The agent did competently book flights and hotels, and I'm choosing to see that as a "glass half-full". But she needed a couple of reminders and she took a couple weeks longer than she said she would. And really, in a world where we all have TripAdvisor, I'm not sure that saved me more than 4 or 5 hours versus doing it on my own. Where I really could have used help, there was none. I was very clear about the purpose of the trip and the museums we intended to visit. Those museums are currently deluged with tourists and all now require booking time slots weeks in advance. If we had shown up without pre-booked tickets, we would have been turned away, negating the entire purpose of the trip and wasting thousands of dollars. This kind of information - learned from personal trips to the destination or previous bookings - is the real added value a travel agent should provide. Our agent provided none. Luckily for us, I learned about the need for pre-booking from Rick Steves' books before it was too late to get in. It was too late to get the time-slots we wanted, however. Some of the slots were decidedly inconvenient. A few weeks' earlier start would have been extremely helpful - a heads-up from the agent would have made a huge difference. Our agent was simply MIA after the initial bookings. She did finally respond to an email requesting help booking flights from Madrid to Paris - after I'd already booked them myself - with apologies about missing my email in her very full inbox. I had to do all of the research and booking for the museums myself, something that took many hours. Every agency has multiple agents with different levels of experience and enthusiasm for the job. Adler has a good enough local reputation that I'm sure some of the other agents are more helpful. But my experience with my agent was not great. I credit Rick Steves for a successful trip, not my agent. If I hadn't checked those books, it would have been a complete fiasco.

His service is totally reliable, honest and cost effective. He is a great driver. This was so helpful for an older NYC woman who never owned a car and doesn't know her way in CT. Mr. Green cared about my safety. He owns his car which is clean and comfortable. I was able to make reservations with him, which was much better and secure than waiting on a cold train platform hoping a random taxi will come by.

Tickets are easy to purchase, and Metro-North trains run frequently throughout the day, making it a convenient option. Food choices are limited, there is a Dunkin Donuts and a Subway. I do like the Subway here for a quick flatbread to take on the train. I like like the old architecture and this station has some beautiful historical elements. The original station dates back to 1848. That structure was replaced by a new building in 1875, which burned down in 1928. Two years later the current station opened. Parking at the station lot or garage has always been available, only once did we have to use a different garage across the street. Overall, we find it easier, more flexible and a much better value to use the Metro-North out of New Haven Union Station than the Amtrak out of Providence.

This is the local metro north station for New Haven. It is the end of the line where mostly…read moreeveryone gets off. It was my first time so I followed the large crowds. There is an interesting underground path that takes you to the main station. It is a very small station compared to others in New York City or Philly. There was a small gift shop and a Dunkin Donuts which had a large line. Outside there was a crowd of people waiting for an Uber or the local bus to downtown. It cost about $20 each way from the city. It was only my first time in New Haven so I didn't know what to compare it to. It was a cloudy rainy day so everyone seemed miserable. I would have to come back here on a sunny day to see if there is a difference.

I just used this company for my friend's destination wedding. Booking one hotel room and a shuttle…read moreto and from the airport should not be difficult to do at all. I was in contact with Michelle and was very disappointed with everything that happened. I had to cancel my credit card and called her with my new information. She charged the second card, but never updated my information in the system so when she went to charge me for a shuttle (that she wasn't very clear about the price and I needed to ask her to clarify several times) she charged my canceled credit card and was obviously declined. She emailed me asking for a new card instead of calling...I am not sending my credit card info through an email. She never updated my card info on the system which makes me wonder if my card number is floating around her office on a post it somewhere. When we were booking the shuttles, I was very clear saying that I wasn't sure what my friend was doing since she was trying to change her flight and that I was just booking for me. I sent MY flight details and she also booked my friend and charged her too. I had to call and correct this and spoke to another woman in the office who was very understanding and tried her best to remedy the situation. She said that Michelle said my friend sent her flight info when she never did. She booked my friend for the shuttle using my itinerary when my friend wasn't on either flight and wasn't even returning the same day. She mailed us cute little bags with our itinerary and a luggage tag which I did appreciate since it helped me to keep my things organized. My itinerary said that my friend and I had a room with two double beds. When we arrived we were given a king size bed to share. I called the lobby and they said that's what was booked and they didn't have any more double rooms available. As much as I don't mind sharing a bed with my friend, why should I have to? That's not what we booked. I wrote Michelle an email where I was clearly frustrated with all of her errors and she wrote me a really rude response. I understand that I may have come across as irritated and pissed off, but as a client I felt I had the right to be since I've been going back and forth with her all week correcting her mistakes. I chose to ignore her snotty response. Later I got another email telling me if I wanted I could try to change rooms the next day. When you're only in a hotel for two days do you really want to switch rooms for the second night? Everything about this ordeal was awful. I could have done her job in 5 minutes with no mistakes but felt like I had to go through her since the invite for the wedding said to contact her. I'm just happy I booked my own flights so there were no mistakes with that, unlike my friends that booked their flights through her. I recommend doing your own travel booking or using a different company.

Riva's Rides was supposed to pick me and my family up, for a ride to the airport. I'm in a…read morewheelchair, and this was all set up by the Make-A-Wish foundation. The car from Riva's Rides never showed up. We waited for hours, trying to call the company, and only getting voicemails. I would have been stuck at home missing my plane but luckily s neighbor was able to drive me and my family there. I will encourage the Make-A-Wish foundation to pursue a refund.

Considerate of my mom's high pain level, she eased the van gently over each bump and parked to shield her from the bad weather. We will definitely use her service again!
