From early conversations with the event manager to the way the entire staff treated me yesterday on-site, Vault's customer service is unmatched. I'd been exchanging emails with Sarah (the event manager) since February to ensure the space was the right fit. Sarah answered all my questions, responded to me in a timely manner, provided ample time for my bridesmaids and I to set up decor and we were permitted to bring our own cake and desserts. The bartender allowed me to Airdrop my custom bridal shower playlist to an iPad that was connected to their surround sound speakers so I could play the music I intended to play. She was attentive, kind and placed purses and miscellaneous items in the back area so it wouldn't be in guest view. She cut the cake for us towards the end of the event. Truly such outstanding service. The event space is located downstairs, completely separate from the main dining area and there is a private restroom. It was a wonderful size for my guest count of 16 people. Everyone in attendance raved about the chicken nachos and the pizza. I personally loved the Wild Mushroom pizza. The food kept getting refilled as the day went on. Each item was labeled and the bar had several menus to look at. This was executed PERFECTLY. I had such a positive experience and would highly recommend Vault Brewing Co. for all your event needs!

I couldn't stay long, so I didn't get to try the food, but I saw that they seemed to have a pretty good happy hour food deal on a burger for Thursdays. Pretty clean inside, and overall it's a nice spot, but the bathroom is quite a walk from the main bar! Looks like they have a lot of room in there potentially for private parties and such too, which is cool. We had a table in the corner near the front door, which wasn't in very clear view of the waitstaff, so it was a bit hard to get their attention, though once they had our attention, the server was very friendly and helpful. I'd return for another try, and might plan a future happy hour after work there! It's only about ten minutes from the office.

This was formerly yet another of their restaurants called Union Boil which we weren't a fan of. The name Pennytown pays homage to the original name of the town. There is an English Pub motif and a cozy feel inside. We came to try their happy hour and it far exceeded our expectations. We tried the white bean hummus, the fried cauliflower, and the zucchini Frite. These were not frozen typical bar food apps. They were definitely hand cut from fresh veggies and so delicious. We must have said wow with every bite. During happy hour, weekdays between 4-6 there's a nice selection of apps for half price and drinks and wines were only $5. Service was also great and the appetizer portions were so big, two of us ended up not being able to even finish them. Our bill was $30 for 3 giant and delicious apps, and 3 drinks. Where can you get that these days? We will definitely be frequenting this happy hour and trying some other things on the menu as well. The bar pies looked delicious and they had some nice specials posted on the blackboard too.

The only reason I didn't make this a five out of five was that I felt that it was very limited on the happy hour menu and wind up spending a lot more than I anticipated because we ordered off the regular menu in addition to just the hot wings and I'm not even sure if I drink choices. The beers were on the happy hour unless it was like two or three on tap so that was a little bothersome for me. It was hard to sort of follow what is and what Isn't but I think we'll give it a fair. Try one another time when Fifa games are not going on. We did order wings off the happy hour menu, but then from the regular menu I had the sesame tuna tacos instead of fries which I hate I had brussels sprouts but again there's an up charge to do that. My wife had the half cheesesteak she added sautéed peppers she added a chipotle. Aïoli and she also swapped out tater tots for whatever the fried choice was but everything was at an up charge. Food was tasty was good but again like I said I was coming for happy hour and I felt like I wasn't happy with the hour.

They do have seating downstairs but it was full when we got there. Our waitress came quickly(wish I remembered her name) and welcomed us. We told her we were in no rush and wanted to take our time. The drink and wine menu was very nice. All 3 of them of them had wine and I had an old fashioned. It was very good. We ordered the wings and nachos. Both were good but the nachos would have been good with some queso on them. They were a little dry. I special which was the prime rib sandwich and it was very good. Fries were good. My wife and friend both had burgers and said they were delicious. My other friend had the salad and said it was good. The restaurant is in an old building that is really cool. It was very clean. The service was a bit strange. We stood at the hostess stand with no one saying anything to anyone until I let her know we would just sit outside. We didn't ask for anything special or extra and the waiter returned to our table enough that it became somewhat uncomfortable like he wanted us to go, which we did.

There was honestly no favorite amongst them- each one was perfect. We cleaned all three plates! Overall, the Rocky Hill Inn was worth the 45 minute drive. The French onion soup is just as good and one of the best in the area. It's so good we had it when it was over 95° degrees outside and still worth it. They've changed the chicken meatballs in the last 2 years since I've been there - much less slaw (which was a unique highlight). These were dry and tasted overcooked and tough. My chicken Milanese was also overcooked and tough. The chicken was right at that cusp of brown to burnt with some pieces being burnt and difficult to chew. My husband's fried chicken from his sandwich (much much thicker piece of chicken) was fine so it makes me wonder if it was cooked at the same time. The prices are still reasonable for a nicer pub / gastropub which is appreciated.
