Good apple orchard with tractor rides to the picking areas. Seasonal shop with apples and other food items.

I've been coming here for a few years and I can't believe I've yet to review it! I recently decided…read moreto pull some pictures with my camera since I felt it was the right time, they had great options available. The ambiance always feels like fall here too, even in other seasons. I went to grab a 6 count of their apple cider donuts without sugar coating and a pack of their apple fritter bites coated with sugar, truly one of my favorites! I can vouch for their pies as well as their other flavored donuts as I've tried mostly all of them through time. While taking pictures, I stumbled upon something I've been missing on trying which was their apple cider slushie running at $2 each, they are self serve. It was so good, you can't pass that or their fresh apple cider for a $1 a cup, also self serve. This establishment is most definitely a long time local hidden gem, a favorite for many! They have apple picking available, apples for sale inside, as well as pies, more donuts, & a plethora of other fall items to purchase. Some staff members do seem friendlier than others but I try my best to never judge as my experiences still have continuously gone well. Go show this establishment some love and support! Thankful to have this place nearby.

I had a death in the family and a celebration of life event attended by and wanted to bring something near and dear to me. I purchased a bushel of 1st tier apples, pristine and delicious. I ate 4 of them before getting back to my hotel :)! They went over amazingly, and I honestly wished I could bring some home. Alas, I'll need to go back again next year...

The apple cider donut stand was absolutely amazing. Theyre making them fresh right there! We got a couple fresh apples as well and they were phenomenal. Service was nice and they're busy! We had fun plucking zennias ($.50 each) and wanted to see the sunflowers but did not get a chance to since we saw lightning. Within ten minutes of seeing lightning, a heavy thunderstorm began, which we waited out in the cidery, which is in a large barn. There were three bathrooms and a shared sink. There were also lots of snacks, ciders and spirits available for purchase. You could even buy crackers / cheeses / meats to make your own charcuterie board! It looked like there was a private event while we were there as well as another private event in the evening. I only tried the Kitchen Sink cider which I honestly didn't like at all, but at least the packaging was nice! I also have to give a shout out to the people working at the stand near the parking lot for giving me a free sunflower stem since I didn't get a chance to pick one!

About time for a re-review…read more... Oh Averill Farm... How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. - The farm is family run and truly feels like it. The folks who work there are SO nice and helpful and friendly and kind. There are kiddos and farm pups running around, kind signs offering water for those who need it (in stark contrast to a certain corporate orchard we despise, which does not provide drinking water to patrons and does not allow patrons to bring water in, even for dogs). Averill is the kind of simply humane, thoughtful place that brings joy to my heart. - The farm is beautiful. So beautiful. On a coolish autumn morning, it's uncrowded and you can gaze out into the distance to see tractors mowing in distant fields, outlined against a periwinkle sky, rows and rows of neat trees, all impeccably well kept. Adjacent to the farm market, there's a big, wide field with a generous number of picnic tables placed all around, far enough from one another that you can pretend like you have the field all to yourself. - Farm produce and products are pure goodness. Apples and pears are magnificent, of course: juicy, healthy, not doused with pesticides. Cider donuts are freshly fried, well blotted, and not overly sweet. An apple crumb pie, redolent with butter and still warm at purchase, was world class, not overly sweet. Pear and apple cider are the embodiment of clean, adulterated fruit flavor. It's food I feel good about feeding to my kiddos. - The bathroom is a port-a-potty situation, but the one I used was pretty clean. There are four behind the farm store. - Pricing is fair. - Fellow patrons are civilized and respectful, which makes me so happy. Policies are generous, rules are reasonable -- and as a result, patrons don't feel like they have to claw back something from the business to even out the playing field. At some large, commercial places, you see some patrons pull apple after apple off of trees, take one bite, and then throw them down into the grass to rot (so they feel like their insanely high cost of entry is justified, I speculate). Averill owners and Averill patrons are respectful of one another, making for a truly pleasant visit. If you enjoy a bucolic, relaxing and beautiful apple picking (without the gaudy carnivalesque elements offered by some larger establishments), Averill Farm is an absolute must.

Of all the sites we visited, this was the stand out. The fruits and vegetables are incredible... literally picture-perfect and bursting with flavor. In addition, the stand has lots of homemade products like mango salsa, horseradish mustard, and the like. These specialty items are delicious! Oh, and don't forget to pick up some of their homemade preserves. My husband and I practically overdosed on peach preserves! There is a beautiful outdoor area where kids can play, which also makes the stand a nice destination for families. Last but not least, the staff that works here is so friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them.

Hindinger Farm sells fresh vegetables, fruits, jams, and other items for children, and it has a beautiful backdrop. One side of the farm overlooks the other side of the farm and the other side of the farmi overlooks this beautiful backdrop of nature on the farm. Hindubger Farms puts on live shows, and you can go shopping. There is also a playground for the kids to play. The playground is fenced in with a picnic area so parents can enjoy their food without worrying about their children's safety. You can always check their website for events, shopping, and find out which food truck will be at the farm that day. The customer service was great, and I will definitely be back.
