We hired King's Pavers and Masonry to install a paver walkway along the side of our house less than a year ago. Unfortunately, the pavers were sloped incorrectly, causing water to pool against the house, and the walkway is already collapsing due to poor workmanship. The pathway itself is uneven--making it difficult to roll a grill or anything else over it--and the overall shape of the walkway is noticeably crooked. While the work is under warranty, the company has refused to respond to repeated attempts to contact them, including certified mail.

After some gusty days, I found our chimney's rain cap in my backyard, which was the push I needed to look into finding a contractor for long overdue work on our chimney and front steps. See the before pictures for the chimney, I don't have one handy for the steps, but the mortar was missing from between a lot of the bricks, and the limestone slabs were wobbly and not adhered to the step anymore. Chris responded to the request quickly and came out for an assessment, providing estimates both for a repair and a full rebuild of the front steps, and a repair of the chimney. Both very reasonable and in line with estimates from other businesses. We spoke last Friday, Chris had the formal contracts to me by Sunday, and the team was here first thing Tuesday morning working on the steps. They worked quickly but thoroughly, and were on to the work on the chimney by mid-day Wednesday. Once they were up there, they noticed some issues that weren't visible from the ground view, and Chris walked me through it with the photos and quickly got a revised estimate for what it would look like to do a rebuild of the chimney versus the repair, while also indicating that they COULD still do just the repair, but recommended rebuilding, since he knew we'd be looking to also redo the roof soon. They managed to do the full take down of the chimney to just a few bricks below the roof line and rebuild it back up by the end of the day Thursday, and came back Friday just to install the rain cap and clean up the the materials from the demolished chimney and stairs. Our new steps and chimney look great, and I'll definitely be keeping Kings' contact on file for paving/masonry/foundation work we might need in the future!

They held my shovel hostage and mocked me for daring to ask for it back.

Too expensive, went with another contractor. Price with Kings was 5times higher than other vendor for same work.

Very fast turnaround. Chris is professional, and he and his team did an excellent job for a very good price.

Jim and his team at Keller Waterproofing exceeded our expectations on a recent basement project…read more While we had quotes from other local contractors, Jim's decades of experience shone through. We wanted a clean, safe, and dry basement - he talked options with us, and we ultimately went with a French drain, sump pump, and vapor barriers. His crews were clean, professional, and thorough. I cannot recommend Keller Waterproofing enough for any basement project - we have had so many people comment on the high quality of the work.

After meeting with three different basement waterproofing companies to compare plans and pricing,…read morewe ultimately chose Keller Waterproofing. While they were the most expensive option, they worked with us on the price, and their proposal was by far the most comprehensive--clearly reflecting the value behind the cost. Keller was the only company to address not just the interior drainage system and sump pump, but also the exterior downspouts and full-house drainage. They also recommended installing a vapor barrier from floor to ceiling, which no other company suggested. This thoughtful addition was aimed at eliminating odors and helping redirect water from any future cracking--an extra layer of protection we appreciated. Their warranty is advertised as a "lifetime" warranty, though it's technically a 15-year transferable warranty. Still, it's reassuring to know it can be passed along to future homeowners. Once the project began, they uncovered an unexpected issue with our foundation (not surprising given the quirks of our house). The remediation added a significant cost, but after discussing our financial situation, Keller generously reduced the additional charge by nearly 40%. Impressively, even with the added work, they finished the project three days ahead of schedule. Throughout the process, their team was professional and respectful of our space--covering all belongings to protect them from concrete dust. They even went above and beyond by repairing our front sidewalk after running drainage underneath it, leaving it in better condition than when they arrived. As for performance, we haven't had enough rain to truly test the system yet (and hopefully won't anytime soon), but based on garden hose testing, the sump and drainage systems are functioning as designed. The basement already feels noticeably less damp and musty.

I asked the day they finished as I wasn't home the day they installed and they said it wasn't necessary and would have to remove whole thing to do it, I'm not an A hole so I just agreed to pay the 3k because they were good people and I didn't want to inconvenience them but now knowing I'll have to remove everything just to replace that piece of wood is not sitting well with me. Overall it doesn't look great to me and I expected more for that price. I gave 2 stars instead of 0 because the 2 brothers were very professional and seemed like good guys. They were the most expensive quote and I decided to use based off reviews , photos and how great the owner was in person. I hate giving good people 2 stars but I have to be honest .

Did not hear back. I can't speak on behalf of their work because I did not get to that point in the project. I recommend getting back to people and if you are too busy just let them know. There is lots of talk about the economy not doing well due to the pandemic, so it's good to see a company being very busy and that also allows me to give my business to other companies that need the work. I say this in a very non-sarcastic manner. This overall score is not based on the workmanship of the company, but on the customer service, which is a big part of any business whether you like it or not.

Not only did Rich take the time to explain to me what was happening behind the surface of both areas, he patiently answered all of my uneducated questions regarding what he was planning on doing. By the time all my questions were answered, I knew he would do an awesome job. The kicker to all of this, is out of the four different quotes I received, he was the lowest by a good margin. And what an awesome job it was. The retaining wall looks practically new and it was built in the 50s! Even my father-in-law gave it his stamp of approval...and I'm still working on getting mine... If you need any masonry work done, Rich is definitely the guy you need to call. Guaranteed you'll love his work as much as I did.

All of our interactions/communications were very positive. Before the job, everything was very transparent from pricing, the work to be done, options available, etc. And the crew performing the work was extremely professional. Prior to contacting Premier, we had water issues in our basement which made our basement nearly unusable; after getting moderate rain we'd get big puddles of water. After Premier installed the french drain, the basement has become our home office, our workout room, and we can store things without worrying about water damage. Four years later, the basement has been BONE DRY ever since - no water whatsoever, no matter had hard it rains. If you're on the fence, I can say: "do it" - it's been 100% worth it for us, and has transformed the way we use our basement. And Premier Basement Waterproofing is absolutely the company to use, to get the job done right.

Marvin the young man who ran the job site is absolutely amazing , I can't say enough good things about him . The price was a little higher than quotes that came in after I went with Premier but if I had those quotes before and could of saved 2k I would choose not to and stay with Premier mainly because of those 3 people I named. I had a foot of water in my basement after a storm, Marvin arrived and put a sump pump in to drain all the water . He got Jerry to come in and look it over for a quote. I'll post the price and work done. - Came out and drained all the water with sump pump - they demoed a whole room , taking down all the walls , heating system and doors then disposed of all the wood. -they dug , installed about 100 sq feet of French drain , poured drainage gravel on top then re-cemented over it. - they installed a 2 pump system with battery back up and alarm - they installed a moisture barrier on the entire basement - They dug a trench and ran sump line out to safe area outside - Took 3 full days to complete - they stayed until 9pm on a Friday to be sure it was 100% completed. - everything was about 15k in total If you use them make sure you ask for Marvin to do the work , he's very honest and answers all your questions without trying to upsell anything . They literally just left my house at 9pm because they wanted it finished before tomorrows rain , only thing left is Jerry was going to have someone reconnect the heating but everything water proof wise is complete. I'll update the review if there's any issues but as of this moment I've never felt better about a service.
