Apples!
Monica R.

Such a nice day out at this farm! Almost don't want to write this review because it is such a secluded place. We had almost the hole orchard to ourselves on a Saturday afternoon. They have pick your own apples, pears and peaches! Not as large of a selection of lyman but no crowds! They have a shop with pumpkins and a ton of baked goods! Highly recommend for a nice family afternoon outing

Some trees have colored ribbons

We were in town for a wedding and were looking for a local stand to get some fresh corn and go apple picking. We bought 3 types of corn, apples, and peaches. The corn was all amazing. All of the other produce looked good but we weren't able to try more on our short trip. The main parking lot seemed small so I went inside to ask about the pick your own apples. The girl behind the counter handed me a couple of bags and said that you could drive or walk up the hill (I have a toddler so walking wasn't really an option) and then come back and they weigh the apples. I was a little surprised that she had no concept of how many pounds a full bag would be since I was going to try to do some quick math to compare to the price of apple picking in MA and NH where you pay by the bag. Ultimately it worked out better to be by the pound and the price was about half of what we were expecting since we had the luxury of getting half a bag. When we drove up the hill I was surprised to see no other parking lots, spots to pull over, or signs about parking. We pulled up behind another car that had sort of pulled over and those customers told us that we were fine where we were. The whole parking situation seemed odd since I am used to a huge lot and hay rides out to the apple trees. Maybe this place doesn't actually get that busy on the weekends? We were there on a week day. The apple picking itself was pretty standard. I didn't see ladders around but there were plenty to pick from without ladders. Ultimately I would go back.

After going to both Gotta's and Draghi's, I must say that I prefer Draghi's overall because the latter has a larger variety and better-looking produce.

The quality of the trees is great - 5-6 years and we've never had a bad tree. They're full, look green and healthy until the New Year and smell amazing. As a plus, there's complimentary hot cider and popcorn, which my kids love. Something I can say yes to after picking out our tree and it also provides a snack for the ride home.

Pumpkin Town is mostly a pre-K through elementary age playground but adults have fun too. There are…read moreendless photo stops: come back to the big pumpkin back drop if there's a line when you enter, go straight to face painting before that line grows. Backdrop cutouts, the tractor, and a grow line are other photo stops that keep you coming back. One heads up that admission doubles on weekends, but $8 per person wasn't terrible, and there's a discount if you buy hayride and Pumpkin Town tickets together. Pumpkin facts are all over pumpkin town (pumpkins are hand-painted, costumed each year, and stored nightly, etc.) and it's a fun scavenger hunt for these facts. Jumping houses, tubes, and interactive houses were the best parts for our little one. Credit/debit users, remember to bring cash for postcards as you can send them postmarked from Pumpkin Town, autumn treats like cider donuts and popcorn at the snack stand, and the catapults over the pond aimed at Red Sox and Yankees targets (must be a Mets Family here!). Also remember a couple bucks to cash for the breast cancer donation box, in memory of Sandy herself. Having to bring cash isn't my favorite but there was a farm stand and snack bar with souvenirs where cards could be used. Pumpkin Town is part folk art installation, part amusement park, part harvest fair, and a fun tradition. I only wish they had a Santa Town each winter...
