He showed up for one day of work, during which his machine broke down, and he completed only about 25% of the removal job(have not started on stump grinding yet). He then pressured my elderly parents, who are both in their eighties and suffer from Alzheimer's, into paying him $2,000. They are not in a condition to handle high-pressure situations, and I was not present at the time. Given that $2,000 significantly exceeded the value of the work completed, the contractor happily chose not to return and instead began making a series of excuses. At one point, he offered to refund $1,000, but when I tried to collect the refund, he changed his story again saying he will come back to finish but stopped responding to me. It appears he does not keep his words, lie consistently, and is willing to take advantage of vulnerable people whenever the opportunity arises.

Following a service call, Jamie Oil diagnosed the issue as a hole in our water heater coil, and indicated we needed to replace the hot water heater. They indicated they would send an estimate. After calling them several times to request the estimate, I finally received one 5 days later! That's a long time to wait just for an estimate when without hot water in winter. Ultimately, we went with another company that provided much more professional, polite, and prompt service. It was disappointing that a company we had never worked with was more responsive than a company we've done thousands of dollars of business with over a decade.

An additional service call was needed on 2/9/26 to correct an unexpected complication. Jim, another technician came out and was able to diagnose the problem and correct it speedily. All three gentlemen were courteous and willing/able to answer questions.
