Two decently sized pools, locker rooms on far left

I came to Holiday Hill a few months ago for a senior trip. It was definitely very fun, however, each student had to pay a large amount of money to be able to come on the trip. This may have just been how my school set the event up. The staff were all very respectful and fun and were always working at and cleaning the areas provided. There were live games and events being held on the field, and at one point there was even a dance floor being supervised by a DJ at one point. Food was being served all day, from breakfast items to a DIY taco bar to the grill, there's no chance that you're going to be hungry. Also, the date we came, we got unlimited cotton candy and popcorn! Also set up a little by the cotton candy area was an unlimited ice cream truck with some fun choices. For activities, there were tons of options, including 2 pools for use, live games on the field, kayaks and canoes on the pond (which I didn't get to try due to the fact that it was packed 24/7), unlimited snacks and food, a bounce house obstacle course, a rock climbing wall, and even a trampoline-bungee fusion thing. The only issue I had was when my other friend and I tried to search for the horses- the signs were a bit misleading and we never got to see them. Overall, a very fun place to go for a one-day event outing! Definitely recommend.

Came here for my job party today . They had a nice buffet ,taco bar and donut/pastry area. The employees are very friendly and always cleaning . They have self serve soda/juice machines and hamburgers/hotdogs made to order . The activities are spread out wether it's canoes, pony rides, mini golf or bingo you can find something here to do. Two big pools below with lifeguards on watch . They have free cotton candy and popcorn and a icecream truck handing out a few flavors. Overall you will have a fabulous time here !

    Canoeing, kayaking, row boats

So, we had a family reunion picnic here. There was food all day, a DJ, two pools, a lake with row boats, kayaks, and canoes, face painting, puppets, basketball, pony rides, and on and on!!! Plenty of food choices for most (limited for vegans) and the food is kept coming ALL DAY!!! Plenty of activities for all ages, and a very friendly and accommodating staff. My only advice is that they need to update the bathrooms! And perhaps add more. The venue can manage so many people, but there bathrooms cannot...but I did appreciate being able to change a baby in the nurse's office away from the crowds. That was definitely a plus!

    Good for the kids!! Tons

We went here today for my students' fifth grade senior trip. The kids really enjoyed themselves. They had all you can eat burgers, and hot dogs, donuts, muffins, nachos, clam chowder. Then about 11:30 they put out bbq chicken, fried chicken, all types of salad and pasta and bread corn on the cob, cakes , soda, juice, water. They had an icecream truck giving out blue bunny icecreams and they also had popcorn and cotton candy. The kids were able to go back many times as often as they wanted for whatever they wanted. Then they also had many activities for the kids. Swimming, boating (which our school didn't do we weren't permitted.) But they had rock climbing, bouncy house, obstacles courses, basketball, baseball, tennis, soccer, miniature golf, bungee jumping, horse and pony rides, dancing, music, lip syncing contests, pie eating contests, ping pong, and much more. The kids really enjoyed themselves and I was really happy to see my students having a good time.

There is a nice, cool, pool that the kids absolutely loved playing in. The campground is also pet friendly as long as you are in an RV or at a campsite. They don't allow pets in the cabin. That wasn't an issue for us this time, but it's something to consider if you are planning on traveling with pets. The cabins themselves are fine. Nothing extraordinary and nothing to nitpick about the structure. We only had a few issues. The first was with the AC. It was set to the lowest temperature, and it still couldn't keep the room cool. Granted, we came during a heat wave, so it's probably not so bad when it's just in the 80s or lower and the humidity isn't so high. The other issue was the mattresses on the bed. They were like prison mats. So uncomfortable, and even a two inch mattress topper didn't help. If you're a young person, then it probably isn't such a major problem, but if you are over 40 or have back pain, then you definitely want to avoid these cabins or plan to bring something that may help to make it more comfortable. The last issue is the cost. We stayed for two nights, and it cost over $300. My wife booked the cabin without my knowledge, so we were stuck with it, but for that price we could have stayed in a really nice hotel with amenities and towels and all of the things that are typically provided. In these cabins, there is toilet paper, a bath mat, and a couple of trash bags. You have to bring all of your own linens and towels. You also need to bring all of your own toiletries. And if you want coffee in the morning, either plan to bring a small machine and your own coffee, or you can take a 10-15 minute trip into one of the nearby towns. So, for the price and all things considered, I would not recommend booking a cabin here. The RV and campsites seem fine, and our in-laws paid a little less than half of what we paid for their RV site, so I would recommend it for that purpose.

Complementary water in our room and comfy robes. We had a balcony view of the sound that was breathtaking. Mathew at the front desk was welcoming upon arrival and took the time to get to know guests. He was always helpful when we had a question and took his time with us. Never made us feel like we were unimportant. The grounds were well maintained and kept up. Always saw staff maintaining the property. The property had a small private beach with overlook to rocky bluff. The hotel also has spa services for those who want to indulge in a facial or massage. On select Fridays the restaurant has a wine tasting and Al's hosts larger events. Lunch and dinner we sat outside on the covered patio with a beautiful view of the sound. Sydney was friendly and accommodating at dinner. The manager Anthony took good care of us at dinner for substitutions due to food intolerances. The food was excellent we had the short rib and steak frits with a beautifully paired Bordeaux. Lunch we had the crab cakes, house salad and smash burger. Our stay was just what we needed to relax and unwind. A definite revisit in the future.

As soon…read moreas I booked this hotel, I was informed by my wife that we already had a non-refundable reservation at another hotel for a brief visit my elderly, declining grandfather in Connecticut, of which I wasn't aware. This hotel advertised when I booked the rate that it was a free cancellation before 21 days. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not realizing we were already past that 21 day window (by about 12 hours). Within 15 minutes of booking the reservation, I called the hotel to see if they could help out a loyal Hilton customer. I sat on hold with the reservation booking agent who said he needed to talk to the front desk for over 20 minutes before eventually the line went dead. I never got a call back, but several hours later I received an email saying that my late cancellation was processed but I would be charged a $300+ fee. Look, I entirely get it: it's on me for booking the reservation, but I tried to cancel the reservation within minutes of booking and the rate was advertised as canceleable 21 days before arrival. The hotel did nothing wrong per-say, but you can decide for yourself if this is loyal Hilton customer should be treated.

It is a hidden gem for people who are looking for a simple beach getaway. *** There is nothing fancy about this place except that it's ON the beach. So if you looking for a top of the line award wining resort, this isn't it. *** That said... The cabins are nicely sized and clean but are slightly dated and worn(wood floors have been loved etc). WiFi wasn't great, we definitely used some cellular and personal hotspot etc BUT you won't find a place on Long Island where you can get two bedrooms, a full bath, full eat in kitchen, living room and covered deck off the side of the cabin for the price you will pay here. There's common areas for BBQing and then you bring your food back to your room/cabin, or you can cook in the kitchen but who wants to do that at the beach LOL. There is also free snacks and beverages in the lobby for guests pretty much 24 hrs. Free simple bf foods like muffins, etc in the mornings too. They have day beds and hammocks on the backyard lawn but the entire point of staying here is that when you go up and over the stairs you're on the beach. They have beach chairs or you can bring your own. We brought a wagon and my husband was able to walk around the side to bring everything over instead of lugging your stuff up and over. Kid friendly, dog friendly quiet area of the beach. We got one rainy day and drove into river head for the aquarium and stopped in Mattituck on the way back to the resort for Magic Fountain HomemadeIce Cream. The kids (7&4 yo boys) didn't want to leave and have asked to come back every yr.
