From fancy lighting and hanging gorgeous chandeliers to beautiful large rugs perfect for any room. Candles, office decor, kitchen essentials, they have it all! Best part? They have the same competitive prices as Marshalls, TJMaxx and HomeGoods! They're all in the same family so you'll find the same products and more! The store is very well organized, only complaint would be the cashiers are a little slow and line runs sloooooow. Could be a one off day so don't quote me on it. However, phone number, email, and Yelp are all still active and in use. The current contacts at the business chatted with me a bit and provided a number for the old manager. There was some sincerely there but honestly the whole situation is VERY FISHY and understand other people are calling with similar issues and paid for products they never received. If the new folks are truly innocent of the scams that were being run through this place, suggest distancing themselves as much as possible from the poor reputation and shady dealings of this business.

There aren't many lighting stores left in Westchester, and Hi-Light had a few decent reviews, so I popped in quickly before the appointment with our electrician. After finding a few crystal flushount options at Hi-Light on Central Ave, I took a couple photos to send to my husband (who is also part of the buying process), and was immediately accosted by a salesperson who said I wasn't allowed to take photos of the products I was interested in buying, and asked me to stop. WTF? This is 2023. A great customer experience is your competitive advantage, and yet, the first thing a customer service person said to me was to stop taking photos of the items I was considering buying. Okaaaaaaaay. If you want to sell your products to people who use technology as part of the buying process, you need to make that easy AND pleasant for them to buy, and not harass them for promoting your products to their spouses (or interior designers etc.). I've been working on the renovation of our house for a year, and never once has a salesperson asked me to stop taking photos. In fact, they encourage it! This is why millennials do not want to come into stores now. Who has time for this B.S.? Never again. Service is nice and Sharon will gladly assist in almost anything that might interest you that day. Prices are clearly, comparable to its own Scarsdale location---lavish. No problem....every so often, The Dark Horse runs a store-wide sale and will not feel that huge dent in your wallet. Though I don't shop here on a regular, items, truly are rare, one-of-a kind. I pick a few funky and worldly, accent pieces to elevate my living room a bit and redecorate my college-age daughter's room, with items that I will not find anywhere else.

I still do not have my chair back. I bought the fabric and they said they were picking my chair in 2 weeks. They took 6 weeks and I had to call and call and call again They told me they were taking 2 weeks to re cover my chair.... they still have my chair. I spoke with Carolyn yesterday afternoon who reassured me they were delivering my chair this afternoon between 5 to 6pm. As you can imagine is 6:40pm and I'm still waiting. At this point I don't know if I am going to see my chair again!

But after 2 Westchester Sears location closings, we've now turned a new leaf and depend on Fortunoff on Central Ave in Yonkers for some of their outdoor selections. While Fortunoff isn't a BBQ grill destination, they almost have all your backyard needs. We haven't felt the need to replace any of our bigger outdoor pieces- because again, they're fine. But once they go out of their misery, I might consider this place for their outdoor variety. I mean...if you're going for that gawdy look, they gotchu covered- but if you want more of a clean-edge/'minimalist' feel, Fortunoff added that too. Service from the young gals is choppy, patchy and weak on dialogue- then again, I'm not going out with them for cocktails- but I do crack a smile to ease the blow during my transactions.

I was looking for a sofa about 85" long for my new therapy office and another to replace a sofa&loveseat leather hand me down which was torn to pieces by my cats (don't buy leather if you have cats with claws). I'd been to Ramour & Flannagan, Home Sense, Home Goods, Macy's and a ridiculous amount of online stores but I kept going back to Bob's (4 times). 20 plus years ago i went to buy furniture in North Carolina (worth the trip if you're buying for multiple rooms) where I learned what to look for when buying furniture or at least what good furniture should look like and where to push and pull. I found R&F to be the worst and the other's to be fairly equal--ok, but expensive. Back in the day when I had kids I'd buy a new or used sofa every 2 to 3 years--it's all I could afford. Finally what I purchased in NC lasted 20 years through 2 children and one grand child! Most of Bob's furniture was fairly well made from what I could tell. The wood might not be real wood (I couldn't tell) but when I pushed on the outside ends of the sofa there was very little give which to me shows it will last longer. Anyway, I stumbled across DAVID when I asked some innocuous question and I stuck with him through the purchase. When you don't want GRAY it limits your choices but that was my steadfast rule. So I found two sofas and one matching chair that swiveled and rocked with delivery to two different rooms (one upstairs the other downstairs) all for UNDER $1,000. The things that went wrong were a price change on a sofa I had seen the day before for hundred's less and a Delivery glitch (came the next day). The prices in the outlet ranged from $20.00 for a corner section of a sectional sofa to just over $1,000 for a large nice looking sectional in good condition. Be sure to examine all your furniture before you leave. Don't forget to sit on it too! Here, David was great pulling it out for me so I could look all over because they mention there could be dents, scratches and tears, etc. The three pieces i purchased were all in excellent condition and arrived that way as well. As someone who worked in Community mental health for many years I would recommend to any non-profit looking to set up a room for adolescents in particular --you can probably furnish it for $250 or less. I placed an order for a couch and they attempted to deliver it unsuccessfully. They were unable to…read moredeliver it because it did not fit and was too deep. On the website, it says that the sofa is 39' deep. However, the delivery person said it is actually over 40' deep and, therefore, would not ship. I spoke with Catrina and we were told we would be granted a refund to our credit card, minus the cost of shipping. Then, I received an email that I would actually be receiving store credit for the sofa, minus the shipping. because "it is the seller's responsibility to measure correctly." I requested a full refund to my credit card because I should not be penalized when I did measure correctly and nowhere on the website does it say to account for any additional packaging inches added to the depth of the couch. They refused to do this and gave me no response when I asked how I was supposed to accurately measure for a couch when I do not know the actual dimensions. I am disgusted with West Elm and their terrible customer service and website.
