needed to get my truck towed to my home. conveniently there was already a Beard's Towing flatbed in the parking lot. The driver was unloading a car and said I'd need to call their office to get "a quote". Sat on the phone with a lady in their office for 20min before she came back to tell me $456.23 to tow my C2500 truck 6 blocks, maybe one mile to my home. I asked her to repeat the price and she said the same. I told her she's nuts, and I could call anywhere else for $120 to $125, especially with their driver standing right there, and his tow truck empty and ready to go. I literally just needed it dropped off in front of my home, 6 blocks away. Needless to say, I contacted B&W Wrecker Service. They arrived quickly and their cash price was $125. Do NOT give this place business. Got my car sent here after a wreck, I arrived at around 6PM paid 400 to get it taken out, was planning on heading back home while I waited for the tow truck to come pick it up as it was going to take a while through Statefarm insurance, then the woman at the front tells me I can't leave the establishment until the tow truck gets here for pickup (first time I've ever heard of this). Statefarm was able to send someone out and when they got here they weren't allowed entry to go pick up the car because one of their 3 licenses (TDL, PDLR, and Cab Card) was expired, which is understandable. During this whole time they kept saying if we paid an extra $50 they can bring it out to the front and the tow truck could pick it up no problem. I had to go through Statefarm again and after multiple attempts of them calling Beards Towing to communicate with them and nobody picking up they finally responded. During this time there were 2 employees there ignoring the phone calls as I could hear them ringing and they were standing right there. Eventually one of the women comes to the front and asks if my car was through Statefarm and I confirm and she says "they just said its they're not going to be here until 10PM so you're going to have to wait" and laughs then goes to the back (this was around 7:30PM). I had just had a car accident a few hours before and was supposed to be resting at home, so after a few attempts of going back and forth they finally said I could go home and come back later. The tow truck driver and I arrived back here right around 9:55PM and went inside, checked in and after a few minutes Desiree said we could go back outside and they would open up the gate so that he could go through and pick up the car. We go wait outside, 10:25 rolls around and I go inside to see what the hold up was, I wait inside for around 7-8 minutes and knocked multiple times and nobody would come out. I end up calling the Beards Towing number and get an answer and get put on hold for around 5 minutes. I finally get a response and I say, "hey I've been waiting here in the front for over 10 minutes" and Desiree cuts me off and says "you've only been waiting for like 2 minutes" then hangs up the phone. Desiree comes to the front and asks what's wrong, I tell her we've been waiting for around 40 minutes for someone to open up the gate so we can get my car and leave, she says we just have to wait, i ask her if she can check and see how long its going to take and she walkie talkies someone in the back and they immediately say you can let them through. We were finally able to get the car out. Something that should've been 15 minutes tops ended up getting dragged out to an hour. This is the most unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. It was not just me being treated like this, I witnessed other customers being talked to the same way, getting eye rolls, attitude, etc. This is a problem that needs to be addressed, as it is unacceptable for a business to treat customers this way. read more

Horrible customer service. My car was towed here after a wreck by APD, talked to someone on the phone about my car but when I got up to the lot I was told services ended at four. I mentioned that was never said on the phone so they sent someone else to tell me the same thing. Tried to pay for my car to get out the woman whole walked off & never came back. Straight trash and thieves. I did not pick them, they were called after was rear ended. My trunk was completely smashed in but someone went through the backseat and stole items of value. This place is horrible. First of all the hours are very limited for property retrieval M-F 9-4, then once you're here they only have one person working the desk and one person walking customers out to the tow yard to your vehicle. First off, it's Monday and this department is closed over the weekend so you have people coming for their cars that were towed from the city for the last 3 days. You know it's going to be busy and the hours are limited so why not be prepared? No one wants to wait for over an hour to get a few things from a car and take pics in my case because the car was totaled. Furthermore who wants to anticipate the process of such a horrible accident. The workers were nice except for one lady who seemed annoyed after I rang the bell to ask a question. My issue is, this company tows for several cities in this area, the lot is clearly full of cars and customers so why not spend the extra money (revenue) on payroll to make sure customers are taken care of efficiently?? My time is too precious to waste waiting in 100 degree weather because the business is understaffed and inconsiderate of their customers' time. These guys are shysters and liars. I asked the tow truck driver to tow it to my mechanic's shop. He told me he would have to pay him $400 on the spot and that it would be cheaper to tow it to his place. I called his place and was told I owed $616 and some change, and that it would be an additional $240 to take it to my shop. Saddest part is that the Mansfield Police Department said it was their business, yet Beard's is a contractor for them. Sounds like something rotten to me. read more

This is simply the worst run business I have seen. My brother and I went to pick up a family member's car from a fender bender. There are signs everywhere on what not to do. I rang the bell once and a lady behind the window just glared and walked away. And it just went downhill from there. 25 minutes later, another person came to the window to help us. She was very abrasive and avoided questions. All in All, took almost 3 hours to retrieve our vehicle. 100 degree day with no bathroom or water. They couldn't care less about customer service. They overcharged on mileage, added some nice fees and almost 500 bucks later, we retrieved the vehicle. They just suck, don't trade with them if u can help it. Oh and by the way Fort Worth permanently cancelled their contract due to fraudulent business practices. Hard to believe they are still in business. read more

They are beyond horrible police makes it even worse... they told me it would be 250 to take my truck to QT that was 0.1 miles away and then told me it was my best interest to just let it go to the impound and it would be the same price but would be charged 24 dollars every 24 hours but come to find our my total was really 400 dollars bc they want me to pay they toll ticket and it's just a very bad company and they don't even give they drivers the correct information or anything!! This is the single worst customer service I have received in my ENTIRE LIFE. It took just shy of 3 hours to retrieve my mother's car after it was sent there after an accident. THREE HOURS. They said they had to 'calculate' my charges. I said I called this morning and spoken with a lady and she gave the total of the bill. I asked - Why are recalculating my bill? The worker said we don't give out estimates over the phone and went back to confer with her coworkers. 'Nope, nobody gave you an estimate". So now I'm a liar. I finally got the bill. Surprise, it was the same amount that I was quoted on the phone! You can't control where the police send your car. They have you over the barrel and they know it. This place is a nightmare. Got in a wreck at no fault of my own and a random guy approached me in the ambulance, took my keys and told me he was taking my car. Told me I could come get my stuff from my car "any time". Had to arrange my husband taking off work to drive me all the way over there, waited in line only to be told at 4:08 that we can't get our stuff after 4. They are open 24 hours, people everywhere, and currently helping another person get their stuff, but refused to let us walk onto the lot with the other person to grab ours. Props to my man Cameron, who was helpful, friendly, and patient as I retrieved belongings from what used to be my car -- even offering to pull the heavy wagon I was struggling to manoeuvre around piles of inoperable vehicles! I really, really ... REALLY appreciated his kindness given the less-than-pleasant circumstances. Yes, the wait was a little long and the desk clerks unfriendly, but expecting five-star service from a city-contractor towing service is more than a little naïve. This is not a hotel, luxury spa, or restaurant: you come here because you *have* to, not because you *want* to, and you don't get to simply vote with your feet if your expectations aren't met. And frankly, with all the oafishness and hostility these people must have to deal with hourly from behind bulletproof glass, I was more than happy to settle for basic respect. As long as you come with a book, an hour or two to spare, and skin a little thicker than usual, you'll be just fine. Drive safe now, and watch out for fire hydrants when you parallel-park. read more

They deliberately towed my car from my apartment complex knowing it was the wrong vehicle, they took pictures of the vehicle in to be towed, a Volkswagen Jetta same color as mine, 4 door black, paper tags, no parking permit, tags expired, my vehicle was clearly up to par, inspection current, parking permit, Hyundai Elantra.10 spaces down from vehicle they took pictures of and substituted my car info with the pictures of vehicle to be towed. Towed my car because of a wreck. Staff is by far the worst people to be around. They expect you to get your belongings out of vehicle when your vehicle is 2-3 inches away from other vehicles? I understand making room but when you have 3-4 employees standing around the least they can do is show some courtesy? Also, if you have a large amount of belongings in your vehicle be prepared to do a lot of walking because they will not let you pull your rental next to your totaled vehicle? They towed my car following a wreck. Went to get personal belongings out and they wanted to charge me $25 to access my own car and air could be reimbursed by the insurance. When I told them I didn't have $25 dollars today, they said to come back when I did. I called my insurance and my insurance called them. My insurance worked out something for the 25 dollars, and that is the only reason they get 3 stars. However, they are making sure I have to wait for them. I'll update on how long they make me wait to access. I didn't wait long and one of the owners explained it is an admin fee from the city of Fort Worth. This is an incredible company! Everyone I encountered was very professional and helpful. They were very careful loading my car onto the flatbed. It can be a little uneasy watching someone maneuver your car. I felt very confident that my car was going to be fine. I highly recommend this company. read more

Car was towed here after an accident, I did not have a choice of who towed it due to Arlington Police Department's contract with Beard's. I was told that Beard's Towing will ABSOLUTELY NOT let you onto the lot to retrieve your belongings, that I had to wait until my insurance moved the vehicle. Well my insurance picked up the vehicle and I went to retrieve my personal belongings and to my surprise all of my stuff was stolen. So they forced me to send my car here only for the "reputable business" to ransack my vehicle. read more

The 2 women in the front office have the worst attitude. we rang the bell and no one will come help. When one lady who never told us her name came up, she always came with an attitude. She lied to us the whole time saying someone was coming to get our car out. we waited 4 hours and we asked for an ETA on the driver who was coming to help and she didn't give us information. the person who released the car wa a there the whole time and she still didn't give us information. she was slow to do everything!! but so fast to take payment. she had a driver who didn't know how to use the machine to remove 3 cars aparantley. the two ladies were the biggest problem. they were slow and that was the worst attitude someone can have. we were ignored and maybe it was cause we were Hispanic. you can tell the way they were looking at us and not helping what'sover. we highly recommend to take a chair and maybe some chips cause you'll be waiting forever and still not get your car. no customer service, bad attitude. she couldve told us since the beginning that we weren't going to get our car out. this place is a scam, whatever you want to call it! if there's any way I can speak to someone above them, please reach out to me! read more

Be prepared to wait at least an hour. They have a bell but I don't know why because no one comes whenever you ring it. Took 3 times of going up there just to get my belongings out of the car. Girls that work there have attitudes as if your bothering them sitting on there phones. Refused to give me my items from my vehicle over the weekend. I had been hit by a semi and knocked un conscious and am from ou of town to visit a family member who had a stroke. They would not let me see my car on the weekend before I left or get any of my items including wife glasses and cellphone. In order to have a friend pick up the item they require you send them a notarized form. read more

Incredible customer service. I had to have my car towed to Audi of Fort Worth (for the fourth time) and Beard's is who they recommended. They arrived promptly and the guy who loaded my car (Michael) was more careful and meticulous than any other guy I've ever seen. Sometimes the job is so cringe worthy that I have to look away, but Michael took plenty of time and then even strapped down each of my wheels to be certain it was secure. Although I hope I never have need of a tow again, if I do, Beard's will be the first place I call. read more

This company, by far, has the worst customer service and lack of care of any company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I went to see my vehicle, that my girlfriend had wrecked about 3 miles from their shop. By the time I got to the scene of the accident, the Forest Hill Police Department had called Beards Towing to tow my car so I was not able to see it. After picking up my girlfriend, I went to beards towing to see the car but was completely refused access to my vehicle which i held title to. They saif it would be held for processing until 9am and then it would take some time to process it...and then I could see my car. I live very far away and although they had 3-4 people to tell me to get off their property, they dif not hve any people available to let me see my car to take picturea of the damage for 2 minutes. Needless to say, I felt as though they were intending to do illegal things with my vehicle, based on their behavior, so I called the Fort Worth Police Department because the lot was located in their jurisdiction. When they arrived, they spoke to the shop first even though I called in the report. After the police spoke with the rude lady that runs the service desk, they police spoke with me and said I was not allowed on the property and that I would need to get a representative to get my car. The police haf the back of this company with such furver that it would seem they got a kickback in some way for utilizing their tow services. I then had the vehicle towed by a different company later that day to my repair shop and Beards issued an astrinomical bill to my insurance company to tow the vehicle 3 miles and store it for about 5 hours. This company should be watched very very carefully if you use their services...and if they show up on you accident scene, and were called by any PD, you should refuse their service...it is your right to do so. Oh...by the way...this was a very tramatic 3 car hit-and-run accident, and my girlfriend (who was with me) was in a bit of pain and quite distraught. I explained this to the office clerk that runs the window, and she seriously could have cared less about our situation....even though they had plenty of staff on site to accomodate a 2 minute request for pictures of the vehicle. read more

Every single employee was incredibly rude and condescending, manager included. Even the way they greet you when you walk up to the window is unwelcoming. They really go out of their way to do anything for you to not be able to get your vehicle back. Not to mention the fact that I was told that it would be a $21 charge for every additional day it was there. But the employee conveniently left out the fact that the first 24 hours is an additional $50 and everyday after that would be $21. Had to give them totaled car and pay them 550$. Thought we had everything out of car at scene. Nope got kids $300 Nintendo Switch also, then told me they don"t go through the car.Really you don"t take anything of value, even after you take Title? OH bill was $1008 before I surrendered title. Clown tells me what hard job it was pulling car on flatbed and clean up on rural road no traffic, cop even helped him clean debris. So I call when bill is delivered registered mail 2 days later expecting 2 maybe 3 hundred bucks.NOPE ONE THOUSAND EIGHT!!! Tell them I'll be there in the morning with title arrive told I can pay reduced amount but no receipt because BOSS not there? Boss calls says I can get a receipt,OK. Never directed to car nothing bye have a nice day, thought all stuff was out of car but would have checked if asked.
