Excellent spot! Such great energy and wonderful products. I've bought beautiful hydrangeas for my garden here, fairly priced fresh produce, blueberry pies from Michele's in Norwalk (they pretty much carry her whole line), Wave Hill Bakery breads, cheeses, pastas, raw milk and more, only to name a few items I love and adore. It is such a pleasant little spot and very easy access to I-95 if you are driving though. During the time of COVID, I don't particularly like that I can't pick up a head of cauliflower or cabbage and instead have to ask the people behind the stand to do it for me. I thought the mask wearing was to prevent the spread of the virus? It's news to me that one's hands are also allegedly carriers. In that case, I'm surprised the Governor of the persons residing in each STATE, do not also mandate glove wearing. I know the farm is only following orders so it's nothing against them at all. That being said, love love love this farm. Please continue to support local businesses. The connections and the bonds you create with those in your community will be what unite us and propel us forward and away from the current fear based reality. read more

This place is a theme park for plant loving adults. So many kinds. All gorgeous. Plus, a great spot for fresh eggs from the farms chickens, beautiful berries and the most healthy and unique plants. Cheap no. But, their plants grow faster than other nurseries I've used. Their geraniums keep on sending out conversation stopping blooms all Summer. The staff is knowledgeable and offer growing advice. The staff also seems happy with their jobs and proud to be of service to the community. A real treasure Treat's. read more

This weekend, Oct. 15-16, is the end of the season for Treat's this year. (Same hours as in the photo for summer hours.) Last weekend many landscaping products that remained were on sale. I'm going to miss Treat's till it reopens in the spring. read more

Although this place is expensive, I have to tell you they have some of the best selections of plants, flowers, etc. I've seen in the years. The quality of their product is truly amazing. The farmers market is incredible with some of the best gourmet foods I've seen in years. read more

I have been visiting Treats for many years and love supporting the family farm. The barn structure that stands here replaced an old farm shed and really put Treats on the map on such a prominent corner in Milford. They carry Wave Hill Bread from Norwalk which is delicious. Fruit and vegetables are always fresh and change with the seasons. The greenhouse plants are hit or miss depending on the time of year. Spring is a great time to shop for garden plants. the summer Wednesday Farmers Market is pretty good and well attended. They send out emails to let you know who will be there every week. Treats is open summer only. You pay a premium for their fruit and vegetables but won't get it any fresher. Staff is always friendly and helpful read more

Stay far away. I purchased perennial plants with the choice of plants at their direction and all were going to be in full sun. Two plants made it through and the other two died. I went back to them and their answer was "You did not water them enough". They did not take the time to ask what kind of plants, what type of soil, etc. only that the customer must have screwed up. All these stores have is customer service as they compete against the big box stores and they have lost on that front. Good luck to anyone who decides to visit this establishment! read more

I purchased four plants from this establishment and two of them died. I went back to Robert Treat farm to see if they would replace the plants as they were the ones who recommended the plants for direct sunlight. They told me that I did not water the plants enough. They did not ask me what kind of soil they were in, they did not ask me what kind of sunlight the plants were in. All the women said was that I did not water them enough which was not the case. I left extremely frustrated and would never buy another plant from them. In a competitive market with the big box stores gaining share all the small businesses have is customer service and Robert Treat farms failed. read more

This place has the area's best tomatoes and corn, beginning mid-July. I wait for them every year and they never disappoint.

The only negative thing I can say about Robert Treat Farm is that they aren't open year round. I get so sad when they close in December for 4 months :( This is the 2nd year I have been a member of their CSA program and it is on of the best investments I've made. For 20 weeks (June - October), I receive farm fresh produce that was picked just hours before. It has introduced me to new things I never would have tried before like kohlrabi and tatsoi, which I now love! The farm market is wonderful and it's the only place I shop for produce in the summer. Most items are right from their farm, but other local produce is available as well. There is also local bread, milk, eggs, cheese and baked goods. The nursery has a large variety of plants and it where I went to redo my landscaping. Saturday mornings there is a landscape designer on staff who can help you design pick out the right plants for your home. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. I'm so lucky to live close to this hidden gem in Milford. read more

This place is amazing. At its core a really attractive farm stand and high-end nursery. Lots of great produce, mostly locally grown. The plants and trees are all top quality. More expensive than the big box stores, but totally reasonable for the quality and everything I've bought here has flourished. I can't say the same for Lowe's or Home Depot. read more

A hidden gem! This was my first visit since the place was remodeled. I was pleasantly impressed, from the beautiful plants, gourmet baked goods, fresh produce to the speciality food items. There displays were eye catching, each little corner and nook had I reason for being there. This quaint shopping adventure made me feel like I was on vacation. I found the prices to be reasonable for the high quality of products they offer. I am looking forward to many more visit to this Milford GEM. read more

We have done a CSA through the farm for the past 3 years and are very much looking forward to this year. The price and quality of the produce are hard to beat. I like the variety of the veggies in the basket each week. The farmer's market on Wednesdays is also great. There are a nice mix of vendors with local products and goods. We have always been happy with the flowers and herbs that we have bought at the farm too. Stop by when they reopen in the spring, you won't be disappointed. read more

I really enjoy coming here for a variety of reasons. I like the grocery selection - they have vegetables, fruit, bread, upscale or local dairy products (milk, cheese, etc.), meats, etc. I like the selection of plants, planters, and accessories available - I always get my mums and pumpkins from here for fall. They also offer a farmers market during the summer that can't be beat - there are a wide range of food trucks and local vendors all pedaling neat items to browse. I LOVE the chickens, they're just cool and they sell their eggs at the farmers market (the chickens don't sell them...the humans do). Everybody here is nice and helpful too. Prices are a bit more than what you'd expect from a Stop & Shop but I like to keep my money local. read more

The owner was a complete bitch. We were coming back from Maine where we visited grandchildren at camp. We went out of our way to stop there. I was looking at the tomatoes which were in a small wooden box. when I emptied the tomatoes into a plastic bag (I knew they would keep the wooden boxes to reuse) the owner, whose name is Mary Tree, started to harangue me about taking the tomatoes out of the box. She also accused me of switching tomatoes. I keep saying to her, all I am trying to do is buy tomatoes. Finally, I had to say---just please leave me alone. Not sure what her problem was (maybe got up on the wrong side of the bed) but it was really bad. My wife and I bought our vegetables, flowers, and whatever, and got out of there. Seldom in my life have I been treated that way. If you go there---watch out for her and be prepared for "battle". It was so unnecessary. I feel bad for her, she must be a really unhappy person. read more

I went to the Treat farmers market today with my family including two small grandchildren. We had not been to the farmers market, but had been to the regular stand many times. I was very surprised to have the older gal with the blond short hair approach us as if we were doing something wrong. We were simply shopping for vegetables. I've seen her many times, she may be an owner, I'm not sure. She seemed to try to head us off as if we were trying to leave with all of our vegetables. I explained that we were still shopping. She said she we could pay for the produce at a certain table. She continued to try and usher us to the pay table. I again told her in a louder voice that we were still shopping. I was really getting frustrated and to be frank, insulted. She left and then another gal came over as if she was just there to watch us. It was really strange. We were three adults and 2 small kids. We had put all of our produce on an empty table so we would not have to carry it. I have no idea why this gal was pretty much harrassing us at a produce stand. It was very upsetting. I see there has been a similar review by a grandfather from last year. I will lend credence to his review as my experience was very similar and it sounds like the same gal was harrassing us. I have been to a ton of farmers markets and have never experienced anything like this. Normally, I'm offered samples of the produce and a lot of smiles. I can only hope that this gal get's the message this time and provides a response to the yelp reviews. I really hope they care about their customers enough to stop treating customers in this manner. read more

Stopped by the farmers market on a hot summer day to be met with a completely rude staff. They accused me of stealing since I had brought my own bag which I had loaded with a few items. I was heading to PAY when I was stopped and accused. I asked if I should have used the giant baskets instead and if she would prefer that I load one with my items instead of my bag. She ignored my question and strongly insisted that I need to pay right now. She was "on" us as if we had "thief" written on our foreheads. My mom wasn't done picking out her items so the employee walked away and had another employee babysit us both to make sure we weren't stealing. REALLY. Unbelievable! Like I would stroller my kids through a farmers market in a $300 stroller to steal $11 worth of produce. I have rarely been treated so rudely in my life. We were not rude, we were looking to have a conversation from the employee talking to us. She was uncooperative and extremely rude. I will never go back. I am a local, I live around the corner and I thought I would give this place a try. This place is not worth it. Nobody in their right mind holds a farmers market from 3 to 6 PM in the summer. Those are literally the hottest hours they could choose. What a waste of time and a total disappointment. read more
