Hawthorne Land Surveying Services put these questions to bed. Chad was always professional, personable, respectful and easy to work with. After discussing the workscope of the project, he required very little direction for moving forward. His prices were very reasonable. Chad was always prompt in his communications. He informed us when he would visit or if he needed to reschedule. He kept us up to date on the progress of the project and was amenable to changing the workscope as needed. Chad would readily answer any questions. He explained basic surveying information to us patiently and in detail (it was admittedly a surprising pleasure to learn and appreciate a part of the world that always been there in front of us, but that we did not see or understand). We also appreciated his honesty. If he definitively knew the answer to a question, he stated it. If there was ambiguity, he laid out the options. Perhaps above all else, I felt like he took the time for us to understand and appreciate what we were paying for and what the other options were. He was clearly looking out for our best interest. In our final meeting, he walked the entire property with us and made sure we understood where the stakes were (lots of thickets in the wetlands) and how they were notated. After the offer was put in, if there was any process that seems to have been stuck, she was right there to push along whatever was stuck and we were able to finish the whole business on time, with no unpleasant event. Finally, she was more concerned about the house price than my wife and I were. Even though we were content with whatever price we agreed on, she was able to give us a better "deal". We first heard about Manny when he helped our daughter and her husband purchase a home in Tyngsboro. They had been living in Taunton and she was commuting across the city to Cambridge. She could not continue to do so once she learned that she would be in need of day care. My daughter told me (and Manny later confirmed) that they looked at literally hundreds of houses, between her husband and herself. Manny was extremely patient about spending so much time with them. She said he was also very, very helpful because of his excellent knowledge of houses themselves. He was able to spot issues or problems that were not immediately visible. He also displayed an outstanding knowledge of the housing market and the trends within that market, enabling our daughter and son-in-law to make reasonable offers on various properties. We decided to look for a condominium and wanted one with at least one bedroom on the first floor. We were not able to do so but finally found one in Westford with two upstairs bedrooms. We purchased that property, but we told Manny we wanted to keep looking for something with one bedroom on the first floor. Once again, Manny found something for us, also in Westford. And it turned out that he was able to help us get more for the first condo than we had paid for it! Manny's track record with our family is thus two homes sold and four purchased within about five years. Manny is personable, reliable, knowledgeable, and fun! He always, always, always has his client's interests in the forefront of everything he does. He is patient and reasonable.
