I was in Jesse's Toys yesterday, confused about what to select for a 1, 5, and 7 year old child. Maggie was enormously helpful, patient (I was indecisive!) and cheerful. A terrific store - I've been a patron for years - and I want to say "thank you!" I watched Maggie take care of 6 other customers during my shopping time, and everyone was clearly delighted as well. It's unusual to have such hands-on human assistance these days, and I wanted to give Jesse's Toys and Maggie a well-deserved shout out. read more

The recent experience with the store manager, Maggie, regarding product knowledge during the selection of toys for my grandchildren was unsatisfactory. As a long-standing customer, I have noticed a significant decline in the store's previous standard, particularly following the departure of Mick and his highly knowledgeable team. The current state of the store no longer aligns with my past positive experiences read more

Oh, to be young again! Jesse's toys in Orange, Connecticut can make anyone feel like a child again. There is a phenomenal selection of toys for children of all ages and interests. The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming. As an adult, I could spend hours checking out all the new arrivals. It was challenging to pick the right items for the different ages on my list. Hopefully the items chosen will be appreciated and enjoyed for many hours. There is also plenty of accessible parking right in front of the shop. read more

Have been going to Jesse's for several years. and recently needed to buy gifts for children of different ages. The owner took the time to listen to my needs, showed me a variety of options and even gave me a quick lesson on how to play each game. Each gift was wrapped and marked so I could tell which gift for which child. The shop is clean, well organized and just plain fun. Absolutely worth slightly higher prices and the kids were thrilled! Thank you Jesse's! read more

Very attentive and knowledgeable. Great selection and service. Would highly recommend. 5 star

What a great store! You will not believe how many really great toys are packed into this store. My friend and I went to buy toys for our grandsons and ended up playing at a table in the back with some really cool puzzle toys for so long we joked they were going to ask us to leave. But they didn't and our grandsons got some really great toys. The prices are not Amazon low, but come on! You get to see, feel and even play with some of the toys there. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I'm happy to support this wonderful local business that has been around as long as I can remember. read more

It's nice that this place is around, it's so hard to find a store simply dedicated to toys and not just a department store that happens to have toys. They have legos and barbies and stuffed animals, but more importantly they have all kinds of interest based toys almost separated by category. This place was a lifesaver during the holidays. I give it four stars only because the prices weren't very competitive but they gotta make their money somehow which is understandable in today's market. read more

I love this sweet little toy store. I am a big time online/amazon shopper for the convenience and low prices. However, it's so nice to visit a real store these days and support a local business. They have a great selection of toys for infants to young kids. I always find something fun and love having an excuse to visit. read more

Best toy store around, along with its 2 sibs in Hamden and guilford. The staff are engaged and helpful and know their stuff. I wouldn't go anywhere else for toys and games in the area. On site wrapping is an added bonus. read more

I buy so much stuff online that I practically have a cardboard box on my doorstep everyday but when I comes to buying toys, I would never go any where else but Jesse's. The staff is AMAZING. I also go in and tell him what weird and vague interest my child has at that stage and they always help me find something special. Their selection is unique and the toys promote creative play. It is obvious that everything they carry is selected with care. Do your kid a favor and stop by. read more
