Devoe-(Yes to song Poison any day), DMX, 50 Cent and of course my favorite Prince....Yes, karaoke is addictive!-lol. We had a two hour time slot....one minute we were about 15 minutes into our session and the next thing I know we only had 4 minutes left! So what did we do? We ended with Montell Jordan "This Is How We Do It" because that is how we roll-lol. Beats Karaoke was a good place for us to do karaoke....Cannot wait until the next time! read more

Website says private rooms are $30/hr for up to 3 people, with an additional $10/hour per additional person. Walked in here on a Saturday night and they tried to sell us a room for $120/hr. Only 3 people in my party: me, Lisa, and Mark. Next time, I tried to call and make a reservation for a Saturday night. They wanted to charge $40/hour for 3 people despite what the website says. Everybody betrayed me. I fed up with this world. read more

Unfortunately they only let people sing who sit there and monopolize the songs. They don't care if new people walk in with new business. The bartenders take shots on the clock. It's overall a mess and a crapshoot if you'll even get to sing a single song at the bar. Oh by the way, cash only for some unknown reason. Yeah. Enter at your own risk. read more

Best karaoke ever. We are addicted. They are so nice and have a great selection! The staff is truly the most amazing. read more

Cute hidden karaoke bar! Cash only! Every drink you buy is another song you can sing. Get there early

I love karaoke! I'm not so sure I like to embarrass myself per se but I enjoy seeing others sing. On occasion booze has been known to convince me that I should have been a punk rock star. Damn you booze! This particular Monday I had a hankering for karaoke and I was not impressed. You have to pay for a room here which is fine but my posse was only 3 people. I was also feeling under the weather. There was already a couple and a group of girls at the bar. I thought that's cool. All the small groups can be one big group. Boy was I wrong. There were two bartenders and they encouraged everyone to sing. We had no idea every song cost money! We bought a couple pitchers and we thought the over priced pitcher would cover our songs. Then if that wasn't bad enough... the mic was barely on. I get it it's a neighborhood. But maybe you should sound proof this place and let people have fun. It made me miss the old people/townie dives where people can got sloshed and sing beauties like Billy Joel's You May Be Right or Dolly Parton's 9-5. Save your money and go elsewhere! read more

I enjoyed my time there. It was my first time going to this spot. It was okay. I liked our private room. And they had some good old songs! They don't have a hard alcohol license which we didn't know about prior to going but they had wine which my friends and I still enjoyed. The reason I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of how we were told we had to leave. When we got there we were told that we could have the room for as long as we wanted but then we were told that we had to leave when we reached 2 hours. Whole we were singing a song we were told that it was our last song. We didn't get a warning prior to singing the song. My friends and I were a bit disappointed because we were enjoying ourselves. It wasn't packed as if they needed the room which made us feel uncomfortable. Otherwise it was a good place. read more

Beats Karaoke - Karaoke Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Karaoke in Willamsburg Brooklyn? I'm gamed. Had a great time singing our hearts out and belting our favorite tunes. Reserved a week in advance a private room for an early Sunday weekend (It's cheaper). Got there as they opened and the waitress let's me select room sizes for our private Ktv experience. As we got down to the basement level; there are at least eight rooms to choose from. Since I could pick and choose I decided on the midsize for me and my Yelp ladies. The room includes disco strub lights and some tamberines for added fun. Song selection is pretty vast ranging from the massive Beatles collection to R&B, 90's hip-hop and the newest current tracks. There's a little timer on the tv screen as the room is set to expire in two hours. Outside food is allowed and the wait staff helps with the clean up afterwards. You cannot bring your own liquor. Overall, it's a fun time with your friends and family. read more

Really great Happy Hour special for karaoke private room and beer/wine! The decor is nice and the hostess was so sweet and welcoming. Loved the fries and chili hot wings combo (perfect blend of sweet and spicy). The song selection is not *the best* but it's pretty darn good. Nice sized rooms and def a great place for a fun time! read more

My husband LOVES karaoke and wanted to celebrate his birthday by doing so. We had an amazing time! The staff was so friendly and so accommodating. Although the time says they close at 12, they are flexible in their closing hours. We didn't leave until almost 2AM and they did not rush us. They allowed us to bring in outside food and alcohol because they do not have a full bar, which was amazing! Overall, we had a great time and will definitely be back again! Next time, we will bring our kids! read more

We love it! Good sound, good rooms, spacious, we don't drink alcohol so will not advise you on prices (although there are happy hours from 5 to 7 pm) but for room rent there is a limit of 3 people, so if there are two of you, you will still pay as for 3. Put 4 stars because did not find some songs. read more

THIS IS A LOVELY PLACE TO GO AND SING BUT THEY CLOSE TOO EARLY We really enjoy going here and sing Karaoke often all over the city and in Williamsburg. They have a great book of songs but they close way way too early. Guys, you could be making money hand over fist if you stayed open until 4AM on weekend (at least in the rooms) and 2AM on weeknights. You should consider it. It's actually necessary. People would come after they go to other bars and you'd have an entire other night of business and revenue as some like to have a couple drinks as an appetizer before singing. That's kind of the model in my humble opinion and I know we would have stayed until 4AM on several occasions and bought many more pitchers of beer and whatnot if we would have been allowed to. Please consider this. Thank you! read more

Had a reservation for 10pm and didnt get in our reserved room until 11pm although they appropriately tried to make it up to us. Ground floor has bar with free open karaoke with decent dance area. Downstairs in the basement several private rooms - we had a large clean enough space with glitchy mics. Had a good time for about 9$ per person per hour or something like that. read more

SUCH A VIBE! KRIS IS A BEAUTIFUL SOUL!!! Great drinks, great prices, I love the karaoke, cant wait to come back!

#Very reasonable prices for beer in the bar side for a karaoke bar in a Williamsburg bar. They let me and my friends sing a song from someone who didn't claim it. It was Sweet Dreams. Started singing #Eurythmics. Turns out it wasn't the Eurythmics, but it kind of worked in a haunting way. read more

Got here at 11p and had a reservation for 7 people. Got a nice and big room and a free round of soju- super friendly service. Then we got kicked out at midnight because the place was closing due to noise complaints by neighbors. Honestly, don't bother coming here unless you start super early like 6 or 7p and plan to leave early way before midnight. read more

This place makes life worth living. Just no bullshit karaoke with fairly priced drinks.

This place is so welcoming and so worth coming to. My wife loved spending her birthday here ! Thanks beats

I was really disappointed with this place. I came on a Monday night, and there were about 5 other people at the bar. We were given a piece of paper and picked a song. The mics were on, but they had turned the volume WAY down. Like can't even hear yourself in the mic at all. It was basically people just singing at the bar and the microphone was acting as a prop. We asked about this and were told that the mics were working and the volume was fine. We asked a few other times, because part of the fun of karaoke is using a sound system. They eventually admitted they had been getting noise complaints and would not turn it up any louder. Really? They really should have thought of this when they opened a karaoke bar. The bartender kept doling out song tickets, three or four at a time. We had zero idea you had to pay per song. Apparently you get a free song per drink, and we had a few pitchers. I figured based on the fact that the bar was empty and that she was pushing the songs on us, they were included. We had a really big bill at the end and it seemed a little sneaky. All in all, I won't come back even though there aren't any other similar places in the area. read more

Very interesting place...to say the least. One drink = buys you a song at this karaoke bar. The staff is very polite & very Asian and applaud you even though you probably didn't deserve it. It's kind of cool to see a noraebang (karaoke bar with private rooms) with a communal bar where everyone can just sing without renting a room. I have never seen that before. I suppose Americans just have to warm up to the idea of noraebang. They have a very wide song selection and it's a good place to make new friends if your on Grand St. Would I ever come here again? ONLY if I drink enough Jameson. Beers run about $5.00 a pop which is standard in this hood. read more

LOVE this place. Such a good vibe. Great crowd with great energy. Crowd participation karaoke by the bar is so much fun. Really cool spot to come and unwind and chill, especially is you're looking for a lowkey, fun/cool place to hang on Williamsburg. read more

To be honest I'm not a big fan of Karaoke but stopped in a few weeks ago to meet a friend and ended up having a good time with some fellow crooners at the bar! They have good drink prices and I'm pretty sure you get a free song with your first order. I didn't see a food option but I'm sure like most bars you could bring it in or get it delivered. The interior is pretty open and unassuming with private rooms on 2 levels for larger groups. The staff was really friendly and it seems like a cool addition to the neighborhood. If i'm with some friends or coworkers and looking for something different to do this seems like a nice option. I would write more but it appears Yelp does not like my review so I thought I'd be as generic as possible to inform the public about an establishment in the area I live. I guess I thought that was the point of the website. read more

This is just a review of the bar, not the private rooms. Went in at about 8:30 on a Friday night. Not many folks were there, but everyone at the bar was having a good time, egging each other on. The staff was super friendly and there was a Buy a Drink, Get a Song deal going on. Not too bad. But the thing is, you could've heard someone fart on the other side of the room. The volume was so low, on both the speakers and the mic, that unless you were actually screaming, it sounded like whispering. The bartender explained that they received too many noise complaints to actually turn the speakers or mic up. Wait a second. Is this karaoke bar? Not really. Not unless you wanted to do a conversational-rendition of 'I Would Do Anything For Love'. The hand dryer in the bathroom down the hall was louder than the music coming out of the speakers. And if you think I am exaggerating, by all means, go check it out for yourself. I bet the private rooms are more fun. The song selection is pretty rad. $6 for a draft beer. All in all, this place could be a good time. But until they turn the music up and stay open later - this place is gonna be the biggest let down for anyone itching to belt out a tune with friends. You should just pay for the cab to Insa, in Gowanus. Not only is the food good, the wine great and the scorpion bowl deadly, but the rooms are bad ass and the prices fair. Beats is three thumbs down. read more

My friends and I went here last night and sang in the public area, not a private room. Decent drink prices for wine, beer, and soju with a good song selection of both old and new. Love that songs are searchable on-line, no rummaging through heavy books! Our primary complaint, and we understand it to be located underneath some apartments, is that rather than turn the music down, they turn the microphones down, which rather defeats the goal. We could barely hear anyone sing. We already had to shout over the music to have a conversation, so we'd rather have the music turned down. Would totally give this place four or five stars if they fix the audio issue! The staff was friendly and attentive, plus the wood and rope decor is a wonderful reprieve from the dank KTV places in Manhattan. read more

This place is great, but how do they close at midnight on a Friday? Please consider staying open later...

I just went to beats karaoke for the first time today and I love the bartenders and the waiters it's a friendly environment here. Highly recommend to come here 100/100. It's the place to come to make new friends, chill, grab a drink, and get lit. Also it's cash only at the bar from 7pm so don't forget to bring cash if anything there's an atm machine in the karaoke place read more

this place was fun. went for a birthday. it's $9/hour for karaoke and (major plus) you can bring your own bottle of liquor. they serve food, korean bbq. i've had way better korean bbq. this place korean wings are mostly batter, it's a LOT to actually get to the meat. the fries are good. the major con for me is the walls are super thin. i could hear the room next to me as clear as day as if they were in the same room. kind of takes away but other than that it's pretty good. they have a good song selection as well read more
