I visited the PEZ Visitor Center with my husband and some friends when we were driving through Connecticut over the Fourth of July holiday. It was such a fun stop on our mini road trip! The visitor center is located at the PEZ factory, where PEZ candy is made for the US and Canada (the dispensers are made elsewhere). We visited over a holiday weekend, so they the employees who manufacture the candy at the facility were off on holiday, but normally you can watch the production floor from the visitor center. But the visitor center also a ton of PEZ memorabilia, a historical timeline of PEZ (I didn't know it was invented in Vienna in 1927 as a smoking replacement to help people stop smoking!), a PEZ trivia game, and more! It was really cool to learn about the history of PEZ and to see so many historical/vintage PEZ dispensers! The admission is very affordable ($5 for adults, $4 for children and seniors, and free for children under the age of 3). That admission includes a visitor lanyard you get to keep as a souvenir and a $2 credit towards merchandise in the shop. The shop was fun - we all had to get a souvenir, of course! It was a fun, happy little stop on our trip! I recommend it to anyone with kids or who are kids at heart or anyone who loves candy or who loves vintage Americana...really almost anyone should have a good time at the PEZ Visitor Center!

What a dope little visitor center! Super fast self guided tour of some really neat Pez artifacts. They give you a cool lanyard that you get to keep and they give you a discount on merchandise with your $5 entry price. We got to see them making the Christmas Pez dispensers. If you have time and you are in the area, I'd swing by (if you like Pez or grew up with Pez). You're in and out in under an hour.

Pretty small, but a unique experience nonetheless if you're in the area I would definitely recommend as part of your day out with the family. Tickets are very reasonably priced at $5 admission for a self guided tour of the visitor center. You also get a $2 discount voucher to use in the gift shop with every ticket. There are plenty of PEZ souvenirs at reasonable prices. If you don't want to spend money at the shop you do leave with a free landyard! If you are a PEZ fanatic this place will be for you. We seen everything in under an hour. The factory part wasn't open when we went so I'd like to see that but otherwise I wouldn't feel the need to come back.

I had a blast! The staff is friendly, the store is good vibes, and you get to see some cool PEZ dispensers. It's a fun and unconventional way to enjoy some American/ pop culture history. Who knew they used to make a chlorophyll PEZ?? My favorite part: You can participate in a scavenger hunt, where you fill out a "Bingo" card to find certain historic PEZ dispensers around their museum. The hunt culminates with spinning a roulette to get a special PEZ dispenser. I got the absolute cutest PEZ dispenser -- a cute orange monkey. If you're even slightly debating the detour here, DO IT. I'd love to return on a day when PEZ is being manufactured, but it was fun and worth visiting anyway.

I mean, I'd suggest coming here if you're remotely nostalgic for the candy, but don't plan your day around this visit. You'll be in and out in less than an hour. The deal, though, comes from a money voucher you get with admission, which essentially means you get to leave with a PEZ dispenser. This treat elated my young kids, who didn't know what PEZ was before we visited. The history and old collections are pretty neat. It seems like you can find anything on a PEZ dispenser! Watching some of the work be done was interesting, but it's hard to look in and really understand what's going on. They add some large TVs and explaining the steps, which is helpful, but, again, hard to actually follow. We had a good time, but I'm honestly not sure I'll be back to visit.

For $5 you can't beat this nifty little tourist attraction! But really, for five bucks a person you get a free lanyard, access to a museum of cool Pez memorabilia, a little look into the actual factory and $2 to spend in the giftshop. Note: most Pez dispensers are only $2.50 so that's a bargain for sure. It's not huge, but I wouldn't expect it to be. It's fun and kitschy though, and if you're in the area it's worth checking out. However due to its size, I wouldn't travel more than say an hour out of my way for just seeing this alone. Kids will love it for sure, I mean who doesn't love a toy that dispenses candy?

Brought my niece here and it was the perfect activity with her! The tickets are cheap ($5 or less) and you get some store credit. It doesn't take much time to go through the visitor center but they have nice displays and its all very informative. They also sell merchandise and of course, Pez! It was a fun spot and we very much enjoyed our visit!

I used to collect PEZ dispensers so when I knew I was going to spend a couple of days in CT I knew I wanted to stop at the PEZ Visitor Center. I went fairly early in the day so it wasn't too crowded. I played the game they have, viewed the collection, watched the movie, and shopped the store. What a great collection of both dispensers and other PEZ memorabilia! The Peter PEZ section was my favorite. The best thing I left with were packages of PEZ that are all cherry! Loved it!

This was the perfect stop on our way through CT. If you have an hour to spare, do yourself a favor & stop here. Admissions is only $5 for adults, $4 for children 3-12, I believe, and free for under 3. Admission comes with a free lanyard & $2 merch credit. My PEZ obsessed toddler loved seeing all the PEZ dispensers and had fun taking pictures. She was so excited! There's also a scavenger hunt you can complete - 1 per person per visit. If you complete it correctly, you get to spin a wheel for a free PEZ dispenser. They were kinda ugly but they were free! The merch store was very decently priced and we left satisfied with all our purchases only having spent a total of maybe $30. They have sour flavors! A must try. I hope they switch up the prize wheel & scavenger hunt items. If so, we'll be back!

This place screams nostalgia. Cool place to visit if a pez fan, learned also a bit of the history (never knew it was something an Austrian invented). They will have every known pez dispenser in retail, and cheap prices.

Great for kids and adults, and really a must-see! We came on a Friday and spent an hour here going through the displays, watching the factory in operation, and completing the scavenger hunt. Adult admission is $5 and includes a free lanyard, $2 store credit, and an opportunity to win a free Pez dispenser if you complete the scavenger hunt (chosen by spinning a wheel!). I found the history of Pez to be really interesting and I especially enjoyed seeing the antique Pez dispensers and those from around the world. The collection is extensive and there's several interactive displays. Highly recommend!

A surprisingly fun stop! We loved the scavenger hunt and reminiscing about the different PEZ dispensers through the years. We were able to see the manufacturing which was cool. Loved shopping in the gift shop

The factory is closed on weekends but still completely visible to everyone!

We just love these fun little unique stops!! The PEZ Visitor Center is for all ages, a nice little stop along the way to see where PEZ started and where it is today! The factory isn't running on weekends but you can still see inside it and imagine the machines running! It's two stories packed full of nostalgia with every single PEZ candy and dispenser ever made! The history of this little obscure candy is something we never knew and the creativity of the designers is endless. The staff are friendly, prices are really good and completing the scavenger hunt will net you a spin of the wheel for a free PEZ dispenser!

I know I shouldn't share this with random readers, but I have to explain it for you guys to understand why I reviewed it. I have a weird thing for rest stops and 24/7 gas stations no matter where it is. I have no idea why. Maybe its b/c time seems to fall back at rest stops, or the fact that you stop there in transit and it becomes a community of drivers in one, creepy location. Whatever the reason, I love stopping at these places. So anyone as odd as myself, I had to share. Okay this is no ordinary rest stop. First, if you need to use the john don't bother going here b/c they have port-a-pottys and they do not smell "potty". I think I even bought a couple of rocks (I'm a science nut; what do you want from me?). Anyway, everytime I pass that place I feel like I'm hitting the twilight zone because it sure as hell isn't 2007 over at that joint. CHECK IT OUT!!!!!!
