A fall lovers dream! All things Apple to be found here. I absolutely loved the $1 honor system Apple cider to sip on during our shopping. The Apple cider donuts are light, fluffy and delicious. The market has several other local food items as well.

The front stairs will look great with the graduated sized pumpkins going all the way up the landing for the trick-or-treaters

Theoretically, our favorite Rogers Orchard store is the one on Longbottom Road. Both are definitely worth the trip. Today we have Macoun apples, apple cider, honey, pumpkins, and of course apple fritter donuts on our shopping list. Fresh, melts in your mouth, deliciousness whether it's from mother nature in the orchards, the hives in the field, or the man-made bakery that's irresistible! Now if we could only find the tree that money grows on because the prices of everything have gone up, up and away.

This is a really nice classic apple orchard. I stopped here on the way back from a road trip to the Poconos and it really hit the spot. Pick-your-own prices were about typical. They have a huge variety of apples and the orchards were not overpicked. You can get to a decent selection of apples without walking too far, although as always with pick-your-own, you might get a better haul if you are willing to walk. Not too many areas of the orchard were closed off. The farm store has a variety of local products like fresh pies, cider donuts, maple syrup, jams and jellies. I would definitely come back here for apple picking next Fall!

Super cute barn/orchard. The location is soo big and driving in you runs past the reservoir which is so beautiful. On the other side you can overlook the mountains, really a stunning place. There is quite a variety of apples and the treats are delicious. I enjoyed some apple fritters, apple bread, and cider. Really enjoyed coming here.

Really great orchard in the heart of Connecticut. We stopped by and you can pick lots. Of great varieties just steps from parking which is great. Gala, Macintosh Honeycrisp were all in season. Reasonable prices. Just remember that you are picking your own apples, not apples for the orchard as the couple in front of us learned (an expensive lesson). The the stand itself had everything you'd want: fritters, other fresh vegetables, apple cider Yum! And friendly service too.

Decided to stop for some apples. Sign post about wearing a mask outside the entrance, due to COVID. Inside there were apples of all kinds , the barn smelled wonderful. There were also baskets of apples of all sizes. I decided on Empire and Macoun , two varieties that I cannot get at home. They looked awesome. The employees all had masks on , I believe there was hand sanitizer present also( I carry my own). They also had baked goods there, that looked good. I felt the prices were fair, I thought it was a good experience . However when I bit into a Macoun , it was more like a MacIntosh. I do know that Macouns are created from MacIntosh and Jersey Black , sadly not what I had expected. Cannot wait to try an Empire. It was overall a goood experience.

This is a good farm with apple picking which has a variety of apples including honey crisp. I only visited their store. I took a bucket of honey crisp from the store. There is a big difference between first quality and second quality apples. I went for the second quality apple. Though it doesn't look great, it tastes the same. Apple cider specifically from gala apples and honey crisp, was good. Both were nice. If you like ginger, they have the ginger buzz soda. It has a harsh ginger taste, but not too sweet. Honeycomb cider soda was sweet. I also loved their apple sour cream coffee cake.

Poor quality premium price.1.25 an ear for this?

I have been a customer for 4 decades. Very disappointed this year. Corn poor cookies stale.

Cute orchard that is a fun place to go if you're looking for a fall activity. They didn't have a ton of apples when we went but I imagine that was just due to timing. My only complaint is that they stopped weighing the apples you pick and just make you buy a certain amount right from the beginning. I didn't need an entire bag that big so I ended up splitting one with my friends. But the donuts here are really good and they're definitely worth coming for! They're a must buy if you're here.

Courtlands are among the many varieties available at Rogers Orchards.

During my visit, the trees were full of Pink Lady, Evercrisp, Red Delicious, and Empire apples. After tasting these fresh, juicy picks straight from the tree, I don't think I can go back to store-bought apples - not that I really have a choice! Every bite was crisp perfection, and honestly, this might become an annual tradition for me. You can choose from a few bag sizes when you go apple-picking: Large ($40) - labeled at 30 lbs Medium ($25) - labeled at 12-15 lbs Small ($15) - labeled at 7-8 lbs Separate from the orchard, there's a large open field that's perfect for picnics, with plenty of seating and cozy fire pits to keep you warm. It's a beautiful, family-friendly space -- kids running around, birthday celebrations happening, and couples just relaxing in the fall breeze. You don't need to pick apples or pay any additional fees to enjoy this area, which is a big plus. Bring your own chairs if you want extra comfort. There were three food trucks on-site during my visit. My favorite was Pika Food Truck -- their Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich was delicious. Chef O's Streatery offered empanadas but they weren't my favourite-- a bit too salty and lacking flavor. We also tried a flight of ciders, which was such a fun way to sample different seasonal flavors. Before you leave, make sure to check out the scenic overlook -- it's stunning, especially with the fall foliage. I loved that they even had a tripod set up for easy photo-taking. Rogers Orchards truly captures everything great about fall -- fresh apples, good food, cozy vibes, and community. They accept cards, which makes checkout super easy.

The pie crust was home made, flaky, delicious (unlike the frozen pie crust I use when asked to make a pie). The fruit selection was tasty, this priced about $20.00!) I have fine pie places near where I live but Rogers is better, in my opinion. Take the family, pick fruit, buy a pie, donuts, et al -- you'll have an enjoyable family experience. Keep in mind that there is a "Jones Family Farm Pumpkinseed Hill" at 120 Beardsley Rd., and then the "Jones Valley Farm/Jones Winery" at 606 Walnut Tree Rd. My GPS accidentally took me to the Pumpkinseed Farm at first, but it wasn't a big deal because the winery is just a few minutes away. Once I was in the right place, a staff member greeted me and gave me the wine/food menu. They have a lot of different areas to sit, including a patio with tables/umbrellas (where they had live music playing), a pavilion with tables underneath, an upper patio that was covered by a pergola with leaves/vines on top, and an inside bar area with seating. The inside bar area has garage doors that were open, leading out to the upper patio. Even though it was a hot day, I sat under the pergola and it was surprisingly cool underneath! After sitting down, a staff member quickly came over and took my drink/food order. I tried a glass of the Sunshine White, which was delicious! It was on the sweeter side though. Keep in mind that they only sell wine by the glass on the menu, but they do have a store where you can buy bottles to go. I also ordered the Simply Cheese Plate, which came with sharp cheddar cheese, Jones Berry Chutney, and sea salt crackers. This was excellent! They also do have a "Light Fare" menu with things like a hummus plate, cheesecake, popcorn, etc. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. They had a "Bouquet Bar" set up where you could buy fresh cut flowers, as well as a small gift shop. Overall a very cool winery in Shelton, I would definitely recommend!
