We drop off the vehicle and leave and within 30min we were called back for them to tell us it was the starter and that it would cost them $800 to fix. Knowing it's not an $800 job we brought it home and i removed the starter. Brought the starter up to an Autozone to have it bench tested and the starter is perfectly fine across all tests. Annoying I had to remove it to find that out but it is what it is. Just thought I would give a friendly warning to all of those who think about using them. I headed there and called to verify I could be seen, they told me they can't do it today because they close in an hour. I explained I was told to come bck today at 5 and I took off early to make it there.. he told me to come in the morning I told him I can't do that because I work. He told me that I could come tomorrow after 5 which doesn't make sense if he's telling me they can't do it today at 5 because they close at 6.. so he told me to make it easier on the both of us to just request a refund from Groupon. When he should've just assisted me since I was told in person to come back today at 5. They should've never told me that if they knew they wouldn't be able to assist me 1 hour before closing. Then to tell me to come back the next day after 5 is crazy. 0 fucking stars DO NOT RECOMMEND. Wouldn't have taken but maybe 30 minutes to do my alignment. Then told me to make an appointment when I did that Saturday and never got confirmation so I just pulled up(first mistake). But the mechanic there told me he would help me today. So i took his word which was my second mistake!!!! Oh and I can't get a refund just fucking Groupon bucks. Complet fckin scam!!!

My car was low in refrigerant (which is what I figured), but the mechanic ran all the appropriate tests to make sure I didn't have a leak or damaged parts. As he was working on my car, he was talking me through exactly what he was doing. This helped me feel reassured that he wasn't breaking other parts of my car. Overall, I had an awesome experience and my AC is definitely working again. The price was a bit steep, but given the rarity in finding a store that would service cars that only use R-12 refrigerant, I think the price was right. I definitely recommend this place!

I am a service technician and have never treated a customer the way he does. He is where every service manager needs to send their techs to demonstrate how NOT to treat customers. BTW, cash only. UPDATE...the business owner replied to this review, apparently he pissed someone else off because I paid in full, money was not even an issue, had to pull cash from ATM next door (because the one in front of the shop is non functional) This is a different customer, I was not rude, I was silently pissed. He did not stop working on else's vehicle to work on mine, after waiting 3 hours with no estimate on time on even looking at mine, I was literary on the phone with another shop a mile away when he finally freed up. The ONLY reason I used this shop is because it was the closest one where I broke down and the lady who answered the phone said wouldn't be a problem. After dealing with this, I would not even go back for warranty work if I needed it.

Tommy just came through for us again. My son Eric was driving the old Tahoe and started noticing a coolant leak. He diagnosed it as a water pump and we gave Eric the number for Quantum. Tommy took it in, diagnosed it as a shot water pump and gave me a quote with options for replacing with an original Chevy part or a less expensive aftermarket that he knew to be reliable. Frankly, the quote was hundreds less than I expected. I am a fairly decent mechanic and would gladly pay his quoted price. He got the work done the day he was able to diagnose the problem. On time, exactly as quoted and functioning perfectly. I have recommended Quantum to friends for a decade and they all agree that you get honest work done right at a fair price. Everything you need in a mechanic shop!

Engine wasn't starting immediately after turning the key. They performed their analysis and recommended a new starter and battery cables, for which they wanted to charge me $1,400+. I previously had the MC there for the same problem and, after $400+ in analysis charges, it was a $20 gas cap. Wanting a second opinion, I scheduled an appointment with Quantum. Due to their high volume of work, I had to wait 2-1/2 weeks, but the wait was well worth it. Tommy, the owner, looked at the battery cables and starter and said there was no problem with them. However, apparently some General Motors vehicles have this starting problem. Not enough fuel is getting to the fuel injectors when the key is turned. He pressure-checked the fuel pump and found it to be the problem. Rather than spending $1,200+, he showed me how to ensure the injectors have enough fuel so the engine will start on the first turn of the key. I've had cars serviced over 50+ years and Tommy is the first mechanic that took his time to fully explain the issue and the solution. He knows what he's doing and most importantly, he's honest. You can't go wrong with Quantum Mechanix.
