I must have been the most excited adult to enter the place that day! My boyfriend and I were cruising around Connecticut, when I found out in a travel book about CT - we were close to the PEZ visitor's center! Not knowing what a PEZ is (!!!!!), he reluctantly drove us there. And let me tell you I think he had as much fun as I did, but he will never admit it haha. The tickets are more or less $5 - they give you a $2 store credit and a lanyards. When you enter there is a GIANT PEZ, when you push a button it "dispenses" a PEZ! You get to walk around and see all the different PEZ dispensers made over the years! Two walls have entire history of PEZs. Also you can take a bingo card, on which you need to find years the dispenser was launched for different characters. That is where my boyfriend got REALLY invested. He was looking around for the characters on our bingo card, telling me about different children shows etc. Second floor featured a party room, pictures of PEZ related events, PEZ outfits, motorcycle, PEZ based on Asian shows and signed PEZs by famous people. My favorite was KISS. First floor also featured a factory (you can see machines through the windows) and a gift shop. My boyfriend and I both choose dispensers ($3) for ourselves and he chose one for his kid and I choose one for my little sister. We purchased $6 buckets and filled them with different flavors of PEZ candy. There was PEZ lego like puzzle sets ($5) As a pin collector (i think $4-6) - there was 4 different pins to choose from. I had to have one! Also when you get bingo you get to spin the wheel and get a free dispenser! As a 30 year old adult I had SO MUCH fun learning about the candy I loved for almost 20 years! We love quirky attractions like this "factory" tour. We had time in our schedule as we toured through New England so we stopped here on a Sunday afternoon. They charge $5 but you get back $2 to spend in the store. This is a very colorful place with thousands of pez dispensers displayed throughout in a well designed and informative manner. They also tell the history of this product and company with plenty of memorabilia. During the week you can watch the factory operate but on weekends they have a well made video that explains the manufacturing process. Of course about 20% of the space is dedicated to a retail shop but that is fun in itself. Definitely worth a stop for an hour. read more

Had a great time here at the PEZ Visitor Center. I had no idea so many pez existed. It was super neat to see the packaging facility and watch them pack up pez. You could smell the pez outside as you are walking in. You really can't beat the price for what you get. You get a cool pez lanyard, admission, a discount at the shop, and a chance to do a scavenger hunt for a free pez dispenser. We had a blast. Saw the sign on the highway and had to stop to check out the novelty of Pez. Had seen a documentary about Pez a few years ago and found it very interesting. The shop here is nice enough lots and lots of different Pez dispensers, some merch. I bought a tee shirt. Every time I wear it someone says like "wow! Pez !" There's a glass window looking into what seems to be a manufacturing of some sort but nothing was going on. Unfortunately. Would have been a complete experience to see some of that. read more

What a cool stop to make on my up to MA. This visitor center has so much cool PEZ history. I was there on a day the factory was not open so I didn't get to see the making of PEZ in action. I did buy a ton of PEZ for family and coworkers. I'll be back! read more

My crazy-for-candy kid nephew loved the museum, but I found it a little boring as an adult as far as museums go. The scavenger hunt certainly made things more interactive, but if you are not a PEZ fanatic, you might be less enthused about a long out-of-the-way drive as I was. Nonetheless, the staff was nice, and I think they certainly try their best to bring out the most interesting aspects of the candy and company history in a relatively small space. read more

This is a fun side trip with the kids. We brought an eight year old and a couple of five year old's to check out PEZ. It was a bit disappointing that they no longer offer tours inside the factory, but you can still see part of the process through the large plate glass windows. They also have videos of the process that you can watch. During our visit there is a scavenger hunt! Find the seven dwarves scattered throughout the museum, write down the clue and if you find them all, you win a prize at the end of your visit. Just show the card to the staff at the gift shop counter. There is plenty of information about the history of PEZ. Displays of PEZ toys. I don't know who thought shooting PEZ into someone's mouth with a plastic toy gun was a good idea, but I'm sure as a kid I'd be all over that! Clearly a toy no longer allowed for safety reasons (choking hazard anyone?) but still, very cool to see all the ideas through the years. I had no idea PEZ has such a line of collections! Anything from Star Wars and the Wizarding World, to trucks, cartoons and so many more! Photos of famous people who have visited the Visitor Center. An outstanding motorcycle and more. Definitely stop in the second floor to see the old vending machines and other displays. The kids had so much fun with the scavenger hunt! Of course they got PEZ dispensers and candy (sorry mom), plus their prizes. The gift shop not only offers lots of packaged candy options and a variety of dispensers they offer sets, T-shirts and bulk PEZ candy for the really enthusiastic PEZ fan. A private parking lot has lots of space. There are a couple of picnic tables by the entrance so bring a lunch! Restrooms right inside the doors are clean. An elevator is available to reach the second level. Many of the displays are wheelchair accessible. Entrance fee is reasonable and a giftshop discount given with paid entry. Enjoy! read more

This is a fun family spot to spend an hour or so in Orange. The Visitor Center costs $5 a head, with $2 credit going towards anything you buy in the shop. There's a ton of cool history in here and a fun gift store for the kids. The coolest thing was probably the World's Largest PEZ Dispenser, which you can press a button to open. Well worth a trip with kids if you're in the area. read more

Who knew that there was a PEZ factory in Connecticut? Certainly not me, but it was super cool to randomly drive by, see it, then do the craziest u-turn ever to check it out. Once you enter, you're greeted by a giant PEZ filled wall, with more varieties of PEZ than I've ever seen. The cost to get in is about $5, with $2 of that being a store credit. I spent about 30 mins walking around this place, and very the 40 foot tall PEZ that you can operate in the entryway, to the PEZ motorcycle on the second floor, there is so much to see! Most of my time was spent reading the plaques on the walls that outlined the history of PEZ candy, and then the other time I filled my basket with things to take back to Florida. Since it's technically a factory, there is an entire glass wall where you can watch the workers prepare and package the candy. I even saw flavors I didn't know existed. It's definitely worth a stop if you're ever in the area! read more

Date of Visit: 8/27/21 This place has been on our friend's bucket list for decades and his dream finally came true. It's a combination store and museum for all things Pez. Staff is amiable, but not what I would call overly friendly. You can tell that they are not here because they are big fans of the little candy with the fun dispensers. There were no guided tours or staff interaction outside of admission and checkout. The fun facts and trivia along the wall is presented well and the various display cases show the evolution of the product, though far more effort could go into the curation of these displays to make them more interesting to visitors. You can see a small amount of the production floor, but there are no chances to interact with the manufacturing staff, which seems to be a lost opportunity for the diehard fans. Also available is a mix-and-match bucket of all of the flavors of Pez, including sugar cookie (meh), candy corn (better than expected), and sour pineapple (actually not too sour). Your admission gets you $2 off at the store and they do have some exclusive items, which is a nice touch. The game of the month also nets you a little prize--in our case a weird, random Pez dispenser. read more

Probably my all-time favorite museum. I've been perhaps 6 times, over about as many years. One thing I incredibly appreciate about this place is that they regularly rotate exhibits! Though some installations stay constant (which is fine, they have amazing things like vintage PEZ vending machines), every time I come there are several new dispensers, collectibles, and bespoke merch I've never seen before. As a lifelong PEZ collector, every visit here makes me gasp and rush to find something else I realize needs to be part of my collection. The employees are also very friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to make sure you have a great time - but especially for an eager-to-buy adventurer like me with a penchant for a good merch store, this place is just about the best around. PEZ Visitor Center t-shirts, hoodies, enamel pins, luggage tags, all the latest dispensers, so much great stuff! But the best thing of all? DECORATE YOUR OWN DISPENSER! For just a couple dollars, you can unwrap a blank surfaced dispenser and draw on it with the markers they provide. It's an awesome deal and a really fun memorable experience with a souvenir to match. With a $5 admission including a $2 store coupon as well as a scavenger hunt for a free dispenser prize, it's honestly difficult to imagine better value. This was probably the most random places I've ever been. But, in a good way! This was one of our last stops before heading home from our road trip. I didn't think anything of it. Price of admission was $5 per person and you get a $2 coupon per person when you leave to buy a PEZ head. Basically it's FREE! Get to learn a little about when Pez was made and witness the manufacturing process of how it is made! Pretty cool to bring your kids, fams, or just for fun! One little complaint is. This is a pleasant family diversion, and if are particularly into PEZ, then your rating may be higher. Admission is a reasonable $5 for adults, but this includes $2 off at the store area; so, a family of four would pay $20, but get $8 off at the store. If you complete a scavenger hunt, you will get a prize. (We were able to spin a wheel to win a random PEZ package.) The "museum" part is not colossal, but it extends upstairs. We completed it in about 30 minutes, mainly due to the scavenger hunt, but enthusiasts might take an hour with a slower walk-around. There are a few interactive activities. The reason we found this to be more of a "diversion" than a destination is that (1) there is no factory tour, and you can't see too much through the large glass windows, and (2) the store area is not really that big, so you may not find anything too unique or surprising. If you go to the Christmas tree shop near Milford, you're very close to the Pez visitor Center. I had my four-year-old granddaughter with me today and decided it was the time to stop. It cost five dollars to get in and when you left you were able to pick a Pez so basically it was close to being free. There were a couple of little games to play and they were hundreds of Pez. You could see how some of the individual Pezz changed over the years , how they were able to improve and evolve the characters. It wasn't very busy but there were several families walking around. No problems parking. It was something to do to kill an hour or so. Would I say, you have to go to the Pez outlet, NO. But I would say if you're in the area and looking for something to do, you might want to check it out. read more

CT is known for their PEZ factory/museum (at least, that's what I've read). I visited PEZ randomly on my way up to Ikea. It's cheap to visit ($5/per adult, $4 seniors, $4 ages 3-12, under 3 is free). If you do the scavenger hunt, you get a free PEZ. The main floor is huge and filled with a ton of facts about PEZ. They have so many PEZ from past to present. It's really a PEZ museum. The staff are friendly, restrooms are clean, and overall, it's just a fun place to visit if you are on a roadtrip or have time. It won't take more than an hour to get through. Parking is free and plenty. It's a one time visit sort of place unless you're taking friends and family for their first visit. read more

They charge you to visit and credit some back for purchases. My issue was how filthy the parking lot was (thousands of cigarette butts, hair nets, trash and a dead pigeon on the sidewalk). Honestly it doesn't take much effort to keep a visitor facility clean. It makes me wonder how clean the factory is.
