Beautiful Tomatoes
Ules D.

They are open and stocked!! We bought tomatoes that were absolutely delicious. Amazing sausage that we will be back for. Prices are a little more expensive for meats and fruits than some other farms, but delicious. The woman behind the counter was very nice and they have great hours. Closed Monday's. We will be repeat customers.

We found Stone Gardens on yelp - we were warmly welcomed - this farm has everything- ! We bought onions, sweet peppers & hot & sweet sausage and more & all from their own farm - currently they are finishing a building & will change to all indoors as well as being able to buy all your meat fresh - they only offer frozen meats right now - we will be going back !

This weeks 1/2 share! Wow!!!
Simone C.

Have been part of this co-op for years and years & it keeps getting better & better! Fresh veg, local & great tasting. I share the 1/2 share with my neighbor & there is always such an abundance & variety we can't always consume it all in a week (luckily some things can be frozen). Thank you all for working so hard to bring fresh, local & healthy food. Keep up the great work! Love you guys!

This is a little bit of a drive for me but well worth the trip. They have great produce and sell wine from the local vineyard.

Lovely little farm with fresh everything and meat locked up in it's own refrigerated cooler. Corn goes fast so get it early.

Jones Winery is one of my new favorites in CT! I went for the first time the other day, and…read moreinitially went to the wrong place! Keep in mind that there is a "Jones Family Farm Pumpkinseed Hill" at 120 Beardsley Rd., and then the "Jones Valley Farm/Jones Winery" at 606 Walnut Tree Rd. My GPS accidentally took me to the Pumpkinseed Farm at first, but it wasn't a big deal because the winery is just a few minutes away. Once I was in the right place, a staff member greeted me and gave me the wine/food menu. They have a lot of different areas to sit, including a patio with tables/umbrellas (where they had live music playing), a pavilion with tables underneath, an upper patio that was covered by a pergola with leaves/vines on top, and an inside bar area with seating. The inside bar area has garage doors that were open, leading out to the upper patio. Even though it was a hot day, I sat under the pergola and it was surprisingly cool underneath! After sitting down, a staff member quickly came over and took my drink/food order. I tried a glass of the Sunshine White, which was delicious! It was on the sweeter side though. Keep in mind that they only sell wine by the glass on the menu, but they do have a store where you can buy bottles to go. I also ordered the Simply Cheese Plate, which came with sharp cheddar cheese, Jones Berry Chutney, and sea salt crackers. This was excellent! They also do have a "Light Fare" menu with things like a hummus plate, cheesecake, popcorn, etc. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. They had a "Bouquet Bar" set up where you could buy fresh cut flowers, as well as a small gift shop. Overall a very cool winery in Shelton, I would definitely recommend!

You can check their website for the field locations for picking, call their number for the daily crop report, and make your reservation online. We usually get the large berry box. It is quite large and takes my family of 4 adults a long time to pick, so take that into consideration when deciding what sized basket/box you get. In addition, since the large box can fit so much, be prepared to bake with your fruit or feed many hungry guests!

Of all the sites we visited, this was the stand out. The fruits and vegetables are incredible... literally picture-perfect and bursting with flavor. In addition, the stand has lots of homemade products like mango salsa, horseradish mustard, and the like. These specialty items are delicious! Oh, and don't forget to pick up some of their homemade preserves. My husband and I practically overdosed on peach preserves! There is a beautiful outdoor area where kids can play, which also makes the stand a nice destination for families. Last but not least, the staff that works here is so friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them.

You can read my review of Bubba's Brunch food truck in my review section because the food was delicious. Hindinger Farm sells fresh vegetables, fruits, jams, and other items for children, and it has a beautiful backdrop. One side of the farm overlooks the other side of the farm and the other side of the farmi overlooks this beautiful backdrop of nature on the farm. Hindubger Farms puts on live shows, and you can go shopping. There is also a playground for the kids to play. The playground is fenced in with a picnic area so parents can enjoy their food without worrying about their children's safety. You can always check their website for events, shopping, and find out which food truck will be at the farm that day. The customer service was great, and I will definitely be back.

It is such a pleasant little spot and very easy access to I-95 if you are driving though. During the time of COVID, I don't particularly like that I can't pick up a head of cauliflower or cabbage and instead have to ask the people behind the stand to do it for me. I thought the mask wearing was to prevent the spread of the virus? It's news to me that one's hands are also allegedly carriers. In that case, I'm surprised the Governor of the persons residing in each STATE, do not also mandate glove wearing. I know the farm is only following orders so it's nothing against them at all. That being said, love love love this farm. Please continue to support local businesses. The connections and the bonds you create with those in your community will be what unite us and propel us forward and away from the current fear based reality.
