Fast service but the food was horrible. Chicken Fried steak was over cooked, sausage gravy tasted canned and over salted, home fries were just deep fried potatoe chunks with no flavor. There was no notice that it is a cash only establishment. Had to pay a fee in order to get cash out to pay for substandard food. The fee was almost as much as the tip. I was so disappointed. Pros - We were seated immediately, servers were pretty friendly (even though we were tourists in an obvious 'locals' joint), the food was good tasting and they had decent-sized portions. Cons - They take cash only (even though Yelp says they take credit cards), we asked for our muffins to come out before our main meal. They didn't come until we were almost done with our meals, which was frustrating as we had starving kids with us. The restaurant is in a strip mall (lacking ambiance) and is in need of a good facelift. Seat cushions are torn up, wallpaper is old, and the place smelled like old people. One of the only places that were open on a Thursday so we were happy to see this place open. Everyone was happy with our breakfast meals - good portions and good variety of options as well. Up for a weekend recently, and just before nodding off on Friday night a commercial for Bea's Cafe came on. Timely advertising indeed. Next morning we found it on yelp, and made our way there. Busy, but the place is bigger than it looks as you park in the strip-mall it resides in. The five of us were quickly seated, and coffee and chocolate milks got there as we were ready to order. A couple of us got pancakes (blueberry and choco-chip) which were large and fluffy. Bagel breakfast sandwich looked good. Two egg, ham and cheese sauce scrambles. Toast was thick and looked homemade. Everything was very good, prepared quickly and fueled us for a loooong day of tubing. But that's a different review... I'll return to Bea's the next time I'm up that way. read more

I wanted to post an update because I found out that the server is actually one of the owners. That explains why he (JT) felt so comfortable scolding a customer about her facial expression in front of everyone in the restaurant. All I can think is, if the owner behaves like an overly dramatic teenage girl, then how are the staff going to behave? Absolutely fantastic food. Stopped for breakfast on the way up and the food and service was just fantastic. They have regulars in there in the morning laughing and starting there day off with stories and laughter. The owner is great and the cook made a great breakfast... It seems most people park in the back so the front didn't look busy until I walked in and saw the patrons eating and that's where I noticed all the cars where parked...definitely a go to place for a great breakfast....Thanks ! read more

Bea's had reasonable prices and lots of choices. I ordered over medium eggs and got 1 that was nearly cooked through and 1 that was nearly raw in the yolk. I had blueberry pancakes here and they were delicious! This is a small little eatery in a strip mall but it is definitely worth checking out. Moved to Conway recently so we are trying places out to get to know them. I don't really expect much and I'm not picky. I don't complain often and can especially appreciate that most places are understaffed, overworked, or just generally have bad days. The food was just poor. So when I called the location with concerns, I wasn't looking for much other than "Hey, we're sorry, its been rough. But we hope you try us again sometime." etc. What I got was someone on the other line who got super defensive before I even described the food I got. I was told because I was late picking up the food that it was 'my fault' and that I probably shouldn't order food there anymore. M'kay lol. Were we late on picking up our order? Sure. But they did not inform me as to how busy they were and when the food would be ready. They also did not ask how I wanted my eggs. They did ask me how I wanted the steak cooked to which I answered medium. So I gave them about 20 minutes and ended up being a little later since Lowe's had a long line. So the food was cold, sure. But that wasn't one of my complaints and I actually don't mind cold food. So we ordered 2 steak and eggs today, what we got was: Meat that was well done with no flavor. My husband swore the meat might have been out of date as it tasted 'off'. I know that me being late should not have affected the quality or done-ness of the meat. If you leave a steak to rest, it will normally go maybe a few degrees above the heated temperature before it's taken off. This meat just looked plain over cooked and rubbery. The menu online I looked at also said ribeye steak and we got what looked to be cheaper quality but the price wasn't? Eggs that had no salt or flavor at all. When I was trying to explain to the person that they didn't taste right and it was probably because they were missing salt or something, I was told it's not 'their job to salt the eggs'...ok lol Toast that was burned and I mean charcoal black- the toast was flipped to make it look not burned when we picked up the order. I was told this was because we ordered gluten free bread almost as a 'what do you expect' reply. If you don't know how to cook gluten free bread don't offer it? I really haven't run into this issue anywhere else. I make my own gluten free bread at home sometimes, there's really nothing special about it...just watch it like you do any other bread and like...don't burn it? Hash browns that had no seasoning or salt on them. Have you ever had unseasoned potatoes? It tasted like wall paper paste. There is not one grain of salt to be had in this place unfortunately. So I am going to take the advice of the manager I talked to and just not order from there anymore. What I did do instead is find a better place to order from where I normally get tacos, and when I talked to the person there, they offered to cook a breakfast bowl for me next time I come in...even though they don't do breakfast any more! By the way, she thought the food and service I got at Bea's was 'disgusting' too... So just in case you want to take the manager's advice too, here's places I have tried that are absolutely amazing: Met Cafe- Awesome coffee and breakfast food. As well as an adorable gift shop that I have spent far too much money in already ^_^ Frontside coffee- awesome coffee flavors, I tried maple cream and it was really great 27 North- Just go there...it's so awesomely great I can't list all the reasons why. Look them up! Stairway Cafe- Their game breakfast sausages are really unique and tasty. Well worth the wait if there is one. Luchador Tacos- These tacos are so good sometimes we even order for breakfast. This is the manager that offered a nice breakfast that they dont make anymore. The people here are super sweet and the ingredients are so fresh. Please try them! Go to Bea's at your own risk, because if you have any concerns, they will somehow be your fault. Don't believe me? Just look at some of the low ratings in google reviews where they actually answer. Or heck wait around, maybe they'll answer mine with the amount of hostility and indifference I got over the phone. No organization with managing customers who are waiting. They could not tell how long the wait was. They did not even keep a list of who was next to get a table. They need a host. We left without eating because we did NOT want to deal with the disorganization. It may work for some people, but not us. This restaurant definitely lost our business. Good luck. read more

The waiter was a hoot. The lobster roll was very good. However being from Georgia I am no expert. It was good lunch. The one thing I would not recommend is the ice tea. Being from Georgia I can speak about ice tea. This is not their fault, I have found very little ice tea north of Virginia that I like. read more

We have been going to Bea's for a long time and the food is the best I have had in the valley. The staff there are wonderful. Our favorite server is Carolyn Potter who is always friendly and has a nice smile. She makes sure we are completely satisfied at our table. There is one waitress there we try to avoid at all cost. She never smiles and makes us real uncomfortable when she waits on us. She never smiles and acts like she is annoyed that we are there. Sarah Wentworth is excellent also. read more

I come here so often with a group of my friends that they started to know our orders. Very friendly staff, awesome food, great prices. Breakfast out that tastes amazing for under $10. If you are bringing kids and it's a little chilly outside (or in, they AC in the summer) get a hot chocolate, they make it so cute for kids and even adults. My order is usually either chocolate chip pancakes or eggs with toast and home fries and they're both to die for. One of my friends really likes the French toast and the corn beef hash.
