This is an our favorite restaurant in DeKalb. We normally order the various noodle dishes but the appetizers are also worth trying as well. Egg rolls, chicken wings, fried tofu, spring rolls, pot stickers etc. She frequently has specials depending on the day. I like the catfish on Fridays, and special noodle dishes on Saturdays. My partner had called over the phone to ask about their Pho since we had never been and it was in their website. Bea answered the phone and then I guess got irritated and handed the phone to someone else. He is very kind and tells us the price but he fails to mention that they only serve Pho once a week. My partner had came in with the Pho in mind so when I try to order it, Bea immediately goes "We don't have that today, only once a week." That's fine- I wish they would've let us know over the phone when we had called ahead. So we ask for a few more minutes and she offers to let us try their soup of the day. I politely decline and say we had the Pho in mind and we'll just need a little more time. She interrupts me while I'm telling her this and goes "If you don't like it, you can go somewhere else." LMAO Alright we will! I wouldn't feel good about giving this establishment any of my money or time in the future. read more

Cool little place for Asian food. It's one of the best places in DeKalb and easy to miss. Bea's Wok N Roll is on the north side of town away from downtown. Just an unassuming place. There's some good vegan and vegetarian choices among the noodles and rice. A lot of items either come with noodles or rice as the base. It often gives you the choice. The noodles are wide and thick. Came last time and it wasn't busy. We got the Tofu And Vegetables. It's $15, which is kind of a lot. The portion isn't real big but it's not small. I got it with noodles. She got it with rice. Had a good amount of spice in it. The noodles were kind of sticky but okay. Good fast yet authentic Thai and Asian. It's kind of expensive for all you get. I work in a large office group and we used to order from Bea often but the past few times she was very rude and condescending on the phone when we had questions about certain dishes and also the quality of the food has gone down and the prices have gone up a lot- for these reasons she has lost about 25 customers read more

We both has Stir fry, she had beef and I had shrimp, I love Crab Rangoon and the have it and they have a Spicy Rangoon. I never had it before but we other both, when I tell you that everything we had was good, including the water, how often do you hear anybody talking about the taste of water at a restaurant? The food is pretty good but kind of pricey, that being said everything is now thanks to Biden. I tip well, but when Bea states "you leave me a big tip" while I am paying for my meal it is more than a little off putting. That's extremely rude and entitled imho. I was not familiar with the town and came to restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. I ordered their chicken satay and pad Thai. Both were completely different than what I had ever had in both ingredients and taste. Don't know if it was more the traditional Vietnamese cuisine but it wasn't what I expected. With the Satay the peanut sauce was missing or I didn't recognize it and didn't taste it. Either way, I didn't finish the plate. Same thing with the pad Thai. However, the vegetables were very fresh and good except I was missing the expected tastes. The noodles weren't what you would have expected. They were spaghetti noodles. Again, it simply could be my lack of ever ordering these dishes in a Vietnamese restaurant. I did take the leftover pad Thai home and reheated it for dinner and added chili oil which was very good. I should not have ordered Thai food in a Vietnamese restaurant. My apologies. I would go back to give it another chance but keep to their traditional dishes. read more

On a recent trip to visit my in-laws for the Holidays, they suggested that we get Bea's carryout for dinner. The rest of the family are HUGE Bea's fans and I love a good Asian dish so was happy to check out a new place! First of all, the portions were MASSIVE. We had an extra person show up for dinner that hadn't ordered their own meal and there were still leftovers! About half of those who ordered meals went with mild and the other half of us did medium. Medium definitely has a "kick" to it! In a good way! It was easy to tell which orders were medium because there was a nice little dollop of chillis on top. I had the shrimp and rice which was delicious as was the shrimp and noodles! Good amount of veggies with the meal. One item I was really surprised by was the cheese stuffed shrimp. It was almost like a shrimp rangoon as it was shrimp and cheese wrapped inside a spring roll wrapper and fried. VERY tasty! I was not overly impressed by the crab rangoon but would love to try the spicy crab rangoon the next time we get dinner there. read more

The dumpling appetizer was overcooked to the point of being hard and filled with what tasted like a ridiculous amount of black pepper. The crab rangoon was borderline tasteless and was basically just deep fried unflavored cream cheese.
