Visited in the first week of September, so it was very early in the apple season. The orchard only had small bags available for purchase at $10..I wish they offered larger bag options. Parking was plentiful across the road, and a tractor ride is required to get up to the apple trees, which was fun for kids. They only had two types of apples available (McIntosh and Gala), along with the last of their peaches. The apples closest to the drop-off point didn't look great, but the trees further up the slope had much better-looking fruit, likely because the slope deterred pickers. The store was stocked with fresh baked goods and, of course, apple cider donuts. There's also an animal farm on-site, which costs extra for big kids and adults (I believe it's free for kids under three). Overall, it was an okay experience. The limited apple selection and condition of some of the trees were a bit disappointing, but the tractor ride and fresh baked goods added some charm. I'd recommend going later in the season for a better variety and quality of apples. read more

I love their chocolate milk! The parking was a bit of an adventure, because you pull in and back out into the road. It was very cute though, very New England. There were lots of greens for wreathes... And somewhere emu? Must be summer attractions. But for winter, half the store was filled with cute items made in China. The other half had fruit and baked goods. The donuts are famous for a reason, caked with sugar and they stayed fresh for several days. My favorite part was the flavored milk. We drove up from Cos Cob CT an hour dirive for the day .We purchased what we thought was a beautiful Cherry pie but we were wrong the cherries were pale white bitter and sour not ripe. We also purchased Blue Berry jam which had no taste . We called and expressed our concerns and spoke to a manager.We would have to come up and return to receive another pie not a credit or refund . Nice farm but crazy busy. We decided to try the apple picking. You ride a little train after you pay and pay per person and per bag. You don't need a bag per person as it took a long time to fill the bag with apples we liked. It's not easy to get the apples as most of the trees were already picked. Yes there are plenty of apples scattered around but the ones left were not in great condition as all the good ones were picked. They open a new section once those apples are ready. Parking was free but not easy to get in there. Overall a great day. Lots of pumpkins. read more

Really great experience coming here to pick apples/peaches during the late summer/early fall season. Since it wasn't the right time of year yet, the pickings were still a bit too early on Labour Day Weekend, but it was still a treat to walk through the fields and enjoy the beautiful nature. The $10/entry pp and $5 bag was definitely worth the price for the fruit groves. We didn't go to the animal farm across the road, but we did go into the store which had some cute local fare, albeit expensive. I'd definitely come again! read more

The store, the food trucks, hay rides, etc. is excellent, but the farm-my word. But 2 stars because ... Each farm animal totally in need of loving care, cleanliness, and some appeared ill. What became concerning was the duck pond was so filthy with dirty algae green water and the center of duck pond the water fountain sprinkled out green water. Just seeing that, made us wonder of the farm animals... With hope and thinking perhaps, it was a time of busyness that the owners will get to it soon. We decided to come here and buy some food for the home but also gifts. They have a holiday shop on one side and the other side is filled with an array of pies baked fresh on the farm, unique jams, jellys, bbq sauces, salsas, pasta sauces, honeys, salad dressings, etc. most of the gift items were around $8-14. Honestly I had SO much fun at this farm I'm not sure why there are so many sub-par reviews. I visited in early July for peach picking and yes peach picking was slightly underwhelming it was very crowded and all the ripe peaches had already been picked so we were left with a lot of hard peaches. That being said now that they have sat for a week outside they are ripe and delicious to ear. The HIGHLIGHT of this farm is the animal farm. Get the $5 feed bag it is 100% worth it it is a ton of food for a small dollar amount. The baby goats are adorable alongside the llamas, cows, and emus. Word of caution when feeding the emus- they bite! Animal farm was 10/10. Peach picking left something to be desired but that is probably a symptom of when we went versus the farm iteself. read more

Very good place for Blueberry picking. I suggest going early. By late afternoon the sweet blueberries were already picked by others. They have a good barn area with farm animals (Rabbits, Emus, Lamas, Cows, Sheep, Goats etc) and kids can feed the animals. The farm store has delicious fresh squeezed apple cider. I am a sucker for fresh fruit juice. They also have fresh fruits and vegetables all from the farm. You can also get blackberries for example that are grown on the farm. However we did not get to pick blackberries/raspberries as they were closed for picking and only blueberries were open for picking (July-Aug). I highly recommend visiting there. Carry hats and it can be brutally exhausting picking berries on a hot sunny summer afternoon. read more

Silverman's is a great place to go on an annual Fall trip for apples, pumpkins, and cider. It has an "Instagramable" outdoor area with several places to take photos and pick the perfect pumpkin to take home. I usually buy apples to bake something like pie, or dumplings at home. You can get a pre filled Apple bag of pick your own. However, I like to choose a few different varieties from inside the country store and mix and match. They also have pies, bread and other assorted goodies. It's a very family friendly spot. That being said, *Pro-tip - If you don't have children, or don't plan on taking any with you, don't even try to go on a weekend from September - November. Go after work, or take a day off. read more

Fun fall activity for the whole family. While we didn't Apple pick we did have a chance to check out the animals and farm store. Was definitely very busy on a weekend, but they have ample parking. Animals were cute and fun for kids to feed. Farm store had a lot of options. We got the apple cider and apple cider donuts. Everything was labeled as fresh, though they all had preservatives and such so I'm not sure that's the case. Store was definitely packed so checkout took a while. I went today to pick blueberries and they were the biggest blueberries I've ever seen, There was such a selection, like every berry bush was filled. Every associates berry picking with Lyman Orchards but Silverman's beats them hands down. The fields go on and on and on. Even from the two rows I picked from, it was without a doubt the best blueberries I've ever picked. I also went to the petting zoo part. Admission was cheap and it was also $5 for a bag of kibble for feeding. IT WAS A HUGE BAG IT WAS BEYOND WORTH IT. I thought it was gonna be a small little section for a small group of animals, like most farms have. NOPE. It was like going to a small zoo almost. There were sections with deer, goats, sheep, alpaca, chicken.. Amazing. The areas for each animal were sufficient like they were definitely taken care of, and very roomy areas for every animal. Lastly, across the street, there was the main market spot. They had all difference produce, jams, jellies, sauces, premade mixes (pancakes, cobblers, etc), honey, milks.. This was a cool place. Love the animals. Everyone that goes does need to pay, and then you need to pay for the feed for the animals. Option to buy a bag at the front or use quarters inside. There are tons of animals inside, and also a small area with a maze and a trucks / small slide for the kids to play on. I stopped by to see what they had to offer on the way out of town. The store has a bunch of local products, Christmas trees, pumpkins and all veggies. I bought a few overpriced products thinking they were going to be some magical local products. Unfortunately I was disappointed by everything. Bacon ketchup! How can you mess that up? Easily, don't put any bacon in it and a ton of sugar and you have a $10 bottle of "meh" ketchup. Cheddar Ale and Lobster Bisque dip mix!? Hell yeah! Okay they're $5 for a little pouch but they'll be worth it. NOPE!! Stay away from these they taste like absolutely nothing! We stopped by on a late Sunday afternoon to pick raspberries. We paid ahead of time and each got a small container to put the raspberries in--$5.00 a piece. Raspberries are expensive anywhere you go and to be able to pick our won was a great way to spend time outdoors. There were plenty of raspberries to pick which were ripe and juicy. A great experience. The inside store/farm stand had plenty of fresh veggies and fruits, pies, and baked goods,, as well as an assortment of their own jams and other items along with Stonewall Kitchen products. There were also gifts of different sorts available for purchase. The cider donuts were fresh and delicious. Nice, local farm in the beautiful, quiet town of Easton. There is an animal farm which looked like fun for all. Parking in front of store and also across the street by the animal farm. Nice way to spend a few hours. read more

So happy we ignored any negative reviews about this farm! It was fantastic! $7 entry fee and $5 for a bag of food. They also have quarter machines with fees, but the bags are well worth $5. They have deer, goats, sheep, pigs, llama, chickens, bunnies, donkey, cows, and emu, and I feel like I'm forgetting something else! Very spacious and laid out well. I visited for apple picking today and it was very clear Silverman's has gone way down hill. This is a high volume, pack-as-many-people-as-you-can into the place with little regard for health, safety or quality. After you purchase a bag for apple picking you are loaded into a tractor-pulled wagon with about 30 other people. The tractors drive around haphazardly, carting people back and forth to and from the orchard. I saw a tractor narrowly miss taking out a teenage girl who was trying to get out of the way. This place is exceptionally dangerous for small children. POORLY MAINTAINED ORCHARDS : We went mid-day and by this point the orchards were picked over. Some trees were diseased and mealy. Some trees were bare. While there were barrels of already picked apples you can choose from, they seemed to contain dirty apples that were scooped from the ground. Litter was everywhere: used diapers, cigarette butts, water bottles, food wrappers, you name it. It would be helpful if they post some reminders about picking and not littering to address the clientele that arrived in droves (mostly from urban areas I am guessing). CROWDED COUNTRY STORE: The country store was crowded and sold nothing to write home about. The line was consistently 50 deep for the 30 minutes I waited to purchase a beverage and a snack. People were freaking out over the apple cider donuts (Hot Tip for City Folk losing their marbles over the donuts: Stew Leonards makes better ones that are half the price). As much as I want to continue supporting this local business I can't in good conscience since they're not helping themselves. It seems like they have altogether given up on maintaining the place or ensuring a safe and pleasant experience for guests. This was my second visit to Silvermans this year after picking blueberries and peaches during the summer (see my previous review) and I will likely not repeat unless they turn it around. read more

This is the cutest farm for pumpkin and apple picking! The cashiers were kind and the pumpkins were weighed for pricing (the two I bought were pretty cheap). Make sure to bring CASH! There are some locations you can use a card but if you want to buy hotdogs or ice cream you'll need cash. The apples turned out pretty sweet and the pumpkins were great for pumpkin pie! I work at a school and we went here for a field trip. The employees were very friendly. We went on a tour of the orchard and went by the duck pond where one of the students dropped her water bottle. They retrieved the bottle and brought it back for her, which was extremely kind. The kids got to pick out their own pumpkins. They also got to feed the goats. There is a large variety of animals here along with the goats. There are also deer, pigs, llamas, cows, rabbits, chickens, and more. I've been here three times now and always had such fun with my family. Most recently we went for picking peaches and then to let the kids visit the petting zoo and ride the farm train.All of the staff are very friendly and kind. The young lady working admissions at the petting zoo this past Sunday was very helpful in getting my family squared away with train times so we could squeeze in a trip to the zoo beforehand. I'm actually surprised people are giving less than 4 star reviews. The market always has lovely gifts, pies and other fun items to bring to people's homes. We've been here a couple of times- once in October 2020 to get pumpkins and pet animals, and once in July 2021 to pick berries and pet animals. In October, the petting zoo was roped off well to encourage one way traffic, and everyone we saw was masked, so we felt really comfortable. We also found a few pumpkins and had a fun time! The hand washing stations are REALLY helpful! In July, we came after some heavy rains. The animal's pens were really muddy and most still had lots of standing water, which might be normal but was a little off-putting. I'd like to imagine these animals have a dry place to hang out but it looked like that may not always be the case. The staff was really friendly and helpful, and we picked blueberries that look amazing! We're hoping to head back during apple-picking season. read more
