Someone shopping with me had to use the restroom really bad. He asked an elderly woman behind the counter if he could simply use the staff restroom very shortly, and she rudely denied the request. We ended up having to go all the way down the road for him. Also half of the place doesn't even sell toys! I wouldn't come here too often.

I've pretty much depleted my decades long accumulation of baseball cards so now I'm into selling off my football cards. I walked into DJ's Comics and Cards to sell six vintage New York Giants cards from the late 1950's and early 1960's. I had done my pricing research, and after correcting for condition and selling to a retailer, I had an idea what to ask for. He offered me $5 less than my assesment, so I countered with his cash offer plus $5 in store credit and that clinched the deal. I ended up using the store credit toward buying a Tom Brady and a Kobe Bryant card for my grandson. DJ's made me a very fair offer and we were both satisfied with the outcome. The store has quite a bit more comics than cards, but I sure enjoyed looking at the shopwcases and rummaging through the commons boxes.

I would say my apartment is almost fully furnished by them (if only they sold furniture lol!) Truly one of my favorite shops to visit in the whole state. The staff is always very friendly and their items are reasonably priced. They also host pop-up events a few times a year which offers a great opportunity for local vendors and artists to get some exposure. Can't wait for my next visit!

On a telephone pole, I saw what looked like an advertisement for a carnival, but it was for a new store called Weirdo Wonderland. It said it was a store dedicated to all things strange and unusual. I've been obsessed with horror and sci-fi films my whole life, so it sounded like it was right up my alley. I eventually popped in on a Saturday afternoon. I was stunned when I walked in. Lots and lots of horror and sci-fi collectibles. Tons of old movie posters and art prints. Various props, masks, old toys, plastic model kits, comics, and even old issues of "Famous Monsters of Filmland". The owner was very personable too. I'll definitely be popping in again to check out their collection of creepy chachkies.

This was around noon so it was not closing time; I was not being loud or moving items around like crazy so not sure what the problem was and I spent a good amount in their store. I know this sounds weird but I have never felt that way at any other 5 Below when I went to the Stratford location for a return the staff was so friendly! If you can go to any other location because i'll never go back in this one.
