This is not a food review. Because I did not get the chance to order. We came in, a family of four. I made eye contact with three different people behind the counter. No greeting. No verbal acknowledgment. Not a big deal, they seemed busy. There were two registers. We stood at the second register that faced their food menu. We were there for long enough that we had all decided what we were going to order. In that time, another customer came on behind us. Suddenly, a woman came to the register that was slightly behind us and took the order of the customer behind us. Again, at this point no one has even acknowledged our existence. My wife commented, in a voice loud enough to be heard, "oh, o guess we went to the wrong register," hoping to elicit SOME response. Absolutely nothing. Not from the woman helping the other customer, not from the guy chopping veggies, not from the guy who sounded like a manager (to be fair clearly training an employee) or that employee. We stood for another 10 seconds. I know. Because I counted. Then my wife and I decided that they clearly didn't need our business. So we left. Still never being spoken to by anyone there. I am currently sitting at the Big Boy restaurant down the road. Good food. Good service. read more

Better than expected. We went here for breakfast, in part because it was the only "non-chain" option near our AirBnB. Went back the next day exclusively because of the great experience the first day. Not a single employee had on a mask or are taking any precautions to stop the spread of the global pandemic that the entire world is fighting. When you pull into the parking lot you will see a sweatshirt in the window mocking you if you are wearing a mask. It didn't register prior to me walking in what was being said. I had soup and a sandwich and a mini pecan pie for desert last night and everything was delicious! We returned for breakfast today and again we very satisfied with our meal. I am from out of state, on my way to my next destination, and didn't know where to stop for breakfast, and found this gem. Although, it was hard to choose my breakfast meal, I decided on the pastrami, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich, on ancient grains bread. It was exceptional! Delicious! It was fresh and not overly sweet. My dining partner had corn chowder which she said tasted wonderful. She also had a chicken salad sandwich with dill pickle and chips. We ordered 6 deli sandwiches and this is my experience: slow service and sandwiches were very small and mediocre at best. Perhaps my greatest disappointment is their flagrant display of their political views (on their building and on their employee work shirts). I may have tried them again to see if the service and food got better but we won't be back due to mixing their business with politics. read more

I didn't know that they would have quite the variety of donuts there, so I am curious to try there other donuts when I swing by there again. The two donuts I liked there was the fruity pebble donut & the maple long john. Fresh fruity pebbles on a donut is a delight and the Maple long john was delicious, but felt it needed a bit more cream than what I got in it. I'd never been to Beans, but had heard several friends recommend it, so my family and some friends decided to check it out. They were busy on a Friday night, but we got a table and it didn't take too long to order at the counter. I ordered the Blue Bistro sans the cheese. Hubby ordered the World famous club and the kids got grilled cheese and mac & cheese. We all enjoyed our meals, the house sauce on my sandwich was delicious with a bit of a kick to it. My husband's club was huge and he thought it was great. The meals are served with a bakery item of the day. We got doughnut holes and they were tasty. We decided to try some dessert since the skillet sundaes looked really good. The kids got cones and we split a sharable Reese Moose Trail skillet sundae. It was huge! And so delicious. Me and my family have been frequent patrons of this establishment and have, generally been pleased with the quality of their food. Their service, although a bit slower than other establishments, is usually very good and my family has always raved about their staff. With this said, My family and I will no longer patronize this establishment because of their disregard for public safety in this COVID pandemic. In my profession I wear a mask and a shield all day every day. Admittedly, it may be a bit inconvenient but I've been taught to, always, go the extra mile to protect my family and my fellow man. I thought the ownership of this establishment shared this same value but their actions, of late, prove otherwise. I can not buy into the line of thinking that wearing a mask is an infringement of my rights and this step would not be necessary if everyone was willing to prioritize the health of their neighbors. It's apparent that the health and safety of the community is not a priority to the management of "Beans" and, in a business that is totally reliant on community support, it's not only disappointing, but it's also immoral and unethical. I'll be praying that management rethinks this indefensible position. read more
