If I could give a 1000 I wood (haha get it, a pun, intended!) I have used these guys, now for the 3rd or 4th year.... Always professional, on-time and best yet, the CLEAN UP! That was new this year, not that I cared because I don't stack, I pay them to stack and I wouldn't mind sweeping up some scraps.. but this time... ALL DONE! WIthin 30 mins nontheless... AND on top of it, I had to make a last minute request to come early in the day (because of travel) and they accommodated me!!! Thank you guys for EVERY Year doing this. I really really appreciate it and anyone looking for wood, it's good solid quality hardwood. I get the Almond (I know the expensive one) but the wood is well seasoned and heats my 2500 sq ft house all winter long.... read more

Made our winter with the wood they provided for our fires. Delivery was so convenient. Almost mind bogglingly expensive but maybe that's just the Bay Area - wood was high quality and worth what we paid for it. Planning to order from Bear Bottom Farms again next season. read more

I can't saw and chop wood anymore ,like i used to. I like to burn wood in my stove however. For now ,I can still afford to buy wood. Bear Bottom Farms has kept me supplied for the past few years. Their quality of wood is exceptional , and their service is superlative!!!! I highly recommend them for quality ,quantity , and service!!!!! They staked it for me for an additional charge. (It's worth the additional charge to watch how they do it)!!! Thanks Guys!!!! read more

Quality firewood (very little smoke which is really important to my cranky sinuses), great communication fast and efficient delivery.

We've gotten a quarter cord the last two years and pick it up ourselves since I have a truck. The will call is super easy but I recommend getting there a few minutes before it opens. Half almond and half oak is my preference. read more

Quick easy on time delivery. Wood is well seasoned and size correctly for my fireplace.

I used these guys every year for a firewood delivery. They are awesome, super reliable, and their prices are really good. Highly recommend. read more

Honest load loaded for me good dry wood Good service Honored price quoted on yelp Would highly recommend this business read more

Great. Ordered 1/3 cord for the winter. They brought it up my driveway onto the covered wood rack I had just purchased and put together. The almond wood burns well, hot, and lasts hours, unlike the cheap wood from the super market. read more

They have five stars for a reason. Josh has been super helpful in selecting the type of wood and origami I g my order. And their team that delivers and stacks the wood is super friendly and amazing. They are fast, efficient, and did I say super friendly lol. I have also bought wood from them twice this season. No question they are the place to get your fire wood. Also the wood is clean and not wet. It burns great. Highly recommend. read more

Great people with agood selection I use pecan and they always have it fresh wood for the bbq

Recently had a camping trip lined up. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful for what kind of wood and how much I would need for the duration of the trip. Everyone was super friendly and it was an extremely easy experience. My family stayed warm and had fun so I'm looking forward to using them again for my next trip. read more

I can't say enough good things about my experience picking up firewood at Bear Bottom Farms for my potbelly stove! I'm a small-order customer (a wheelbarrow's worth of almond-walnut mix) but I got top advice and service like anyone who might want bigger orders. Josh was a pleasure to work with from initial inquiry to loading my truck. The crew was working hard but still had smiles and help, too. I'll go back again and I recommend them. They deliver, too, in case you were wondering. read more

I bought a full cord of almost last year from Bear Bottom Farms and can confirm 5 star reviews are well deserved. The wood is dry, burns very well and is good sized. I'm almost finished & will definitely order again! read more

Bought 2 cords of woods from Josh last week. A cord to my house and a cord to my friend's house down the street. The guys who delivered it was punctual and quick at unloading the woods. After we stacked the woods we noticed we were missing a little bit on both houses. We took pictures along with measurements to show Josh that we were a little bit short on the woods. Josh immediately offered to make us whole with more woods. He then apologized and told me this is not the game that they play and he doesn't know why they were short to begin with. Everyone makes mistakes(employees especially) and as long as the business owner steps up and solves the problem then this is a business worth doing business with. Bear bottom farms may not be the cheapest out there but I can tell you I will be buying from them for a very long time. read more

This is the first time I bought a 1/4 cord of wood for my fireplace. Before this, I've always just bought wood bundles from Lowes / Home Depot, etc. I'm thoroughly impressed by how good the wood they delivered is -- it burns hot and thoroughly, leaving only ashes behind. Has a nice crackle to it as well. Absolutely love it! read more

Received 4 cords of almond delivered & stacked. The size & quality of the wood is excellent and the interaction with Bear Bottom Farms was easy. Follow-up emails with info & changes were quick, and the guys who delivered and stacked did a fantastic job. I highly recommend Bear Bottom Farms and Don & Patrick for good service & a quality product. read more

Very good quality wood. Fully seasoned. Delivered on time. Fair pricing. Second time I've ordered from Bear Bottom. Will buy again. I recommend this business for your firewood needs. read more

These folks are the best. I burn a lot of wood, this year heating my small home EXCLUSIVELY with firewood, and I like their wood the best. There are local firewood places that sell wood for less, and probably BBF shouldn't charge sales tax on their delivery charge, but it's a minor quibble and I continue to come back to them because their wood is of the highest quality and I can count on them. Their truck is divided into cube spaces so you can see that you are getting a full cord or half cord. I have never felt shorted. You get a specified delivery date and approximate time, and can customize your order based on size, type of wood, and large/small mix. The driver & helper are friendly and professional, dropping the wood exactly where you want it. They might stack for you if they have time and you're willing to incentivize them with a little cash, but so far I do that part myself. read more

Responsive and did a great job delivering and stacking the wood neatly. Highly recommend them.

Great place to pickup wood for your pizza oven. They split the wood specially for the oven and you can purchase in bags.

Great firewood, nice people. Ordered a cord of Oak and it showed up 3 days later no problem.

Easy communication via Yelp. Polite service. Scheduling was not a problem and the delivery & stacking was quick and easy. Book-marking these guys for next year! read more

Great communication and friendly service. Took great care in stacking the wood so it was sturdy.

Prompt communication and delivery just two days after contacting. Delivery came right on time as well - will definitely order again!

I've worked with several different folks here in securing firewood and cooking splits over the last year. Everyone has been friendly, professional and even accommodating. The quality of the splits have been really good but may require a little work depending on your application or size of your cooker. Price wise this place beats all the local hardware stores hands down. Happy to make the trip here for the large white bags of quality splits! read more

Great price for food quality smoking wood. Bought a 50 lb bag. Will last me a while.

Found this firewood supplier only 15 minutes from home. They had an abundant supply of firewood judging by the amount they had on the property and the two semi-trailers parked out front. I think I got a great price on almond wood but I will also be trying the other three types they have available: oak, cherry and walnut. The people were friendly and informative with my question since this is my first time buying from a bulk supplier rather than a local supermarket or Home Depot bundles. Will definitely be coming back. read more

BEST FIREWOOD IN 17 YEARS! This was our first year ordering from Bear Bottom Farms since moving back to Marin. (The last 17 years, we ordered from the place my parents ordered from in the 80's and 90's.) They were very responsive. They talked me through why certain species of work were better for open fireplaces vs. wood stoves, and we're just super-helpful. (We opted for a cord of Almond.) Delivery was right on time, and their Delivery Driver was super helpful. The wood was well split/sized. (This has been a problem with several past years, where I would have to sort small "starter" pieces from the main delivery.) But Bear Bottom Farms' wood was really well-sorted and a perfect mix of the sizes needed. And now that we've had a few fires, we know the wood is really well seasoned and burns beautifully. Thank you Bear Bottom Farms! read more

Home delivery, wood split as requested. This is the second time I have purchased from them, and both times I have been satisfied with both their service and their product. read more

Can't tell you how many wood places I reached out to, slow response times or no response. BBF were responsive returned my call quickly. Delivery was super easy and quick delivery and the wood has been great, cut perfectly too! read more

So I just purchased a fire pit that prefers natural wood than Duraflame or the pine you get in a box from your local store. I didn't know this little detail before buying this fire pit. Luckily, I found Bear Bottom Farms and they're only 10 minutes away. From the pictures on the web, I wasn't sure if their wood would fit in my pit. I gave them a call and inquired about their pizza cut wood. After a few back and forth questions and answering, I found out their logs would work for our pit. She was so helpful and patient with me. I drove over there. I initially wanted oak but I'd have to wait for it to be cut. They offered Cherry wood that was already bagged and ready to go. Oh man! This stuff smells so good! I got a bag for $20 I think? If I had the room or set up, I would've bought a cord as I love having the fire going every weekend. These folks are pretty knowledgable and friendly. If you know what kind of wood you want and how much, you can call them ahead of time and it'll be ready for pick up. They'll load it into your car for you as well. I've already been back a few times :-) read more

They responded quickly and we decided to drive over to pick up a barrel of almond firewood. The price was very reasonable. They were efficient, loaded the logs to the car. Great experience. Will definitely go over again when we run out. read more

I ordered a cord of Oak over the phone, received a date of delivery...when they called to remind me, they rood a credit card for payment and then delivered exactly on time. The driver was nice and respectful and put the wood where we requested. Cannot say enough good things...and to top it off, we are warm and cozy with a fireplace that does not require the gas being on because the wood is so ready to burn on its own because of the quality of the wood. read more
