I'll pass on the MAGA hat ornament...

We try to come here once a year to find an ornament for the tree - they have a huge variety of ornaments, mostly glass that range from reasonable to very expensive. There are themed trees (music, food, animals, plants, birds etc) so you can definitely find something out of the ordinary! They also have a small selection of toppers and lights. It gets very crowded in here because the shop is small so you may feel claustrophobic. I would suggest going either first thing when they open or near closing - especially while we are dealing with the covid-19 crisis as there weren't any signs that I saw that noted a limit of how many people can enter the store at once.

Absolutely love this place- and not just at Christmas! The Historical Christmas Barn is quintessential New England. Nothing gets you quite into the holiday spirit like this beautiful shop. They offer a large variety of very unique Christmas/holiday decorations, ornaments and holiday essentials like candles and lights! If you need an unusual gift, this is your place! You just can't buy the things they sell anywhere else in the area. Absolutely high quality merchandise - a must visit. If you are from the area, go often! If you are visiting the area, it's a must stop.

We were particularly enamored with the local items and the bells made in New England.

Just a wonderful place! So many plant choices and varieties as well as some unique items and foods…read morein the shop. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend!

well ive been thru horrendous childbirth, pancreatitis,& 3 hip replacements. nothing left me…read morebending over & wretching like their portapotties. even tho it's an hours drive, took my 2 friends to see this place which i have grown to love and they were sick of hearing me talk about it. Shakespeare once penned "to thine own self be true." i would pen this as "keep thine own manure to thyself." have been going here for years BECAUSE ITS UNUSUAL.BECAUSE ITS HIGH END. yet nature called this time. when i asked about a restroom they pointed me to the back where the porta potties are. the first one i opened was simply a predessor of what was to come. the other two left me w an impossible choice. i was trying not to dry heave entering the chosen one which was a slim comparison of the lesser of the other 2 evils. by the time i got to the front entrance where the car was parked i was bent over the car holding onto dear life with persistant vomiting onto the gravel. i felt so pretty. my friends would not go to lunch as planned as their description of my dryheaving in the car & my green face did not lend itself to eating. to not describe these portolets is not spareing you dear reader, but myself from the visuals that would prompt unyielding dryheaving every. single. time. that i think about this.my problem with this: i have a pretty strong stomach. my dad in the medical field would come home for dinner & while we were eating could easily talk about such subjects as pus. im no stranger when it comes to intestinal fortitude. these portolets were otherwordly disgusting, which to me were a complete insult to their customers who are spending small fortunes. i have never left there spending less than $300.00. and I'm on a pretty tight budget but I plan & save to come here. and most of their customers did not fall off the turnip truck or are backwoods farmers looking for something "purdy." show some respect to your customers. you want me to spend $250. 00 on some little garden ornament then clean up your act. make sure you use a real bathroom before coming here. "to thine own manure be true."
