    One with the apples.

My fiancé and I absolutely LOVE Beardsley Cider Mill and Orchard! There is plenty of parking and the staff are so friendly and kind. Check their website to see which apples are available for picking on your desired weekend and show up when they open! Beardsley gets a ton of business and the later you show up, the more crowded it is. A bag to go apple picking costs $20 (they no longer price by weight). It seems a bit steep to charge $20 for one bag so we stuffed the bag as much as we could. My fiancé ended up ripping the bag and the staff were kind enough to replace it (with a joke about being greedy, of course ha). Don't forget to grab a dozen (or more) of their apple cider donuts (also priced at $20/dozen) before leaving. These are the best apple cider donuts in the state! I would love to try their spiked cider someday but they open at 3pm and we go first thing in the morning. In short, Beardsley is the best place to go to for apple picking and apple cider donuts!

Stopped in this afternoon and picked up a pumpkin pie. Still hot, just came out of the oven. Also purchased an Apple Cider Donut to snack on during the ride home -- it was excellent, probably the best Apple Cider Donut we've ever had, very flavorful. Had the pie later that night, it was very good, tasty. Looking forward to sampling more pies from Beardsley Cider Mill & Orchard in the future. A strong 4 Star rating.

Love this place! The apple cider donuts are very good and they even have gluten free ones which is great. Looking forward to going apple picking here and going to the distillery which I've heard great things about

Keep in mind that there is a "Jones Family Farm Pumpkinseed Hill" at 120 Beardsley Rd., and then the "Jones Valley Farm/Jones Winery" at 606 Walnut Tree Rd. My GPS accidentally took me to the Pumpkinseed Farm at first, but it wasn't a big deal because the winery is just a few minutes away. Once I was in the right place, a staff member greeted me and gave me the wine/food menu. They have a lot of different areas to sit, including a patio with tables/umbrellas (where they had live music playing), a pavilion with tables underneath, an upper patio that was covered by a pergola with leaves/vines on top, and an inside bar area with seating. The inside bar area has garage doors that were open, leading out to the upper patio. Even though it was a hot day, I sat under the pergola and it was surprisingly cool underneath! After sitting down, a staff member quickly came over and took my drink/food order. I tried a glass of the Sunshine White, which was delicious! It was on the sweeter side though. Keep in mind that they only sell wine by the glass on the menu, but they do have a store where you can buy bottles to go. I also ordered the Simply Cheese Plate, which came with sharp cheddar cheese, Jones Berry Chutney, and sea salt crackers. This was excellent! They also do have a "Light Fare" menu with things like a hummus plate, cheesecake, popcorn, etc. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. They had a "Bouquet Bar" set up where you could buy fresh cut flowers, as well as a small gift shop. Overall a very cool winery in Shelton, I would definitely recommend!

It is quite large and takes my family of 4 adults a long time to pick, so take that into consideration when deciding what sized basket/box you get. In addition, since the large box can fit so much, be prepared to bake with your fruit or feed many hungry guests!

Of all the sites we visited, this was the stand out. The fruits and vegetables are incredible... literally picture-perfect and bursting with flavor. In addition, the stand has lots of homemade products like mango salsa, horseradish mustard, and the like. These specialty items are delicious! Oh, and don't forget to pick up some of their homemade preserves. My husband and I practically overdosed on peach preserves! There is a beautiful outdoor area where kids can play, which also makes the stand a nice destination for families. Last but not least, the staff that works here is so friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them.

During the time of COVID, I don't particularly like that I can't pick up a head of cauliflower or cabbage and instead have to ask the people behind the stand to do it for me. I thought the mask wearing was to prevent the spread of the virus? It's news to me that one's hands are also allegedly carriers. In that case, I'm surprised the Governor of the persons residing in each STATE, do not also mandate glove wearing. I know the farm is only following orders so it's nothing against them at all.
