The White Claw + tequila shot combo that I remembered having not too long ago here is no longer on the menu, so I decided to just go with a mixed drink (which is still only something like $8 for a well) and stick with that. For every drink you drink, you get a free personal pizza which you redeem with the pizza guys. Plain pizzas come out pretty quick, but if you want a topping (for a $1) it's a bit more of a wait. Free mini personal pizza with each drink? Say less. We came here to start off the night around 8pm on a Saturday. It was crowded, but the bartenders worked really quick to get everyone's orders. I had shots and mixed drinks throughout the night where we accumulated so many pizza tickets. Mixed drinks were $9 and they had 4 shot deals for only $25. There's also a variety of beer and shot deals all for under $10. Seriously, it's such a good deal to come drink here. For each drink, you also get a red ticket to claim a mini personal pizza. For the pizza, head over to the pizza oven and say how many cheese pizza you want and hand over the tickets. Note that you can only order one pizza per person at a time, so you can get it for the whole group or saving it for later. Despite that, the pizzas came out quick! I tried two different IPA ones, and they both tasted great. The beer prices were not that expensive either. The Alligator Lounge is a great (and super cheap) spot! I've been several times for their Monday night trivia at 8pm which is always a good time. Be warned though that the trivia does tend to run rather long and usually takes around 3 hours. They also have a pool table! But the real reason you should come to this place is because every drink comes with a free personal pizza. Even $5 beers include a pizza! This place feels inflation-proof and you really can't find a better deal anywhere else. They have skee-ball? And karaoke? And pool? But the real draw is the pizza. It is fascinating to me that every shot or drink one orders you're given a ticket for a free personal pie. It's not good pizza and is mostly crust, but it's still a free personal pizza pie each time you order a drink. You pay extra for any toppings you want and you're allowed one per person at a time-they can get a bit backed up so you may have to wait if it's busy. Would absolutely come back to this bar for this perk alone. But the drink we ordered (gator-ade) was actually really tasty, especially for the price. When my partner and I watched The Rehearsal last summer, we decided immediately that we had to check this place out to see what it was all about! It took us quite a few months but we finally made it last weekend. Maybe it was the fact that we had come at 11pm on a Saturday (instead of the Tuesdays "depicted" in the show), but it was super packed and not quite our scene. Drinks were pretty cheap which was great ($8-$12 cocktails) and as the reviews state, free pizza with every drink! We ended up paying $1 each for toppings (make sure you get the right ticket, as this originally led to confusion with the pizza makers). I have no idea how I haven't ever written a review for this place. It's legendary. Especially with Crocodile Lounge (Manhattan same format bar) now being gone after the pandemic and shutdowns galore. My boyfriend wanted to go here after a Yelp event and I have no idea how he convinced me into a 30 minute hike over on a school night but it happened. The beers are still ridiculously cheap. $6 on not happy hour hours?! What?! When can I move in? The draft selection isn't crap either. You obviously also get a free cheese pizza with every pint order. Which we indulged in sharing one. It was better than it used to be because I think I had a ranking system of all the free pizza bars. Came here for 8 pm trivia on a Monday with a group of 9. When we arrived at 7:30 pm, the only tables available were outside. This ended up a bad idea; people would smoke in the outdoor seating area, making for an unpleasant experience. Drinks were affordable enough for Williamsburg at $9 or so for each cocktail. I got The Nathan Fielder, and it only mildly tasted of alcohol, which is my personal preference honestly. You also get a free pizza slice ticket with a drink! Trivia-wise, Alligator Lounge has to be at the bottom of all my trivia experiences. The first two rounds were fine but they became too challenging after that. We could seldom hear the host; the mic was very loud but the audio quality was poor / background commotion interfered. They played songs that acted as clues, but you could barely hear them--though most people in our group couldn't discern what they were anyway when we tried. I can understand why it's been made so difficult; you can tell from the lightning rounds that patrons here are frequent trivia goers. The trivia host arrived 15 minutes late and was way too self promoting, with his Venmo on the answer sheet and constantly bringing up his Venmo handle and a bonus trivia question related to his Instagram stories. Additionally, there was way too much time in between rounds. At the end, we gravitated to the pool tables and had a bit of fun there. read more

Disclaimer: I am an unabashed fan of Nathan Fielder. As such, I was definitely predisposed to love Alligator Lounge after seeing it on The Rehearsal. BUT, I am also a fan of cheap drinks, free(!) pizza, and bar trivia. So I'd say a 5-star rating is objectively deserved. My group came for trivia on a Monday at 8pm (not 9pm like their website says) and arrived about 25 minutes early to secure a table. All the tables in the front room are fairly small, but there are some longer ones in the back, where you can still hear and participate in trivia. I ordered a Nathan Fielder ($9) and a Blue Moon draft ($6) and collected my two free personal pizzas. They were light and flavorful. Honestly amazing that such high quality pizza comes with every drink. My only complaint on the night is that trivia runs slowly. Be prepared to be there for ~3 hours.
