Pleasantly surprised by how many food & drink options this little cafe had!!! Came here on a Sunday around noon after a spray tan down the way because we were craving boba tea & coffee. Snagged a gluten free PB Cookie, strawberry shortcake latte, and lavender boba tea. DELICIOUS!!!! Prices aren't bad either! I wish there were more locations!! Parking: there is a structure just around the corner that offers FREE parking if under an hour. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the place was very small compared to its boasting number of customers. Being on the corner of a downtown area is an amazing location to drive in customers but the physical space is unfortunate for them. This is obviously not their fault whatsoever but highly encourage shopping around for a bigger location if/when a lease expires.

This was a few months back, but I still wanted to give them a shout out for everything about this coffee shop. Located right downtown, we went on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. Long line but didn't bother us as we expected it. Service great, lattes were hot and good, store was clean and so was the bathroom. We were able to snag a table which I'm sure doesn't always happen when they're that busy. Did notice some people on computers which I'm ok with, but if it was me I'd offer up the extra seats to people when it's that crowded. Just saying....I don't remember the prices at that time, but we choose here because their prices were better than ANY OTHER COFFEE SHOP in that area. It was budget friendly for sure. This was about 3 months ago, so just check online menu if you need to know ahead of time.

Coffee shop is very cute. Great place to study or WFH. The employee gave me a great suggestion for my order. Very nice staff. Latte tasted great. Reasonably priced (way cheaper than starbucks). 10/10.

Cold brew

I ordered a cold brew with almond milk and the barista put this on the counter and didn't think twice about it. I even tried to stir it multiple times. Thanks for my curdled milk :(

What a fantastic little coffee spot. I asked if I could have my coffee in a mug instead of a to go cup and they happily obliged! There's just something about wrapping your hands around a ceramic mug. My sandwich was also delicious on an Asiago bagel!

Great study spot! It's so cute and cozy with lots of seating. Loved their handwritten menu and how much variety there was. Their jasmine ginger tea was DELICIOUS.

Vegan Breakfast Sandwich

I tried Bean and Leaf's vegan breakfast sandwich and I am so glad I did! I was skeptical that it would taste good because I know it's not their specialty but I loved it! Service is was quick and the staff was friendly, which is always a plus. I am happy to find a local quick vegan breakfast option while out and about that I can grab on the go! It's served on a bagel with a vegan egg and I would come back just for this.

Vegan Breakfast Sandwich & Vegan Bagels (Plain & Everything)

Searching for Vegan Pastries and Breakfast items, I found the vegan sticker on the window and decided to see what was available. A breakfast sandwich option with a vegan sausage, vegan cream cheese, and vegan everything bagel or vegan plain bagel. Other vegan items available were the vegan banana bread, vegan peanut butter chocolate chip cookie, and vegan muffins. Alternative milk options for lattes and teas as well makes this a solid vegan spot to check out! Only challenge is needing to find some street parking at $1.25/hr, or add a block walk from the parking garage on the street behind. Nice atmosphere for light socializing or relaxing by the small fireplace to catch a short break. If you have more vegan sweet craving, the Sanders Chocolates store across the street has a vegan dark chocolate salted carmel waiting for you, as well as a great variety of Kars Trail mixes.

I ate dinner downtown, enjoyed walking around to see the lights, and then stopped into Bean & Leaf for the first time to grab a warm drink with coworkers. It was busy, but not incredibly loud. Like I often do I asked the employee behind the counter how his night was going and he didn't seem incredibly unhappy but he wasn't thrilled to be there either. Whatever. I ordered 4 large drinks, and they were ready quickly. Tasted good. We were there for about 15-20 minutes, not paying attention to the time, and the same employee (older man) came out from behind the counter shouting "WE CLOSE AT 9 O'CLOCK, WHICH IS RIGHT NOW!" and shut off the lights to the "Open" sign. It was definitely an angry shout and not a good mannered "I'm trying to get everyone's attention" voice. It was incredibly awkward. I highly suggest they get a "countdown" clock that customers can see how many minutes until close, or make an announcement 5, 10, or 15 minutes before closing. It could have been easy to have let me know when I ordered that you were closing shortly. Yes, I could have looked at the door when I walked in and looked at my phone to check the time but I was enjoying the company I was with. I have no reason to ever go back.

I don't always drink tea, but when I do, you bet it's only loose leaf! I wish I'd known about this…read moreplace sooner because it's not only close to home, but absolutely fabulous. I found them a few weeks ago when I did a search of stores who actually sell loose leaf tea. The reason I like loose leaf tea versus the garbage sold in the stores is because it comes out way more flavorful, stronger and seems to taste a lot better than the stuff they sell at the grocery. I am also shocked that nobody else has been here before, as I know a few tea drinker who also happen to be active yelpers. Interesting. Anyway, the place is easy to find and right off fourth street and visible from the road. There is street parking, but a parking garage is literally right there on the other side of the street if you need it. As you know, downtown Rochester can get busy at times, so easy places to park is important. Walking in, not only is this place a tea store, but it also sells spices. They also have a ton of cool accessories to choose from throughout, which was really super cool to look at. I've also been on the hunt for the individual honey sticks that seem to be hard to find. Not only do they have the honey sticks, but they came in a variety of flavors? Like flavored honey? Exciting! I just grabbed a packet of regular honey sticks which are sitting in my kitchen now. The spice area has a much larger selection of items, from different varieties of salt, but other seasonings as well. I didn't really study the selection as the place was busy but let me tell you, there's a lot! I went to the tea section and they have all sorts of teas to choose from. I wanted something more citrus/lemon/herbal since I have a sinus infection, but I also wanted to see what else they have. Great selection, pre bagged but make sure you have the steeper's at home. If not, they sell them here too. Service was great, and the staff was knowledgeable. Nobody asked me if I needed help or followed me around the store, but when I did talk to them at check out, these people really seem to be tea oriented and educated on the product. While they aren't cheap by any stretch of the imagination (more along the lines of Starbucks pricing) they are worth every penny. I will be back in the future and I wish they did a better job of advertising!

Who knew there were so many spices?! Stopped in for an alternative to paprika and left with…read moreseveral great ideas! Also found a few great ideas for holiday gifts / will be back in six weeks to finish my shopping!

Peace Love & Little Donuts - More than 50 options to order up at counter

Fun little donut shop, perfect for kids. This location has its own entrance but is also attached to…read morethe Papa Joe's so there's an order window on that side too. I visited randomly one afternoon during the week and there was no line. The woman who helped me was friendly and patient. Basically, they use the same plain cake donut as the base and then add toppings to your choosing. They had more than 50 options, all small enough so you're able to try at least a few. I got the 6 pack and sampled the coconut, cinnamon sugar, maple, strawberry cheesecake, coffee cake, and snick jagger. I admit I had a hard time because I'm not a fan of overly-sugary toppings, but the maple ended up being my favorite. As I was checking out, I noticed they had doggy donuts too! While they accept credit card, it's a 3% surcharge to your order so if you're sensitive to that, bring cash! Plenty of indoor seating but they had really nice boxes for to-go orders too. Overall, while the types of donuts are not to my personal preference, I would return with my nieces.

Ample lot parking, but busy since the Starbucks in that place is hustling like weed stores. Vibe. Harkens to the 60s era -- decor and music. Groovy and far out, man! Offerings. Literally every kind of donut topping you want on your mini-cake donut, made fresh. See pics. Coffee was OK. No real cream, sadly. Hospitality. Friendly, accommodating. This is more grab and go. Limited seating to 10? Of Note. Shared loo with attached grocery story. Love it. Grab a donut and go grocery shopping. I am not a big cake donut person because it is like a muffin with a hole; prefer raised donuts, of course. However, not bad. If you like cake donuts, this is a fun place to try.
